All Weather Hooks and Strips, Plastic, Small, 16 Clips and 20 Strips/Pack

Light clips were perfect for keeping my deck lights up. I used the extra hooks on a wall to hand my jewelry up on. Small, clear and the perfect size to hang them on.

I haven't tried this yet but want to put a couple of these in my car to hang a small plastic garbage bag in. I think it should work because these are for outdoor and should take the different temperatures.

Man, do I love these! 3m sent me a package for my review. My wife wants lights everywhere at Christmas and with a vinyl sided house, ever nail or hook could be an opportunity to ruin the siding. Command hooks hold the wire safely with enough tension to make a straight line so it doesn't look sloppy. 16 hooks and 20 strips is generous for the task though you'll probably want more than one to do the trick. One thing 3m, I wish you included an alcohol prep pad. That would be real handy.

condo association says no hooks on building. Bah humbug. I use the light clips on my porch windows, I can hang my lights and they can hang it also.

this is the best way to put lights around your door! safe, easy to install, and they work! can leave them up if you have lights for different holidays! also great indoors.

I received the clips as a sample in the mail. Though I haven't had to hang my holiday lights yet, I tried the hooks to hang light cords and I love them. I like the transparent color that can be used in any room.

love the fact they can be used outside for lights, also Love the fact they are waterproof. I used a few inside my fish tank to hold the led rope lights makes my fish tank look beautiful

Just bought a new house wit new vinyl siding and roof. Was very hesitant to hang holiday lights from gutters, eves and roof. Used the clips which were very easy to apply and then remove despite bad weather ie snow, rain and cold. We saved the clips and will just buy replacement tape for next year.

Recently used these on the outside of my camper for some NASCAR weekend decorations. The stayed put even through the rain and cold and came off cleanly when the weekend was over.

My neighbor was going to hire someone to put up there holiday lights. I told them about the command strip outdoor light hooks, and said I thought we could do this without hiring some pros. We entourage out and made the purchase and about an hour or so later we put up the hooks with ease and completed a very nice lighting display using only the outdoor hooks. They just worked splendidly.

I had good luck with indoor clips last year and was excited to see an outdoor line, which I thought would allow me to put strings of mini-lights around my windows without using nails or otherwise causing damage. I followed the installation instructions carefully, but the adhesive does not stick to the aluminum cladding around the windows. Nearly all the clips popped off when I tried to install mini light strings. Temp at the time was around 45F. A waste of money.

I bought these for Christmas 2013 to hang my mini lights in the windows. They worked great! The problem came for Christmas 2014. I searched everywhere for replacement strips and couldn't find them. I called your company and the guy said that I didn't need the clear refill strips and that, because I was using them inside the windows, that I could use the white refills. I went to Home Depot and bought the white refills and they worked fine until it came time to remove them. They will not come off. If the refills that work are not very affordable or available, then why buy these clips. I will not recommend these to anyone.

I was skeptical when I first bought these to hang solar lights across my fence on the dark side of the house. I thought to myself "there is NO WAY these will hold up through all the seasons," even though I have never been disappointed in any of the Command products I use. Much to my surprise, over a a year later, they have survived torrential rains, snowstorms, very high heat and humidity, and gusting winds. How did you do that, 3M? I simply cleaned the small area of my 6 ft white fence where I was going to place the hooks, and followed the directions. I might add, the light string on my solar lights is a very, very fine wire. I had to put a small piece of tape over it to keep it in place, but that was not a big deal, and well worth it.

Outdoor would NOT stick at all to vinyl siding. Tried on PVD..no go..tried on aluminum nada....won't even stick to skin!
Terrible and substandard for Command.

We bought these to hang Christmas lights. We put them up and waited over an hour before trying to hang lights. As soon as we got the lights hooked it, every single one of the hooks fell! I will never buy these again!! DEFINITELY not worth the money I paid for them!!!!

I bought the clear hooks for outside Christmas lights. Could not get them to stay. It was as if there was no adhesive on them. After many attempts went with clear packing tape.

I got these hoping they were the cure my frustration with my Chirstmas lights. Nope. The backing of the sticker won't come off properly, so half of them weren't sticky and ruined. When I used up all the stickers for only half the hooks, it's been a waste. We use command products for everything, but there were far from useful.

They simply do not stick. WARNING: Do NOT buy them!

Used to put up lights and came home to find clips and lights on ground. Thought if I placed more, closer together to distribute weight of lights - thought wrong. Product not made for outdoors - unless no change in temperature and no precipitation.

I bought 3 packs of these to put up my icicle Christmas lights and they were a huge disappointment! I followed the recommendations and was careful to wipe down the surfaces before placing the strips and holders on the house, but in different areas the adhesives were just not sticking. It was very frustratingId to get the lights up and in place only to come out and find sections of them had fallen! I even tried using two adhesives to each holder and that didn't work either. I was trying not to put nails into the eves of the house, but ended up having to do just that.

The clip part is awesome!  The issue seems to be in the outdoor adhesive strip.  I was hanging a lightweight string of patio lights, using clips as directed (every 2 feet) and in one day it was all shattered on the ground :(  I re-used the clips on an indoor project with a normal command strip and its perfect.  Issue seems to be the outdoor strip??\
I could not return to the store as I used all the outdoor strips, but now my stash of regular command strips is depleted.  Totally bummed!

I was thrilled when these clips held up strings of lights on our new Duralum patio cover. We used 2 packages and placed them every 6 inches to avoid sagging. But days later I went outside and found 4 out of 6 strands of lights shattered on the ground.  I'm guessing the heat was too much for the adhesive.  That was a very expensive lesson.

The clips are great unfortunately the strips do not stick at all. I cleaned the vinyl around my windows as directed. Spent a long time hanging lights inside my windows even had them spaced only six inches apart. Woke up this morning with my lights on the floor. With the price of these clips I would expect them to work. 8

We weren't sure how we were going to hang our Christmas swags on the exterior windows. Thought we'd give them a try. Though they are for lights, each hook holds a swag with no issues. When the window is closed, you can't see the clip from the inside or outside of the house.

I bought these yesterday and followed the directions on the package. Cleaned the area on the  metal siding trim I stuck them on beforehand and then put them on. Then put the lights on. Worked great.. or so I thought. I strung all the lights up. Wonderful.\

Three hours later 1/2 the clips were unstuck and my lights were hanging down.\

It was strange because after I stuck them on, I tried to move them and I couldn't budge them.\

I have used the inside versions of this and it works well. The outside, doesn't seem to  work too well.

I replaced ugly nails around my garage with these clips to hang Christmas Lights.  Very pleased.

Kudos 3M Command Outdoor Light Clips for enabling a handicapped person   to decorate  outside again, great for lights and garland, with no hammering or damage to the exterior of my home.

I had the opportunity to try a sample of the command outdoor light clips and I love these things.  my holiday light display consists of over 70,000 light so I am always on the look out for product to simplify decoratingId.  I used the light clips to hand light around my front windows and doors.  the old clips I had in place which required staples had dry rotted from exposure to the sun.  the 3Mclips appear to be much more sturdy and attach with out damaging the surface.  I already went shopping for more clips.

I put these out on the gutters. I had some light strings I wanted to install.  So much easier than trying to use tape of screw in hooks. Easy to put on  and if you make a mistake and needto move then you can of so

I am decoratingId my room with mini lights and this is the easiest project ever with these clips!!! So glad I don't have to use nails that ruin my walls. Thank you for creating these.... this is my true and honest opinion.

The actual clear light clips for hanging Christmas tree lights outside are great and I've found different uses indoors for them. I hung one at the bottom of a wall to hold a power cord in place. I have another one attached to my TV holding a cord in place making my entertainment center less messy. With these projects however, I did NOT use the tape that was included. The tape included is white and I needed clear tape, which I was able to get at a home improvement store, since it does not need to be in extreme temperatures.\
I'm hesitant to hang the clips outside first because I have colored trim and the white tape will stand out and look funny. Second, because the package says not to put the tape on rough surfaces, like brick, cement board or rough sawn wood. If I don't put the tape on the trim, it would be on the rough clapboard and I'm not sure I want that.\
So I'm sticking with indoor uses for now!

These clips were a free sample. They work very well on the vinyl siding to hold the electrical wires used for yard inflatables and lights.

A couple of years ago before 3M offered the Command Light Clips, I purchased just the regular clips and mounted them around the front door to hand Christmas lights.  Well, two holidays later, and they are still hanging on!  This is surviving the harsh Western New York winter weather!  Plus they make hanging Christmas lights a snap!  I leave them up all year round, and they are barely noticeable.  I also received a free sample from 3M of the Light Clips, and they work as great as the original.

I've been looking for something that I can use to hang some new LED lights on outside the house and these work great.

I hung patio lights on my screened patio.  Did everything you recommended.  Lasted two weeks and the last four days now a different strand got lose and came down.  I bought 4 sets of command clips 16 clips and 4 extra strips.  I don't want to keep going back for more strips.  I'll fight this a few more weeks and if it continues to come undone I'll have too find something else.  I love the xmas clips for sure.

i like things that are convenient and easy to use. they are useful for other things that i like to put up around my house also. When i put them up to the window to put lights on they stayed there till i removed them. I think i will put them back up and buy some more for my other windows for the holidays. All i hafta do is replace the light set and no nails required!

I received this item free to try and used it to transform my tiki bar. As with other Command products the clips went up easily, held the string of lights and removed without a trace. I was kinds of skeptical because of their small size that they would not be able to handle the weight of the lights, but I was surprised to fnd they did exactly what they promised.

I received these hooks as a free sample. We used them to put some lights up in our awning over the deck. So far they have held up very nice. Very easy to apply to the surface also was easy to remove when needed to be. we put to many up for the lights we installed so the extra ones came off rather easy.

I love these light clips. I use them for hanging my Christmas lights. They are well made, and easy to use. I definitely recommend them.

As a 2nd year college student, I have had to use/buy many types of Command products throughout my college experience. I bought these clips for my first college apartment at Ohio State, my roommates and I wanted to be able to decorate our porch and found really cute outdoor string lights. We tried many ways to hang the lights and nothing was working. Until we found these clips at a local store one day! THEY WORK!!!! We have had the lights hung for 2 moths now and they have made it through every system of weather that has come through! I would highly recommend this product, or any Command product to anyone! I love Command!!

I bought these clips about 3 weeks ago and over half of the adhesive backings have fallen off

I use Command hooks for many things but had never used them outdoors. Never did I I didn't think for a moment that these outdoor light clips would be such a flop in more ways than one. I use command hooks for quite a number of things in my home.  I went through every single one of the double stick tabs included with these outdoor light clips since quite a number of them wouldn't stick to the PVC rail at all. After much time, trouble and frustration the lights were finally hung around my deck.   A few days later I noticed that a few of the clips had actually broken at the back of the curve where the lights sit inside the clip.  I assumed that maybe someone had accidentally pulled at the lights at that point and that's why the clip had broken - that was not the case.  The deck had not been in use and I noticed a few more clips broke at the same place on the actual clip.  This continues to happen.  I should have read the reviews first.  I'm not surprised to see that most of the reviews on these clips are negative.  I'm really disappointed - these things aren't all that cheap and I spent a lot of time putting them all in place only to have to continually monitor them.

I bought these to put lights up outside.Since we recently moved into our new home a few months ago and are now able to decorate with lights outside.  They are great but from reading some of the reviews I wonder if some of these people didn't read the directions.  Clean area with rubbing alcohol, attach the clips, one every TWO feet, and WAIT ONE HOUR before attaching lights.  I followed the instructions to the letter and have not had any problems at all.

Purchased these from Target for outdoor Christmas lights.  I followed the directions, wiping and drying the surface and then holding the clip for 30 seconds.  As I put up the second clip though the first would fall right off.  I tried several of the clips, but most fell off before the 1 hour "curing" time.  This was for Christmas lights around my roof line, on painted wood.  I guess these just don't work there.  I've used indoor Command products with success, these outdoor ones just aren't working though.

This stained glass puffin has been hanging on our porch window for about a year with a command hook. Nov 30, 2018, we had a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. The command hook held like a champ!

I received these as part of a product review program. While these are intended to hold lightweight cords of string lights outside, I have found other uses as well. The Command adhesive used here is much stronger than the standard type, and you can feel this even when you are peeling the backing tape off. The hold is solid and the clear plastic is a bonus for concealment.

I bought these this weekend. We live in a humid and hot area so that may be the cause but we strung patio lights up and even doubled up where we put light holder but they still fell down and even caused one strand to break.

I stumbled upon these clips last year, while looking for something specific to decorate my parents headstone at the cemetery.  I had bought 2 scarecrow decorations and needed a way to mount them onto the stone without causing damage, while keeping them secure (it is usually very windy at the cemetery).  The Command Light Clips were perfect!  I used them again this Fall to secure the scarecrow again.  I am so thankful for these gems!
