Just what the power ordered
PROS: All metal and very sturdy. Just what the doctor ordered. The AC cord is long and can be shortened to what one needs for a permanent install. Spacing is good for wall warts.
CONS: Mounting brackets are not very secure, but workable.
Recommended over the cheaper versions because of the quality of construction.

I needed a power strip with a lot of outlets and a low profile, and this is exactly what I was looking for. I've been using it for over a year and had absolutley no problems. The mounting hardware is a nice touch.

Great choice for multiple equipment environments
I purchased this power strip approx. 2 years ago, and it's been powering over 14 devices since then, on a near-daily basis. My video lab needed more outlets, and this 16-socket strip was easily tucked away by mounting it under my editing desk.
It is lightweight, easily mountable, and stays cool to the touch. The illuminated rocker switch and reset button are great, and allows me to notice if I've lost power without having to crawl under the desk.
The 15-foot cord seems like it would be too much, but the lack of receptacles in the office made the cord a blessing. All of the outlets are in use daily (running multiple computers and video components), with UPS devices in line, and it has been well worth the money spent.
It SHOULD rate 6 out of the 5 available stars !!!

Perfect Small Office Solution
Even in a "Simple" home office cords and cabling quickly get out of control. Adding this product behind desks, worktables, etc, using the provided wall mount brackets, turns a unmanagable sea of cords into a very managable one. Off the floor! and you can velcro your cords for further neatness.
I use this product at home and at work

I just finished a kitchen remodel. I built in a bookcase with a special feature, a recharging center. Behind a drop front panel, I had a shelf dedicated to charging cell phones, pdas and etc. I wired a standard 110 V outlet into the sidewall.
The PS2408 was an exact fit, mounted to the back panel. I had to cut the cord short and install another plug but this was the finishing touch.
We now have a hidden area with outlets for charging up to eight devices.

Great workbench power strip
I needed some more easily accessible outlets for my workbench and this product was perfect. The outlets are spaced well enough to fit large transformers and it is well made. I may be buying another one in the near future.

Best thing about this product is the cover over the power switch
And its surge protection
I didn't think they made a power strip this long with these accessories.
Also has an appealing look to it.
And also very light weight.
The power cord is heavier then the unit itself but that doesn't matter for the application i need it for.

I purchased this product to be used as a heavy duty powerstrip behind my entertainment system. My system consists of a 50" Panasonic plasma, Directv HDTV tuner, Onkyo reciever, Panasonic bluray player, AppleTV 2, Xbox 360 kinect, PS3, and a 4 port hub. I have everything plugged into this strip with plenty of outlets left over. So far I have had no problems at all with the PS4816. I was very impressed with it's solid metal construction and heavy gauge power cord. I also used the included metal clips that allow you to hang the strip on the wall. Another great feature is the plastic cover over the power switch to keep from accidently turning it off. All in all, I am very happy I purchased this product and plan on buying a few more in the future.

great bar, works wonderfully, no problems
Does what it should, without problems. Had 24" strip for years, added a 60" strip when the computer service expanded. But, I can't help myself offering suggestions. (1) Suppose the strip is mounted horizontally, strictly to understand orientation; provide the power input to come in from the bottom. As it is, the cord enters from the side away from the wall, and this heavy duty cord sticks out too far for me. If it came in from the bottom, or even from the end where the reset button is (the reset could be placed where the cord now enters), it would make for a cleaner appearance (at least in my office). (2) So many transformers are oriented so that they cover two outlets, it would be nice if the outlets were rotated 90 degrees. That's all. Even without my suggestions, it's still a great product.

Problem solving outlet power strip
Finding this outlet strip was terrific. Other power strips space the outlets closure together and are usually made of plastic. Additionally, the outlets are not as secure and eventually get loose after repeated use. This strip solves all of these problems. Quality was not sacrificed in the design and manufacture of this product while pricing is kept at a reasonable level. If you need a lot of outlets and you are plugging devices in and out frequently. Then this is the power outlet strip you need.

It is a 12-outlet power strip with heavy duty 15-ft power cord. It is made with high quality materials. Each outlet is spaced enough that you can use for AC adapter or any device. You just cannot find similar product anywhere else.

Great product line (PS Series) but needs a slight makeover...
The PS Series of multiple-outlet power strips is a nice design, and well-made, but its power switch would be more accessible if it were mounted at the opposite end, so that it would be at the TOP of a vertically mounted strip.

Many "wall wart" type plugs still block adjacent outlets. Perpendicular orientation of the outlets or alternating orientation would have made the strip much more useful.

This bar is in my garage. I live at an apartment complex that offers garages and I got this bar to take advantage of the electrical outlet that the garage door opener is plugged into. It was a pain to plug in my power tools to the outlet in the ceiling so I got this bar. The cord is longer than I needed which made hanging it on the wall easy. I ran the cord from the middle of my 1 car garage down to the middle of the wall where I clipped it into the brackets that it came with. Now I have plenty of outlets that I can use without having to worry about plugging and unplugging tools. This bar is well designed. It is sturdy and it has a cover on the on/off switch which is smart. No complaints here!

Why Every One needs One...or More!
I first saw this product at work under a conference table. I was sold on the spot, ordering one off the web right there and then, having added 2 more since then. Why you may ask? Home office? you know how many cords you have! for computer(s), monitors, routers, tablets, smartphone, you know the drill, there is NEVER enough outlets where you need them. Generous lead cable makes locating it right where you need it a cinch! Great for the garage workbench as well!

Construction is solid; yet it's relatively lightweight. It's well constructed. Main switch comes with a protective cover so it's not accidentally triggered. Reset button on the top of the rail next to the power cable.
Use it in a workbench.

I had a huge rats nest of wires under my coffee table, projector, wall worts for remote, cordless phone, base, computer, xbox, etc etc etc... bought one of these and screwed it to the bottom of the coffee table, then used velcro ties to bundle the cords up to the strip by the plugs, all neat and tidy!

Battery gave out in less than a year. Never held power longer than 60-90 minutes. Bought APC and it's well worth the money.
I live in Panama where there are frequent power outages. I bought two Tripp-lites with 120-minute run time during power outages and it'd lose it's power within 60 minutes or less, running two laptop computers (with batteries to boot!).. Bought four Tripp-Lites (two had shorter durations) and have only one left (others were disposed of, because they failed within a short time) and it's keeping our TV running during the outages, so it's OK. During the power outage, they tend to start squealing at the end of their charge which is highly irritating and I had to shut them down completely (before their charge life completely ended). I just purchased another brand and it's worked quite well, has more informative display and has a shut-off switch for the alarm so it can be quiet at night while we're sleeping, not having to be rudely awakened during a power outage in the middle of the night.

Sturdy, compact and just the right size
I have owned this product for many years and had no problems. I have read the positive and negative reviews of this product and agree with many of their pros and some of the cons. In the case of the most negative review of this product, the recommendation would increase the size significantly and make this product useless to me. I bought the PS4816 because of the compact size and quality of construction. I have always been able to work around fixed unmovable plugs. Albeit movable plugs are a nice feature, they add bulk and safety concerns, especially when the product is not constructed properly. I have had one or two of those that arc'd and sparked. Overall this is an excellent product that fit perfectly behind my computer, printer and homemade tower holding my router, desk items, etc.

I purchased 25 of these strips to help with the cabling of a number of racks in my datacenter. Construction of the units was sturdy and the power cords were more than long enough to reach sockets without problem. The covers over the on/off switches on the unit can be a bit difficult to open but this is not necessarily a bad thing.
Of the 25 units, one of them failed within a few weeks as it began smoking while in use. It was replaced immediately without question by support.
More options to connect this to a rack might be welcome but overall it is a good product.

Outstanding product I will buy again
Use them to replace multiple 4-6 plugs daisy chained to have enough outlets. The power strip is perfect is has plenty of outlets and I no longer have fire hazards in the office. I am planning on purchasing 10 more to fix remaining offices in my buildings.
