3750 Commercial Grade Packaging Tape, 3" Core, 1.88" x 54.6 yds, Clear, 6/Pack

I've been shipping items from my home for 6 years due to on line selling, I learned early that Scotch is the only brand I can rely on for reliable and easy packing. I NEVER price compare for tape, I always buy Scotch no matter what might be on sale.
I recently discovered the Sure Start packing tape when I asked my mom to pick me up some SCOTCH packing tape at the store (yes I was specific about the brand). I was a new mom so running out with a baby was not as easy. She brought back the Sure Start packing tape, I always used the heavy duty so this was new for me. To my delight it met all of my packing needs and it was so quiet, I realized I wouldn't have to worry about it awaking the baby. I was free to pack to my hearts desire that night (and many nights since then) without any worries. Thank you for such a great product!

I use thise tape all the time and it's so convenient , unwinding quickly and strong so I can securely use less. I always have plenty on hand for items I must get out! It always looks professional.

As advertised, this tape starts easily. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing I can say about it. It sticks very poorly, rendering it almost useless as shipping tape. It also cuts very poorly using a standard shipping tape dispenser, perhaps because it comes off the roll so easily and thus doesn't provide enough tension for the dispenser to work. Ultimately, I'm extremely dissatisfied with this product.

I was also frustrated with this tape. Even though it says Shipping/Packaging tape, don't buy it (model 3450 tape) for paper or cardboard envelopes or boxes. It doesn't stay in place. It is very suitable to use on plastic packages.\

For boxes, use model 3650 tape (Long Lasting Storage Packing tape). The 3650 tape is much stickier and never falls off of boxes.\

My complaint to 3M is that they make many types of tape, and it's hard to tell which is suitable for which use. Even if you are just looking for packing tape.

I bought this tape because of the Scotch brand and because it is easy to start the roll.  It was more expensive but I thought it would be worth it.  It does not stick well to cardboard boxes and I use new boxes so there is no dirt etc. on boxes.  The last roll I used when I unrolled the tape it shredded down the middle in two places and I wasted tape just trying to get it whole again.  Last week I had packages in a plastic bag to take to the post office and when I got there, because the tape did not stick well to the box, it stuck to the plastic bag and ripped my shipping label off.  It sticks to the plastic bag but not the box.  I bought 12 rolls of this and because I bought them on line, it would cost me half the cost of the tape to return the last 6 roll package I have.

"Sure Start" is not as thick as the older 3M packaging tape. I used it on all sides of  a 20 pound box of books in the usual way (no problems with taping like this in the past).  The recipient just wrote to say the box arrived burst open with some other junk in it (not the books), with the statement, "next time use a LOT more tape."   So don't rely on this !

This tape works well for taping boxes for shipping.  I like that it's a bit thicker than normal packing tape, on top of that it is very easy to start!\

I used Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape recently for the first time to send a package to a friend. With other brands that I've used in the past, the package has arrived in fairly good condition but the tape I had used to hold the label on had come off or bled in the rainy weather, and on some occasions the package had been returned to me because it had come open during shipping. I didn't have any of those issues this time when I used Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape! The label stayed attached and withstood rain water, the contents were intact and the box did not come untapped! Also starting this roll of tape was  easier than other kinds. This one didn't rip and come off in small pieces or strips, which can be incredibly annoying. Definitely going to be stepping my packaging tape game up with more Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape!

Wow. I’m super amazed by how quiet this tape roll dispenses! Most tape rolls you can hear from another room, this one makes no noise at all which makes it perfect for my at home business!

The roll is easy to start, the tape stays in place and easy to glide over where I need to tape and removes and cuts off where I want to stop with a breeze. By far, this was the easiest and quietest packing tape I've ever used.  Didn't have to search for the beginning of the tape to get the roll started. No annoying schreaching noises either. 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate.

I ship a lot of packages that weigh about 6lbs each. It is important to find a packing tape that will hold shut and stick to the box. This definitely sticks well and does not require that I add extra tape to secure my package. The Sure Start feature is wonderful too, because I hate wasting time picking at the end of tape. It really works and I think it's a great feature.\

Have you ever been packaging up something to send to someone or even packing several boxes to ship and the loud, noisy sound coming from the tape dispenser was about to get on your last nerve? I know I have, and worse, I've even scared nearby family/friends because of the unexpected, loud, & obtrusive noise those packing tape dispensers make! Thanks to 3M's new Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape, I no longer have to be concerned about that issue. In fact, I can do my packaging late at night and not have to worry about waking anyone up now! In addition to that, this tape starts and stops seamlessly without fraying or splitting! Not having to spend ten minutes trying to get the roll of tape back to an even rolling pattern when it splits/tears is wonderful! As busy as my schedule is a lot of days, it's so nice to have another tool/product that makes your life easier and more productive and the Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape does just that and without compromising the excellent quality we already love with 3M Scotch Packaging Products! Needless to say, I'll definitely be stocking up on this new packing tape!!

I was sent a sample of the 3M shipping tape and right away noticed a difference in ease of use and quality from the shipping tape I had been using. Great product!

This tape arrived just in the nick of time!  I was already in the process of packing up to move and had grabbed some tape from the same place I got boxes...let's just say, it was pretty lackluster!  As soon as it arrived, I started using this packaging tape and the experience was MUCH IMPROVED.  I've always liked Scotch-brand tape because it performs well and after using a different brand, I don't think I'll ever switch.  I only had to tape the boxes along the seams once and I never felt like they would fall apart.  Also, this version was much easier to unwind and tear than previous versions, so the upgrade is great!  I will continue using this tape as I pack and once this roll runs out I will definitely purchase more!

I've been using 3M-Scotch shipping tape for years.  It's great quality, crystal clear, and easy to use.  How could it be improved?  Surprisingly, it was!  The Sure Start lives up to it's name  Each time I've used it, I haven't had to fumble with getting it started - something I was just accustomed to.  The coolest part though is the quick, smooth pull.  My first time using it I pulled as normal, and got a lot of tape.  Wow... it releases wonderfully smoothly and quietly.  I've mailed several packages with it now & it really makes packaging items simple. I received my Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape from 3M for my honest review. I immediately put this tape to use when I received it! I had a couple of birthday packages to mail out and wanted to be sure the packaging I used was something I could trust. This tape was really easy to use. It was also super quiet! Normally you get that horrible sound when you use packaging tape but this one was really quiet. It was wonderful to use! I will definitely be buying this in the near future!

This tape works very well!  It comes off the roll smoothly without folding over on itself or wrinkling.  The plastic tabs below the blade prevent the end of the tape from sticking back to the roll - no searching for the end of the tape!  The blade cuts evenly and easily so the end of the tape stays even.  Great product!

This  tape works great and is easy to use.  It has been great for summer projects with the kids

First, what I like: the refillable plastic dispenser is superb. It's designed with little plastic tabs on either side, underneath the blade, so that after you cut off your preferred length of tape, the end of the tape no longer flops down on the roll, leaving you to have to turn the roll around and around until you find the start. I was given this product as a free sample in exchange for my review.  I used it this tape early this morning to prepare a box for shipping and was pleasantly surprized to find that I did not wake up my whole family.  Usually tape makes a very distinctive noise and this one is silent!  As usual, it is a 3M sticky product and it works just like it should, nice and sticky.  Dispenser was a little confusing at first, but once I used it, it made perfect sense.  Another great Scotch 3M product

Happy to try out this shipping packaging tape provided by 3M. Easy to use dispenser that doesn't take up too much drawer space. Rolls smoothly and easily onto your packages without any effort. Though the tape is thinner (I usually use heavy duty), it secures boxes and envelopes thoroughly for shipping. I feel confident using it for all my needs.

I received the product free from 3M.  The tape is easy to start and get going around boxes.  It is thicker than other tape I have used so it should hold up well during shipping.  I like that the dispenser can be refilled.  I also like that it is made in the USA.  I would buy it again the next time I need more tape.

The tape itself did the job I need it to do, but I did have to press down on it with my hands to make sure it stuck to my boxes. Excellent clarity for taping on shipping labels. The dispenser is useful for larger boxes, but as I was shipping out smaller packages, it felt a bit unwieldy to use.

This is the only shipping tape I use. No other brand matches this. Easy to use, goes on easy and keeps my packages secure.

I regularly use tape around the house and office; my major problem is to start the tape, it does take time and I was excited to find out there is a tape that won’t have this problem. So far, I can say the tape is super easy to start, I just love to spend my time in the actual packaging rather than the tape going messy on me. I don’t give this product 5 stars just because I need to verify how good it stays in place over time.

I received this tape from 3M but my opinion is my own. I hate wasting tape trying to find the end and getting it not to rip. There was zero problem getting this tape started and it wraps easily. Packages need one strip and they are secure. It was so easy to get back to school packages in the mail for all the kids heading off to college. Will definitely continue to buy this tape.

I use this Shipping Tape for everything around the house. The dispenser is easy to use and doesn't get bound up like the smaller style does. It's easy to pull and cut. The tape is nice and strong and I know it will hold up. I like to online shop so I'm constantly returning things. I need a good shipping tape to box up my returns. I always go with Scotch Shipping Tape!

I received a roll of this Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape free from 3M and was ready to put it to the test.  I have used it for a while now, since these pictures were taken upon taping up my first box with it.  I am happy to report that it works great.  The tape glides smoothly in the dispenser and tears cleanly with ease.  The tape adheres well to boxes and the like, but is surprisingly easy to re-start if you drop it and it sticks back to itself completely.  Definitely recommend!

This tape is excellent! As a single mom packing boxes is hard when your watching your kids. I wanted to pack at night but the tape roll would wake my daughter without fail. This product is quiet! It’s easy to rip with one hand. Strong as can be. And there’s a very nice amount on the roll.

I received this product free to review from 3M.  I thoroughly enjoyed this handy product.  I have shipped several packages over the past few months and this tape has been one of the easiest to use.  It performs as it says, it is easy to unwind and does not get tangled on itself.  I've really enjoyed using it and will purchase it once I have run out.
