The curved bottom of the shovel head and Poly D-Grip help to increase leverage so that you can scoop and lift with ease. As you push the shovel forward, snow will collect. When you're ready to throw, push down on the D-Grip, and the shovel head will roll back, allowing you to lift the tool and dispose of the snow.
