Adhesive Putty, Removable, 2 oz

I really like the Scotch Adhesive Putty. I use it in my classroom to put up laminated posters to the classroom walls. The putty makes the posters stay put, but it's also very easy to remove them from the walls without peeling paint off the walls. My daughter uses it to show off her work at home and put her horse posters on the walls. No more nail holes all over the walls.

I've used this adhesive to adhere posters to several surfaces including metal, block and wood paneling and have never had issues with it holding. The best part is, when you take it down, you can save it in a baggie and re-use it unlike other adhesives!!

I purchased this because my office has policies about what can be adhered to walls. I thought this would be the perfect solution. Nope. Doesn't stick if the walls are cool to the touch which is most interior walls of an air conditioned office building. I'm quite disappointed in this product and would not recommend it. Other recommended products are basically double sticky tape which will ruin whatever you are trying to hang. 3M missed the mark on this one.

I bought this to hang stuff up in my dorm room and I've had items (less than a pound) break because the putty doesnt stick and no matter how much putty I use and how much I knead it, my posters, small decor, etc. does not stay hanging for more than a few minutes. I used a generic brand last year which worked so much better and was cheaper so going back to using that product.

I got this as a sample from 3M. This putty is great for keeping picture frames on the wall from moving around. When you remove the picture, the putty comes off with the frame & the paint stays on the wall. I have used it under plates that sit in the glass plate ridge in my china hutch & the plate doesn't slide over time when the doors open and close to the hutch. Great stuff!

I really like the features of this product such as being removable and can be used multiple times.

I received a free sample of the mounting putty from 3M.  The product delivers what it says it will do.  It will hold light weight posters / pictures to a wall and is easily removed. I hung three posters for my two boys and the posters are still holding with no issues.  One we had to remove and relocate and the putty was just as sticky as when it come out of the package.  When we removed the poster the putty stuck to the wall but was easily removed by rubbing my fingers over it and it rolled right off.  There was no spotting or markings of any kind from the putty either.  \
I did try hanging a poster in a small frame however the putty was not enough to hold the frame.  It truly has about a one pound limit.  \
This would be a great product for teachers or business of any sorts to use as it will not damage the walls.  This is great as a parent as well because we can now display our children's work and remove it with out damaging tape or worrying if we have enough magnets for the fridge.  As in the past with other 3M products they have delivered a great product.

This will be good when I put my new picture in their new frames on the wall.

My family uses this putty all the time to post things on the walls for a short time. Posters for our homeschool, artwork, you name it...It comes off of the wall and the paper so easily, no mess. I received this item for free in return for my honest opinion. Although I have lost count of how many packages of this I have purchased over the years. I have also used it to stand taper candles upright in candle holders as well.

I got a free sample and man was I amazed.  Works better then the yellow putty I had for years.

Have used this in two different ways:  I mounted an item on the wall and anchored a wayward power strip to a shelf.  In both cases the putty held and when the objects were removed the finish was unharmed.  The only problem I had was tearing off a new  piece of putty the size I needed - it is very stretchy. Scissors solved the problem .

I received this product free to try and I couldn't wait to try it!  I use this type of putty in my classroom for so many things!  It is better than others I have tried that it doesn't get too soft after using.  It sticks well, but comes off clean.  LOVE it!!

This works great.  I used to attach posters to walls.  They stay attached very well without sliding.

I wanted to hang up some of my new gamer posters in my bedroom without using tacks or putting holes in my wall. Mounting putty did the trick! It was easy to apply and also easy to take off (I decided to move a poster to a different wall and there was no residue left over.)

I use this in so many places...it holds my grandchildren's pictures neatly in place. It is so small that it is very discreet so it feels like magic!

I did received this product FREE for an honest review. Scotch Adhesive Putty can be used for multiple purposes: I use it to hang my kids artwork on the windows or the walls. I've used this to mount photos to the mat in a frame & to help keep picture frames straight on the wall. I've also used it to stick glow in the dark stars on the kids ceiling or other lightweight holiday/birthday decorations on walls/ceiling. I like that I can take it off surfaces without damage and it is reusable. I did see a good tip somewhere to use scissors to cut the amount you want. When you pull, it really stretches & sometimes you only need a small amount.

I received this as a free sample from 3M so I could try it out.  Wow.  This is "beefy" as I like to say.  It reminds me of clay and take a little bit of handling to figure out how much you want to use.  The label says it is removable and works on most porous and nonporous surfaces.  Since I have only had it a couple of weeks and I hung up some kids drawing with it, I have been unable to test how it removes after a year or so.

I use this for everything, on walls, paper, holding toys and electronics in place etc.Roll a tiny bit between your fingers into a small ball to warm it up a bit. Then stick it to the paper and stick it to the wall -- so simple. It holds well and is easy to remove and reuse. it does not damage surfaces, or will it remove paint from your wall when removed. It is tacky enough to hold lighter objects, and if using a heavier object, just use more to hold. My kids love to use it and it is safe for them to use, and not messy like glue. I will continue to use this product, and i recommend this product.

I have been using this putty to hold swatches of fabric on my basement wall as I'm planning sewing projects so I can look at different colors, textures and patterns together and rearrange as necessary. The walls I put the swatches on are cinder block and so far the putty holds them well. I can remove and move them around a few times before the putty loses it's stickiness, handy for me because I like to change my swatches around if I'm not liking a color combination. If you quilt and like to ponder over color or pattern before you start cutting, this putty is helpful.\

I received this product in exchange for my honest review and I honestly like it and will rebuy when I eventually run out, a little goes a long way.

I used this mounting putty instead of tape to adhere some posters to my wall. The putty eventually left a disgusting, noticeable grease spot that seeped to the front side of my posters. Nice job, my perfectly good posters have been ruined by this shoddy product.

I use this to hold swatches of fabric on the cinderblock walls in my basement sewing room. When I plan a quilt, I like to play with colors so I put several dabs of this on the wall then put swatches of fabric on them. It holds them nicely for a day or two while I fiddle around with my color layout. \
I also use this on the corners of a couple framed pics, we have a couple frames that seem to go crooked the minute I walk past them. So I put a small bit on the two lower corners, doesn't show and holds them in place perfectly.

This product works great. I used it to hang a bunch of pictures on the wall as an impromptu picture collage. I have had them on the wall for a long time now and they still hold
