Good, leaves minor residue

I bought this product for a while until I switched to the Seventh Generation liquid dish soap. I didn't like that it left minor residue on all of my dishes. It lasted a long time as any other dish soap, and I always had mostly clean dishes, food was never left on them though, just soap residue.

This stuff works ok in our hard water

It leaves the dishes clean but not what you would call crystal clear. Nothing works in hard water like a phosphate containing soap.

Just switched to seventh generation. I'm hooked!

I just tried this dishwasher detergent for the first time. I've been using a different national brand for years and, from that, grew accustom to the overwhelming chemical cleanser-like type scent when opening the dishwasher door. After using seventh generation detergent, there was no chemical scent. The dishes just smelled clean - actually good! And they were so clean. I'm sticking with this detergent. I only wish I could find it in a bigger box so I could buy more at one time.

Does a great job

I tried other earth friendly dishwasher detergents with poor results. Seventh Generation's product cleans my dishes perfectly when I used a rinse aid. I have a few spots if I forget to refill the rinse aid, but there is no food left on my dishes, and I do not pre-wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.

I LOVE this soap

I have been using SG dishwasher powder for years. I had tried all the natural cleaners available and then found this. I am unsure why some people are having spotty results. I have never seen any. Also, I find that it cleans out coffee stains etc much much better than the other brands I tried. Love Seventh Generation. I now use this, the liquid dish soap and the liquid Laundry Soap.

First time trying!

I've been using the dish soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent. I gave it a whirl after realizing I had no pods left, so the dishes were in the washer for 1.5 days. I bought the powder. Dishes are done and are squeaky clean--amazing!! I have baby bottles, wooden spoons, regular dishes and glasses and it blasted thru everything. Highly-Recommend!

Cleans but leaves a powdery residue

My first and only experience with a Seventh Generation product. I was sold on the clean and low toxicity of the ingredients since my wife and I decided to put the baby bottles in the dishwasher rather than keep hand washing them but we stopped after the second wash. The product leaves a white powdery residue on the clear glass bottles and this is unacceptable. We used powder detergents before but none left such residue.

Works well, after I cleaned my washers filter.

The first load came out less than perfect. Turned out I just needed to clean my filter. Now it works great. Looking where to buy it again!

My dishes honestly have been coming out cleaner after switching to this brand! It also makes me feel good to know theres no chemicals lingering on the dishes i eat off of!

Cleans the dishes and does not Leave marks on them. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting cleaner dishes

I love the brand but this product isnt my favorite. Its a great value which is why I bought it but leaves grains or detergent on some dishes, mainly plastic, on the top rack. Wouldnt recommend this one but the pod version is amazing.

This dishwasher detergent is rated really well on environmental working group dot Org. I find that it is really great for the environment and it does a pretty decent job getting my dishes clean. Unfortunately sometimes it leaves some soap granules but I just rinse it off.

I have hyper-sensitive skin so using natural products is my first priority. Seventh Generations Free & Clear Dishwasher Detergent Powder is safe to use and does an excellent job of cleaning my dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
