Botanical Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner, 26 oz Spray Bottle

I find it interesting that people think this smells like bleach...I wonder how much "cleaning" these people have done...bleach makes me feel very sick...at first I did not like the scent of this product, but I quickly came to love it! I have been "cleaning" since I was 12 and I am now 49, and I only want to use this product...I haven't tried other 7th gen cleaning products, but I am going to for sure.

It is the worst smell! The best way I can decribe the smell is tar, mothballs,citrus and mint mixed. Never again will I buy this!

I am writing this because it never fails when I find a product that works or I think I can't live without it, inevitably it goes by the way side. Since I haven't seen a lot of marketing on this product, I have concern it could as well. I found this product by accident, not really a tree hugger but was told how amazing it cleans. My two worst cleaning nightmares are my hairspray build up on the vanity and the sticky residue left behind after wiping up dog urine in the hall (wood grain vinyl). I have tried everything on both and other messes, nothing works so amazing as this all purpose cleaner, cleans the first time with no residue. The smell does take some getting used to, but worth it when you see how good it cleans the first time.

I was looking for a more natural cleaner that I could use in the kitchen & around food prep surfaces. This one is fantastic, it cleans & disinfects without bleach or hash chemicals. I now use this throughout the house! A few have complained about the smell, It does have a particular thymeoil smell, which I like. But I could see it being a problem if you used the cleaner in a very small space without ventilation.

First off I will say that it does do its job wonderfully! It truly is a powerful cleaner, but, like others the smell isn't for me. I did read the label prior to purchase and knew this contained thyme extract. I did not know that I apparently can't stomach thyme well. I literally got sick after a few minutes & ended up opening all the windows in my kitchen, I froze my butt off ( it's winter in Wisconsin) but after about 20-30 minutes the smell had disappeared enough to close them. It's now been hours and if I sniff my counters it's still very noticeable. Oh well wont but again.

I saw it is made with thymol, so I expected a smell, but was a little thrown off by the label saying citrus lemongrass, so when I used it I was surprised by the strong smell, still less nauseating than bleach though. I like that I don't need to rinse everything after, as I have a toddler who grabs and touches and mouths everything, so knowing it's safe is definitely a bonus, squirt is a little off, it stopped on me a few times but if I give the bottle a light shake upside down it works again, definitely not for longer bputs of repeat spraying, also wish this was refillable vs having to buy a new bottle every time. All in all I'm quite happy with it, it worked well on my coffee table, kids play surfaces, and even my windows and sills where my sick son has been spending a lot of time playing, and my kitchen sparkles! Will definitely be getting another one after this ones gone, its a great all in one.

This cleans the best of any product I've ever used my house is so clean !! Will use always safe and effective the smell is different but not bad.

I've been looking for a product to clean glass without streaking and THIS IS IT! Not only does it disinfect surfaces, but it cleans glass better then ammonia or any other glass cleaner I've ever used. TRY IT! I spray the window then wipe it once with a paper towel, then turn over the paper towel and re-wipe the glass until dry. Towel then actually slides easy on glass like it was waxed (that's when you know it's clean).  If I do leave a streak, just wipe it with the damp paper towel and then a dry one and it's gone (only happens when I'm too much in a hurry). NO STREAKS!  And I think it smells just fine. Worked very well on my front picture window that up until I found this product I had to use a steam cleaner to limit the streaks. Now the Multi-surface cleaner does a better job and it repels dirt longer to keep the window cleaner longer.  My wife is the one who discovered this when she could never get the bathroom mirror clean until she tried this product on it.

I've become more conscious of the environment over the past few years and decided to start buying eco friendly cleaners. My wife hates the smell of this cleaner, so I bought her a different kind of cleaner (same brand though). \

Looking for cleaners safe for pets..  Love lemongrass but the smell is not that of Lemongrass...  But Love the no need to rinse.

First off, I like this company and have used their products in the past. For this product, although this does the job and cleans, my goodness the smell is not what you would think. It smells like lemongrass mixed with motor oil and intense thyme. This is a deal breaker for me.

The nozzle does not function properly and I am not able to use the product.

We love this product and use everywhere. The scent is intense, I'll admit. At first I thought it was of putting, but soon it became the glorious smell of clean. Most of all, I'm grateful there's no need to rinse counters or worry about getting it in your skin.

Purchased this product 3 weeks ago.  I think it works very well on my kitchen countertops.  It removes grease and oil which it why I tried this.  But the smell!!!  It's beyond bad.  Can't you find something that will make the smell better?

I love this cleaner/disinfectant. The only thing that I'd ask, is that it be sold in bigger jugs for refilling. Seems a shame for a company based on being good to/for the planet, to have to buy a new spay bottle every time.

I bought this product one week ago and the smell makes me vomit and does not feel that it is cleaning even though probably is. Please be more accurate with the info smell since he has nothing to do with lemon citrus.

The cleaning power is fine. The smell is HORRENDOUS. There is nothing “lemongrass” or “citrus” about it! All you can smell is the thymol, and it isn’t pleasant. Wish i could return it.

I use it for damp mopping tile and wood floors, use it with paper towels or sponge on other surfaces. I LIKE the smell. It smells clean but it also smells herbal. Don't find it overbearing at all and it seems safe for cats to be exposed to. I DO WISH YOU HAD GALLON BOTTLES. That's what I've been looking for online today and not finding. I go through a lot of it! Would much rather refill these spray bottles than keep buying new.

When I first bought this I wasn’t a huge fan of the smell, I think mainly because it doesnt smell like most other cleaners, but it’s grown on me and I actually like it now, it’s refreshing in a way. \
I am a huge fan of this cleaner. It’s the only product that I’ve found that is safe and disinfecting. Disinfecting is a HUGE deal to me, I work in a hospital, so who knows what germs I’m bringing home. \
I would recommend this to everyone!

This is the consumer version of a commercial product used to clean our basement after a toilet back up. Product is awesome and kills microbes as tested by disaster clean up crew. Yes, has a natural thymol smell. We're used to it. Does not stink or induce vomiting as noted by other users. My wife is a germ freak.  Wipes everything down. Used to use Clorox which i was never a fan of putting chemicals all over our baby toys and such. Give these guys some credit. All natural product, cleans great, disinfects  amazing and no added perfumes. Thank you for a great product.

Great product!!! Only product/brand I use. Sure the smell is pretty strong but fades and you get used to it. It sure beats the smell of bleach or harsh chemicals! Especially around my children. Please don’t change!

Kills germs without the harsh chemicals. Whats not to like. And I must be nuts after reading these other reviews because I loooove the smell! lol

I love how this product cleans. Doesn’t leave streaks and I like that it’s antibacterial. I really don’t like the smell of lemongrass though, and I wish there was another option. Lavender or eucalyptus would be great!

Please please please bring out a new scent(s). For such an outstanding company like yourself, I would perceive you would offer your customers a variety of scents for an item we would use on a daily basis. A few of my friends and myself all have the same opinion about this product, as well as other retailer comments have have seen in the past. I would dislike to use another company's brand.

I have super sensitive skin so I use it to spray and disinfect on my surfaces after I have wiped them clean so I won't touch it.

I bought this because it was the only disinfecting option at a natural foods store when I was visiting relatives who all had colds/flu. The smell was so bad that I will never use it again. I don't even feel comfortable donating it or giving it to someone else because the smell is so strong and offensive.

We just put our house on the market and wanted a nice smelling cleaner.  I just used this for first time and it is horrific.  Two hours later, I can still smell it after opening windows, lighting a candle and even taking out the trash that had the paper towels with the cleaner on them.  Even my husband came downstairs and asked what the horrible smell was.  We threw the cleaner away!!

I bought my first bottle of Seventh Generation cleaner which was the All Purpose Natural Cleaner and loved it. It had no fragrance. I ran out, and my store didn't have it so I bought the Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner although I don't like to use anti-bacterial cleaners. I started using it today and was overwhelmed by the awful smell of the Lemongrass Citrus Scent.

Bought today and it smells fine. I also open the windows each time I clean. Most important is that is disenfects and kills germs and non toxic...that's bottom line!

I was so excited to have found a pet friendly non toxic disenfectant for my home, but was disappointed in the smell. It's awful. Although I cannot test for myself it's disenfecting capabilities I do not doubt them.. However I will not buy this product again because it smells so bad during use and even after rinsing and wiping dry, I can still smell it. I hope they make an unscented or fresh scent because this is like cleaning with pepper spray.

This product doesn't actually clean anything! It wets the surface, but doesn't remove water spot or normal dirt, and for soap scum, it's an absolute joke. Following label directions doesn't get my bathroom clean, nor does hard scrubbing with a bristled brush. Will not be purchasing again, and probably won't even finish the bottle.
