    Speedy little printer!
    I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The Brother MFC-2710DW Monochrome Laser Printer is a pretty impressive little machine. Assembly and set up is extremely simple with their clear instructions.  The printer has a little bit of weight to it, but nothing one person couldn`t handle.  This product prints at an amazing speed (it claims approx 36ppm, which seems rather accurate), especially considering the price point!  I would have to say it`s best feature is the dual-sided printing for me, so as not to waste paper (and time)!  The 2 in 1 ID copy feature copies both sides of an ID on a single page! Where was that on my current machine when I needed it??!  Currently I use a color inkjet, so for me there are pluses and minuses to using this machine.  First, the speed on this machine blows my inkjet out of the water, however, I do miss not having the option on this machine for any color prints.  I`m honestly "stuck" as to whether or not I prefer the laser price-wise over the inkjet...while for a standard color inkjet you need several color (AND black) ink cartridges, you still need the drum on this laser every 12,000 pages and toner every 1200...and they cost a bit more than the ink for the inkjet.  I guess all-in-all you need to weigh speed (and what you print-if color is not at all an issue) versus color & slower speed (significantly slower) of inkjet.  One quick other cool feature..you can use this printer/scanner/copier/fax machine to scan directly to Dropbox!! Bonus!!Overall, I can see where speed and saving paper are a priority, this machine is it!  If you need color...maybe you need to keep looking...

    Great Machine All-In-One
    I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. As I unpackage the printer to assemble, I notice the printer is must lighter than it appears and easily took the place of my old printer. The instruction and CD Disc was easy to locate in the box and instruction was straightforward. It took approximately 10 minutes to put together which consist of putting the toner cartridge in the printer and loading the printer paper in the tray and installing the required software to my computer.Once the printer was set up and running, I printed out a 15-page ebook as my test run. The speed of the printer was surprisingly fast and must quieter than my last printer or any printer have owned. I didn`t even have to stand by the printer to catch the printed pages. I also notice it has automatic duplex printing, which is a great feature because it reduces the number of sheets needed. I also tested out the scanner and fax, which was pretty easy to use. The printer program has a simple layout and easy to navigate. This printer also has WIFI capability, however, I did find the process to set up the WIFI to be a little more challenging. It took me maybe four tries before getting it connected. I was not successful at printing from my iPhone with the Brother iPrint & Scan App.Overall, I really love this printer. It`s print out large documents at lightning speed and the setup was easy as well. I also notice that it only print in Black & White, which I find to be a great feature because that means I only need to replace 1 cartridge. We all know how it feels when you need to print out one document in black and white but you have no color ink so the printer will not print anything until you replace the color ink cartridge. I love the fact that I can do everything from home; fax, print and scan document onto my computer.

    Awesome printer!
    I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I am thoroughly impressed with my new home office printer. The set-up was straightforward, including the wireless connection. My copies printed quickly and look professional without smears or smudges. I like having a printer with multiple features (i.e., print, fax, scan), the ability to use multiple features simultaneously (e.g., print, scan) and printing double-sided copies. I appreciate not having to worry about buying or replacing parts anytime soon, and being able to add a sizable amount of paper to the tray. I found this printer easier to use than several laser printers I have utilized throughout the years. Although it was slightly larger than I expected, I was able to make room with re-configuring my desk and lift/move it with ease. I`m unable to comment on the fax feature because I no longer have a landline.

    Nice Printer
    I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. Only had this for a short time. Easy set up and nice compact size. Comes pretty much ready right out of the box. Just add the toner, paper and you`re done with the hardware. Disk included to set up the brother software. Prints and copies great. Haven`t faxed yet. The LED screen is small and doesn`t show much info without scrolling, but does it`s job.So far definitely give this a 4 out of 5.

    does not work at all
    well I paid for mine and I have many issues. It dis print at first but now it goes in off line. if I a finally get it on ready it wont print. error. tried everything

    Fair printer, wish I had bought the color laser
    Per a family member's recommendation, I bought this printer 4 months ago and it was not easy to set up when we opened the box. Somehow the printing is also slow, failed to connect wireless with devices and my kids are not happy campers with the product because of that. I have 4 children and they have a lot of school/university work/projects. They also wanted a color laser printer which was kind of my fault and I wish I can exchange this with Brother company for a laser color printer and pay some extra money if it is needed.\
    heard a lot about Brother Company's customer service and hope they will understand my feeling.

    ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT
    BOUGHT THIS PRINTER TO REPLACE A VERY OLD BROTHER PRINTER.  ACTUALLY WORKS FASTER AND BETTER THAN THE OLD MACHINE  WHICH WAS GREAT.  PRACTICALLY SET ITSELF UP!  GREAT PRINT QUALITY, FAST AND  QUIET.  NOW, WILL IT LAST AS LONG? ONLY TIME WILL TELL!

    2 sided printing
    I like the printer, because it allows me to print on both sides with me having to put each page back in the printer to print on the other side.

    Reliable and easy to set up!
    I broke free from inkjet printers and bought this one. Now I don't have to worry about having one color getting low and then having it stop the entire printer from working until I replace the cartridge.  No regrets!

    I would not recommend this product!
    After two uses I had to return the product for a replacement due to a paper feeder error. Already having paper feed issues with the replacement. On the positive side, it prints relatively fast, and the print quality is adequate, however,  it's bulky and loud.

    Lots of Bang for the Buck!
    My second Brother MFC.  The first lasted about 6 years.  This one works better that the old 2700.  Only drawback is that is is not friendly with third party toner suppliers without some tech work.

    Perfect!
    Set up was easy but you gotta read the entire instructions before getting started.  It’s a good printer for home use and works great with my Mac, just need to install for my MacBook Pro.  I haven’t tried to print with my iPhone yet but I’m sure it will work great too.  Good investment and the great price too.

    Very nice compact printer.
    Computer interface very intuitive. Setup was very straight forward. Print quality is very good. Scan features also very good. Only problem ( Window 10 issue ? ) is that printer drops off network and needs to be re-booted in order to reconnect.

    Excellent buy
    We have only had it hooked up for about one week now but it appears to be working fine.  We were surprised that you can no longer copy two-sided as on the Brother we have in Chicago.  This is disappointing as we use a lot more paper with this machine.  I would not consider that an improvement and would love to have the two-sided capability back.

    Hard to figure.
    Could not figure out how to scan to e-mail with printer controls. Finally got it with the iPrint & Scan app. Needs to be simpler. Print from phone and computer worked fine.

    Works great for the volume of printing I do!
    As a paralegal, I am working on three Federal drug cases.  In the short time I have had my Brother printer, I have printed close to 8,000 copies and have made about 1000 copies.  Not to mention scans.  It is great and it prints fast!

    Great black and white laser printer
    I have only owned this printer for about two months, but in that short time, I can say I love this printer.  Very fast mobile printing.  For those who have had problems with getting the wireless during setup, make sure you reset your router.  Fixed my issue.

    I am enjoying this new printer
    Never had a Wi-Fi printer before, so this is very nice for me. I have not had any other printers beside a Brother as these have come highly recommended by those in the know. So I have always followed suit

    Simple to set up, fast and easy to use
    I was impressed with how simple this was to set up. Numerous devices in the house and all reach this using wireless. The print quality is very good and it is very fast. I'm glad to be rid of the hassle of ink jets.

    Brother is Dependable
    The unit was easy to set up and has been working well. It is a little noisy, but I can live with that to have something that actually works with Windows 10. Samsung and HP pretty much said they were not going to update the software for their older models. Mine was less than a year old and hey, no drivers. I will stick with Brother from here on out until they say they won't update their drivers. Brother, be a good brother and invest in your customers. :-)

    I LOVE it, but then I knew I would!
    I've been using this printer for a little over a month and I love it. It was a bit of an upgrade from my last Brother workhorse. Now I have duplex printing! I read the instructions and installed it on my home network with no one's help. I am using all of the features, and it is amazing!

    Works Great with lots of features for the price
    Brother is really the only brand that we consider any more. The 2710dw is easy and fast to setup. It's economical to use and prints,faxes and scans really well. The wireless connection  works good and is dependable. The perfect little work horse for my home, and we have several in our offices that work flawlessly as well.

    Awesome
    I am a 100% Brothers fan.  I have tried others and always go to a Brother.  I had one for 8 years MFC and wore it completely out.  This one is the best thing ever. Clear prints, wireless and uses less ink than the old one.  I love my new MFC.  Thank you, Brother, keep up the good work.

    Good Product
    The printer has been reliable.  I print wirelessly  and use the scan to PC feature.  Simple to setup - follow instructions.\
    My one issue is the toner.  It will print about 700 pages and then you have to reorder. I also had to figure out how to dispose of the toner cartridge. The information is on the website. I'm taking min e to where I bought it. \
    Depending on where you buy toner, you can get a refund for your used cartridges.

    FrustratingId for Envelopes and Labels
    This product has worked well for my needs with the exception of the feeder performance.  No matter what I feed through the feeder, i.e. envelopes, labels, the print comes out crooked.

    Dumped the ink jet habit
    If your OK with black printing get off the ink jet addiction, its ready to go instantly, no head cleaning for 25 min and the like. Great job.

    Extremely reliable!
    I absolutely love this printer! I have had it a few months now. It is extremely reliable and easy to use. I use it primarily for printing -- a fair amount of it being double-sided. I did some research before buying this model and saw that it was rated very well. Glad that I purchased this model!

    Love the MFC-L2710DW
    I love this model.  It has all the reliability of my old printer as well as the scanner, printer, and fax features.  It is proving to be as great as my old printer that I used daily for more than 5 years.  I only changed to get more flexibility.

    Not as good as the old Brother printers
    We "upgraded" to a new Brother printer and I am wishing I had not given away our old machine to charity.  It is nearly impossible to get manually fed paper centered; the envelope printing is complicated, overall not nearly as good as our old one.

    I have one in each home
    An ideal machine if you want to have only one - I use it for printing, copying and scanning (don’t need fax capability). I have another (earlier model) in my main home. The wireless feature is very appreciated. Also, two sided printing, printing from multiple devices (laptop, iPad, and iPhone)

    Print quality issues
    All my printouts have a small recurring blotch (white area, no ink) on them.  Possibly this is from the drum as I have already gone through a couple of toner cartridges and the blotch remains.  The blotch occurs 3 or so times on an letter size print out.

    second Brother Laser multi function
    Use for printing and scanning and even sometimes fax (even in this day and age). Does everything flawlessly. Clean and fast print, easy scanning. I'm sure I don't use all of the features, but it does what I need. Caught a sale price at office supply store.

    Good Printer

    MFC L2710DW printer
    First printer with toner as I was tired of paying for ink.  This printer is B/W with fax and wireless. Prints quickly, quietly and ledgibly.  Wireless was easy set up.\
    I have not yet tried the fax feature. Good price when bought.  To date...love it!

    It's okay...just okay.
    I love the size of my printer and it's features with one exception and that's the fact that it doesn't print legal size paper through the paper tray.  You have to feed it manually through the legal slot...it's a rather clumsy way to make legal-sized copies.

    pretty good
    Love the wireless printing from all my devices- laptops, iPads and phones!  No more waiting for the desk top to boot up to print or fiddling with the "print server".  I can't quite figure out how to "scan to" a particular file on my computer.  Instructions are thin regarding this

    Fast and Friendly Print, Copy & Scan!

    Bad printing.
    There is a problem with the printer. It would leave a section throughout the middle of the print job. Changed the toner cartridge but still had the problem. Very disappointed.

    What was I thinking?
    Noisy, produces electrical interference, and the software package to use this machine defies logic! Once you get a printed product - not easy - it looks pretty good. Just as hard to produce a second printed product though! A real time waster to get a copied product emailed. And faxing - forgetaboutit!

    Love this Machine
    Great Product. My printer however does struggle to grab the paper when it gets low. It will say that I’m out of paper when I still have quite a bit in it. But as long as I keep it pretty full it works just fine.

    Good Value, Low Cost Printer
    This is a multi-function device that works well for the casual home user.  If your looking for a high quality device, you'll pay much more, but for the casual home user, you can't beat the price for the function and reliability - not to mention Brothers customer service, which for me was very responsive.

    Easy to set up
    This product was extremely easy to set up. The instructions were self explanatory and it was working rather quickly. The printing comes out clear and clean. I have yet to see if the ink lasts very long and how expensive it will be to get new refills. But so far am really pleased with its features and how it is working.

    Works great, needs a Bluetooth adaptor to be great
    Would like to use a bluethooth coneection, but can not find a matching plug style of a Blutooth adapter for this machine. If Brother makes a adapter plug that goes fron the old style usb to the normal usb that would be great.

    It is a very good printer.  The only problem I have is when it sits idle for a period of time I have to turn it off and re-start it.  Not a big problem but annoying.

    Will not stay connected to my wifi network!!
    Printing is fine when it works but the printer will not stay connected to our wifi network so it is worthless. Every time we want to print we have reconfigure the network.

    Dependable, reliable and efficient
    My previous laser was a Brother.  I had one and when my daughter went away to school, I gave her mine and bought a new one.  They both are still wroking 10 years later.  My new L2710DW seems to be just as good as those two.  I have no complaints.  I cannot comment on the FAx because I do not use that feature.  Overall, I am quite pleased.

    Does all it claims
    The printer/scanner/copier has done I've asked of it, quickly and efficiently.  The prints are clear, the scans (color even though the printer is only b/w) are good, and the copies are very legible.  The only problem seems to be with the connection to the computer -- occasionally they don't seem to speak.

    No Jams and Scanner and Copy function great too.
    So far no jams with single or double sided priontouts.  And both the scan function and copy function great for tax season.  Really like the overall operation.  One note of caution - it is a good deal noisier than the other printers I've owned.  But I'll take it!

    Great equipment!
    I love this machine. It is easy to use and best of all never breaks down. When for some reason it gets disconnected from the wi-fi, it is easy for me to get it back on and I am not tech savvy. We have moved a couple of times since we got it and it is very easy to get it back on. Just love it!

    Supplied by employer. Crisp and clear printing both text and pictures. No problems with paper jams. Fast printing, do not have to wait around for it to print. Happy with it although only does black and white.

    A determined printer, excellent scanner... haven't bothered with the Fax option (I know there are companies that still use facsimile, but it's rare).\

      Keep away from liquids and friable particulates and this machine will last ages.  Learn about reset/cheat codes and your toner will last, too.\
    \
      Programmable functions are great for 1- and 2-step scanning for regular use.  Very good resolution/clarity.\
    \
      DO NOT USE HEAVY CARD STOCK in the tray - you'll need to load from the front, which can be tedious on larger jobs, but it's better than frequent jamming with heavier paper.\
    \
      Other than that - a great unit for the price-point.

    Good product but.......
    I do think the printer is of good quality, but I do not like that you have to turn it off/on daily if not in use to get the printer to function.  If not an error message displays.

    Dependable full featured printer
    I have not had any problems at all with this printer; It is easy to use the many features this printer has.  Unlike my previous printer this one operates wireless flawlessly.  I have not had the printer very long(three to four months) but I have been very pleased with this printer and I would definitely buy it again.

    Excellent equipment
    Using this for scanning and printing for work for both my husband and I and for personal has been nothing but simple. So much better than the last piece of equipment we had.

    Has what I need and nothing I don't
    So far so good. It's too early to determine long term performance, but has functioned flawlessly up to now. This is my first laser printer. I don't print everyday and this printer works fine after a long period of inactivity. I will never go back to an ink jet.

    Fast and easy to set up
    The wireless feature is the best thing since sliced bread! My printer has to reside in my basement. Prior, I had to lug my computer downstairs to print. What a convenience!

    Never failed
    No paper jams.  Some say slow wake up. But I think it is faster than all the HP I have owned

    Great features
    After a few incorrect installations, I finally got the wireless going and now I am pleased with the MFC-L2710DW. Although I may not use the Fax function, the rest of the features work great when using the Brother Iprint app on smartphones, ipad and mac.

    Good Choice
    This printer and copier has worked well for our church mission. We can make prints and copies for our study center. Once I figured out that I needed the app to scan documents, that works well too. I am pleased.

    Easy setup and use
    I have been using inkjet printers for numerous years.  Since I print mostly black and white I decided to try a laser printer.  The product was recommended by a sales associate at an office supply store.  I'm extremely happy with the product.  It was easy to set up and could get started right away.  Hoping that you really get 3,000 copies from the cartridge.  The quality of the print is excellent.

    Good printer. Scanner not so much
    Easy set up but scanner is a bit wonky. To scan I have to turn the machine off and restart

    Basic printing, good, options, not sure...
    I don't do a lot of printing so my use is pretty basic.  Simply printing from the computer is easy and works well.  I've had a couple of issues, one I've solved, the other I can't get to work.  When copying or scanning, if you don't load your documents in perfectly, they will get pulled in crooked.  That's solved with careful loading.  My unsolved issue is scanning a 2-sided document.  The online instructions walks you through the steps and the screens that you "should" see.  Unfortunately I don't see all of the supposed screens, and as a result, I haven't been able to scan 2-sided documents.  Since I don't do this often, it's not a real concern,
