Major problem with Durcell batteries leaking
I have endless problems with these Duracell batteries leaking and destroying my appliances. The latest item to be ruined is my LED Laser T7 torch - see photos attached. I don't seem to have the same problem when I use other branded batteries Please advise

Beware! Can damaged or destroy your electronics!
I used to have no worries about using these batteries and leaving them in my valuable electronic devices. Not any more. I have had several expensive devices either damaged or destroyed by leaking Duracell Coppertop batteries. This is unacceptable, no matter HOW long they are in a device. I have so many devices that it is ridiculous to have to find every one and check and replace each battery as it expires. And it is very inconvenient to always have to install and remove batteries every time I use a device. This is unacceptable.

Battery Dies Before It's Time
I replaced the batteries in my Tascam DR-05 about a year ago. В The recorder is only about 2 years old and I don't use it very often. В I was going to use it yesterday and it wouldn't power up. В The batteries had started to leak. В The date on the batteries was March 2020. В I replaced the batteries with 2 new Duracell and it still won't work.

Worst AA battery in the world.
I have lost another Mag AA flashlight to leaking batteries! I will never purchase another duracell battery!!! These batteries have cost me over $100 in lost flashlights and clocks over the last 5 or so years! I have used cheap batteries and not had this problem, I am now going to start using Ni-Zn rechargeable batteries for these items.

Unopened Package, Not Expired, and Leaking!
We keep our batteries in a cool, dry storage space. Went to take out some AAAs today and saw that more than half of the batteries in our Duracell package (expiration date of March 2017), completely unopened and unused, were leaking. The other batteries (non-Duracell) in the storage space were still fine. Thankfully I did not ruin any devices with these leaking batteries!

dollar store batteries don't leak
stamped 2023 and 2025 long life, Don't believe the 10 year claim they leak and corrode in the package, I'd rather use a cheap battery in my devices that don't leak. Interesting the ones stamped 2015 and 2013 didn't leak. Taking them out of all my devices

Switched to Duracell, due to past experiences with the brand, and assuming minimal issues with leaking batteries (AAA size). Had the batteries less than 1-1/2 years, leaked in my wireless keyboard (lost function of a few keys, now need to replace); leaked in a Duracell flashlight which came supplied with the batteries, destroying the battery holder.

Leaked and ruined my flashlight.
I had no intention to write a review but came across this page looking for the claims page or address which seems to be hard to find. Anyway the Duracell batteries leaked and ruined my flashlight. Apparently this is common.

I have used duracell coppertop batteries for years. Last week I was surprised to come across ones that had leaked. Today I was checking a flashlight that I use for emergencies and it didn't work. When I looked inside the batteries were so corroded I had a hard time getting them out. When I did I found that their useful date was 2020. I will no longer be buying your batteries. In looking on line I find that a lot of people have had the same problem.

Duracell used to be the only brand we bought. In the past few years we have had major leakage issues with the AA and AAA. Sadly, not the quality they used to be. Will not be purchasing these again.

I am a photographer I have use Dura Cell Batteries for years, no problem. NOW in the last 12 months the dura cell batteries have leaked into almost every flash, every controller. Something has changed in the quality. I have used my last Duracell ...

duracell battery quick review
I owned Duracell batteries for many years since i was a kid and they work very good. but sometimes I face unexpected leakage that has damaged 2 flashlights so far hopefully that wont happen again. other then that have been pretty good batteries to use. Just keep a eye out for leaking batteries.

I purchased 4 new batteries and all 4 batteries were dead according to the Pulse Load Multi-Battery Tester. The batteries were installed in smoke alarms and failed after 24-hours. The number on the bottom of all 4 batteries is 7187 A967.

I used to always buy Duracell batteries, but in the last 3-4 years I have lost 3 expensive flash lights and 4 or 5 cheap flash lights and a awesome remote control for a stereo receiver that could control multiple equipment and is no longer available. They just leak and corrode. I don't usually leave reviews but I am disappointed in the quality of late.

Duracells are leakers - Do not buy!
In the last 5 years, I've had numerous Duracell AA and AAA batteries leak and damage the contacts of the devices they were in. \
\
All devices were in constant (clocks) or daily use when the leakage occurred. I used to buy Duracells because they never leaked (other brands often did) but that is no longer the case. \
\
Now I buy the cheap batteries and change them once a year whether they need it or not. I'm also buying Lithium-Ion batteries for high-value products that I can't afford to have damages.

2022 batteries already corroded in laptop cushion
Date 2022, here in 2018, they're already having horrid problems.\

Not having great success lately with Duracell Coppertop batteries.\
\
These totally messed up our laptop cushion (to drive the USB LED Light that can plug into the top of the cushion), used in air conditioned, well temperature controlled, house. So, I would not have expected this to happen in the least!\
\
I bought these specifically to use in things that won't have batteries changed in a hurry.

After less than 5 years, the AAA coppertops I purchased, leaked a white crystaline substance in their package. It was a package of 20 from which 4 cells had been removed. It's hard to tell exactly how many of the 16 batteries still in the package had leaked, but the crystals were everywhere in the package. The package was kept in a catch-all drawer in my kitchen. No extremes of temperature there.

Best batter ever... till they're not
time to change the batteries in the fire alarms. had some guaranteed 5 year in storage 9V's in my desk drawer. copyright on the back is from 2013. to the best of my knowledge 2018 minus 2013 = 5. neither battery in the dual pack worked. one had a melted bottom crystalized growth going on. no, i dont have the original sales receipt. 1 of 5 stars.

went to replace the C batteries in my Mag flashlight and discovered a leaker \
I can not even extract the battery from my light so the whole unit is ruined . last month my GPS was destroyed by Duracell before that was my camera

The difference between Duracell batteries vs cheap batteries is crazy. It seems like Duracell last 10x longer. The best example is my Xbox controllers. Cheap batteries will only last a week or two. Duracell will last 2-3 months.

I put these batteries in my living room TV remote. Other batteries would drain so fast and make the remote halfway work. These batteries are long lasting and the remote now works like new. I love them.

These batteries are great to have in remotes, kids toys and they work wonders for battery operated lights. I can’t believe how long they last in a kids toy that’s being played with non stop! No more fussy kids over dead batteries in there toys every other day.

I have lost several devices because of this batter
This happened in 2018 batteries were supposed to be good till then, for a canon sx160, 1 wii remote, and an apple mighty mouse all these devices, I use every once in a while. All three devices ruined because of battery leaks. Very frustrated, I just found a remote from a tv that broke 6 months ago, and batteries were leaking too!. Ive had unbranded batteries on remotes for more than a year and this has not happened. I will never buy Duracell again.

This brand is well known and I trust it for our electronics. We have a lot of items in the house which require AA’s and it’s always a good idea to have some spare batteries. We use the batteries in the tv remotes and in my kid’s toys, for example.

Duracell has done it again! The Coppertop battery is well worth it. We have many electronics in our house that take batteries. It seems like with most brands we are having to replace daily. Game console remotes, tv remotes, remote control cars.. you name it, we have it! These will be on the shopping list when we go out so we can get those long lasting batteries that everyone loves!

In my opinion you can never go wrong with Duracell Coppertop Batteries. It makes no sense to try to save money buying other batteries that clearly don't last as long. Coppertops are the only battery I will spend my money on

The BEST Batteries by Far!!
Only the Duracell batteries have been able to withstand the excessive use of all the electronic devices that are now used in our home! They literally last 10 times longer than any other battery we’ve tried. These are, bar none, the BEST batteries made!

I received the Duracell copper top batteries as a sample to try and I will say these are there any batteries that I will ever buy again because they are a very long lasting battery to my surprise and is such an excellent quality I have replaced all of my batteries with Duracell Coppertop and the batteries are not expensive they are a very reasonable price so I recommend it everyone try the Copper Top battery.

I use a lot of AA batteries for my kids toys and they drain out so quickly and we constantly keep changing batteries. But when I tried this Duracell coppertop battery I realized it’s really long lasting as advertised.\
I dint believe it at first but when I started using it in toys I noticed that it doesn’t drain like out batteries .\
\
I tried using it in my son’s fire truck which makes sounds and also moves so he uses it all day and this battery is just perfect . It does last well .\
It’s great for clocks, tv remote , remote controlled toys, or any household devices which needs AA. \
\
The quality is great and definitely the most trusted brand . I am loving it. Glad I tried this and I will go with Duracell further so that I need not spend money constantly changing batteries.

I got these for my son to use in his video game controller. It normally drain the batteries in a few days. So far we are going on 11 days and still going strong. By far the best batteries we have ever used. Will be using this brand from now on. I would highly recommend.

I received a sample of Duracell AA Copperyop Batteries to try out. The number one reason I buy Duracell batteries is that the battery life is amazing. Duracell Coppertop Battery
There are times when you need a battery already charged and ready to go in case all of your rechargeables are being used, or need charging (and you went through all of those pre charged rechargeable batteries). That's where these come in handy.

Amazingly long barrier batteries
The batteries worked very well for the Wii remote. They are still in there going strong. I've used several batteries before; but nothing compares to Duracell brand. They are so much better and lasts way longer. I'm not replacing it every few hours.

Really good for items that drain energy. Long lasting for computer games. Usually lower priced than other 2AA batteries. Appear to give brighter light in my flashlight. Good fitting batteries and makes good contact.

I received my Duracell double A battery. I was pleased to find that is has a 10 year warranty. This gives me piece of mind when I use the battery for a smoke alarm as well as something as simple as my child’s toy. I would recommend this battery for use of products needing a long lasting battery.

Nothing Can Stop the Copper Top!
This is a great battery, top of the line. 2 of these are currently sitting in my Xbox controller and I know they’ll last me thru many adventures. I love the colors, the sleekness, and knowing my batteries are Duracell!

We use these in our gaming controllers. My kids play a lot and we get weeks of use before having to change. Its definitely nice to not have to replace batteries every week. We only use duracell because of how long they last.

Best batteries on the market!
Duracell Coppertop batteries are the best batteries on the market! Not only do they have a shelf life of 10 years, they perform perfectly and for a lot longer than other batteries. I got so tired of having to replace the cheapos every week. So, I'm extremely happy I found the highest quality batteries out there....Duracell Coppertops!

I swear by these batteries. I normally use dollar batteries. I ended up switching one of my daughters toys out with the Duracell and wow , the lights seem brighter and the toys move really fast now. We are officially switching everything over.

These have lasted a long time in my son's video game controller. I figure that the best way to test the longevity of a battery is to put it to good, regular use. It has outlasted our prior brand of choice. We will be buying these again.

Long Lasting Battery life!
Duracell is and always will be our family battery brand. It's long lasting life is a blessing with all the electronics my daughter uses and household remotes ect. I also love that they offer two pack sizes for those moments when your on the run and just need a couple batteries and don't want to buy a huge pack.

Reliable brand and product to always have in the house. With our constant flow of electronics, nosiey toys and everyday items, we always need to have batteries on hand. The 10 year guarantee is great especially for my kid's toy-I know I won't have to replace the batteries after one week.

Long lasting performance and friendship :)
In my household we've had a very long good relationship with Duracell batteries; so many times we have tried giving store or other brands a chance in hopes that it's just the same but cheaper, but oh nooooo and we always end up going back for Duracell. We use them for so many things: wall clocks, toys, flashlights, beauty gadgets, remote controls, power tools, etc.. you name it. The batteries work and last for a very long time, I honestly don't keep count on the length of time it's been in a certain item but I do know that sometimes years have gone by and I look at a certain wall clock and realize that indeed I have not changed those batteries for the longest time and yet the clock keeps ticking. Highly recommend and always a good idea to have spares in your home, because they will be there when you need them the most.. trust me :)

Great batteries I use in my flashlight I use daily. I use in toys and remotes for the tv's. I love Duracell they last along time I've found more than others I've used. They are very strong batteries. I've never had a problem with them.

Last longer than any other
I only use this brand of batteries now. I’ve never had a problem with them. They last longer than any other brand that I’ve used in the past. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that asks. I think I have a stache in drawers all around my house, just so I never run out.

These are the best batteries out of any others! These are the only brand of battery that my family ever buys now! They do last longer than the others, to me anyway! And they are not a bad price either.

Great battery for all of our remotes. These batteries last a long time and even after prolonged unused time sitting in infrequently used items they don’t corrode. We also use these batteries for children’s toys that get used quite frequently and are occasionally left on after being played with and the batteries still last quite a long time. In another size, we use this brand of batteries for our smoke detectors and they last for years.

Didn’t realize when we bought our kids an X-Box that the controller batteries were going to have to be replaced so much. With that said, it’s great to have batteries that last such a long time. We’ve tried generic brand, but they don’t come close to Duracell. Grateful these batteries exist.

Great battery! I read every night before bed, I have a flashlight I set on my chest, well i tend to fall asleep leaving that light on all night. So I need a battery that's going to last and not die after 2 nights. That's why I love durracell copper top!! They last!

Duracell Brand - Coppertop Battery , is one of the best batteries I have tried, I love that it has a 10 year life , I don't have to worry about replacing as often as I would with other brands , , They do a better job when using these batteries , I always keep Duracell Brand - Coppertop Battery on hand , They are a little pricey but worth the price if you want a battery to do the job

I play a lot of video games and these are great for my Xbox controllers. I don't find myself changing out the batteries nearly as often as I used to when i used cheap batteries. Batteries can seem expensive when you buy them, but I buy Duracell because I know it's going to last.

I'm going to start off by saying, I love your product's! I have been using Duracell battery's for years. They last longer than most. Copper top Alkaline AA 2 pack work great on my husbands train set he keeps up all year and we hardly ever need to buy extra, but we still do, for other electronics in our house. I really like Duracell CopperTop Alkaline AA Batteries. I use these for my remotes thermostat, fire alarms etc because they are long lasting and I can trust them to last. They can last up to ten years in storage.

When you have kids obsessed with racing their remote control cars, you need to have a good battery on hand. We have tried other brands, but none last as long as Duracell. Longest lasting battery out there
These batteries are the longest lasting batteries there are I get these around the holidays to put in my kids toys my kids grew up on useing these . There is certain toys that need good batteries and Duracell works the best. I put them in my remote control and they last for ever. I have a lantern that I use to take my dog for a walk at night time and it runs through the batteries Duracell are the only batteries that last.

You can buy generic batteries at a great price, but you will go though them faster than you will a 8 pack of Duracell. I made that mistake buying a large pack from a popular online store, but I was changing the batteries out every week. Not with Duracell. These last longer - meaning you don't have to wrestle to open your remotes as often!

Works great for my daughter’s toys, especially her remote control car. We go for a long walk every evening and her little car goes too. Usually we’re replacing the batteries every 3 days, because of how long of a walk we have, but it’s been 6 days with this one set and the batteries are still going strong! Definitely sticking with duracell from now on.

These are great batteries and so far going strong. I used them in my remote which is used 24/7 between my husband and kids. I would say they are very comparable to other name brands. I did put the batteries in my daughters remote control car today and she played with it for a few hours without any battery issues. Once she was done they went right back in the remote.

I love these batteries! When I received these batteries I put them in my kids game controller. My kids usually go through batteries rather quickly but they have been using these a week with no problem. They have been wondering why they haven't had to change them. I have already purchased these for other electronics we have around the house. What I have learned by using Duracell copper top batteries is that they last longer than any other brand I have tried. What is neat about these batteries is that they have an expiration date on the batteries themselves. The ones I tried sa March 2028. They also come in many different sizes. I reccomend these to everyone.

I have several items that require aa batteries. We have used several name brand batteries along with generic batteries. I like Duracell. I feel that they last longer than other name brand batteries. I haven't had them leak or explode or any crazy issues with them :)These things are amazing! It's like someone figured out how to take electricity and put it in teeny, tiny cans! I just plug a couple of these into whatever needs power, and it just works.

I've been using Duracell batteries for years. I've tried so many brands but I keep coming back to these. They really are the best and longest lasting. Now that I have a baby, we need so many batteries. Every single thing he plays with requires batteries. I feel better knowing that this brand will last and I wont be scrambling to replace dead batteries every time. I also like to use them in clocks because they last and help keep the time. These batteries were bought for my sons remote control for his rc car. We got them cause the generic brand batteries were only lasting about a week. We got these Duracell brand copper top batteries in hopes of a longer lasting battery. With these we got about 3 days longer then the other batteries we were buying. So the price is not really worth it.

I used these batteries in a flashlight, they work well , they produced a very bright light. I have always used Duracell batteries. No need to waste your money on anything else. My 2 boys had a lot of toys that needed batteries to run, they would use them for hours at a time. I'm not sure about the 10 yr warranty though.

Finally at long lasting battery!
I was buying generic batteries for my kids earphones and felt like I was constantly replacing. Finally decided to get these Duracell Coppertop Batteries. Wow the brand does matter! I have been purchasing only Duracell batteries for years because I have seen a real difference in how long they last compared to other brands. Years ago I purchased store brand batteries in an attempt to save money but I found out the hard way that Duracell lasts about two to three times as long. In the long run, Duracell ends up saving me money which makes them so worth it. Duracell is the only brand I purchase now! I highly recommend!

Dependable for all my baby gear needs
I've been a fan of Duracell batteries forever. It's the only brand I trust to keep my electronics and baby gear going without having to replace batteries every other week. I will normally just buy cheap batteries. When I used Duracell for my clothes shaver, wow, what a difference. It ran much more efficient and the speed was really increased. I didn't think a battery really made much difference, but I was wrong. I will be using Duracell in the future

Duracell offers solid performance. Toys and gadgets run exactly as they should with Duracell. I can always tell a difference between no-name batteries that often come standard in toys and when I replace them with Duracell. The toy's lights are brighter, the music is played more clearly and at an even rate, and the toy moves quicker. I always buy Duracell because they're consistent.

I placed these batteries in the remote for my son’s Nintendo remote. The remote drains batteries frequently. These batteries have lived up to the long lasting they advertise. The remote is still going and doesn’t seem sluggish like it would normally when batteries start to drain.

My 9 yr old daughter goes through so many batteries.. I was spending so much on batteries and I got to the point I just started buying cheap batteries. The Duracell Coopertop Alkaline AA batteries work well for everyday use. I used these in my computer mouse and so far it has been lasting for a long time. At our house we use Duracell batteries because we have so many electronics and toys that use batteries we know without a doubt that we are saving money by buying Duracell as they last longer than any brand we have tried.What is the point in buying cheaper batteries she they are going to have to be replaced in weeks of getting, with Duracell we don't get weeks we get months of use. In our home Duracell is the trusted , tested and our go to brand 100%. Don't trust those cheap batteries for your emergency items like flashlights and radios be sure they work with Duracell.

The only batteries we buy
Duracell coppertop batteries are our go to batteries for all our battery powered electronics and devices. These batteries last an extremely long time in devices like game controllers which are used everyday in our home. We also have a small stockpile on hand during hurricane season because they are the only brand we trust to power our portable lanterns and flashlights because we know they don’t drain quickly and in situations where our power is out we need a quality product we can depend on. I don't believe the ten year claim at all but this was a long lasting and durable battery that I used for my tv remote. I like that they are a classic, rechargeable battery and Duracell is a brand I have long used and trust. My device operated well using the batteries and I haven't had any issues. The connective poles are well defined and the battery pulls a quick charge. I'm satisfied with this products performance and design.

I really love these batteries because they last so much longer than the cheaper ones. I put these in my daughter's toy and it seems to preform so much better. They fit in real nice and do not leak like other cheap batteries do.

I have been using Duracell batteries in my controller for my xbox and they last the longest when it comes to other batteries I've tried. I've also noticed that I don't get the leaking of battery acid that other batteries will drain if it's been in a item for a long period of time. You can't go wrong with these batteries.

We have 2 children at home, so we can never have enough batteries for their electronics. Since we constantly go through batteries, I was excited to try these instead of our usual store brand. These batteries last much longer and perform much better than other batteries we've tried. We will continue to purchase these batteries for our household items.

We have several battery operated products - we typically buy generic in bulk, but it seems we were always having to change them out. These work great and we can definitely tell a difference, even on immediate use (flashlights seem brighter), on longevity of life!

Duracell is a fantastic battery for all of my small child's toys! As you know, everything kid toy takes batteries and can easily add it. With Duracell, I find myself less frequently having to purchase new batteries because of how long they last!

As a mom, I feel like my kids are always asking for batteries for their toys. Duracell is a brand I can trust to keep these toys running for as long as possible. Lately my daughter has been into taking pictures and videos and Duracell has kept her camera running longer then anything else.

This battery is perfect for those toys that seem to always need batteries. I put this in my sons drone and this battery has kept on going and going. So far these have lasted almost a month which is long compared to others that last only two weeks. Perfect for all those items even household that go through batteries. Best long lasting battery on the market!

I used this on a light that needs batteries and it eats them up. This battery lasted longer than some other ones I was using. It usually eats up batteries in a week but with these it took about 2 weeks which is great!

Duracell Coppertop Batteries have been my favorite for many years. Nothing lasts longer or is more reliable than Duracell. I put these AA batteries in a digital camera that loves to drain batteries. After popping in the batteries, I could take 200+ pictures before the indicator on the camera showed a little dent. I would highly recommend to anyone who hates changing batteries constantly and hasn’t made the switch to rechargeable batteries.

Duracell just never fails me. I used these batteries for applicances which require power around the clock. In this case, yes, I used them on the wall clocks that I have in my home and my television remote. Months later, I find myself thinking, "When was the last time I change the batteries?" In my mind, this is the greatest problem to have when it comes to batteries. Try these; they'll be your new go-to.

Exactly what you would expect from the quality of the "copper top". I am so tired of having to replace the batteries in my kids toys so frequently. Having to unscrew the battery door every time is very annoying. It also powered my wireless mouse for much longer than other brands.

These are great batteries. These batteries are strong and long lasting. They work perfectly in my small flashlight that I keep bed side for emergencies. Duracell is definitely a brand that I trust. I will always have Duracell batteries in the battery backup drawer.

I used these battery in my camera for taking weekly photos of my new pups,they have held up very very well, I have tryed other that did not last one day.I would highly recommend Durcell Coppertop to everyone.

I have been using copper top batteries as long as I can remember. Duracell is always my first choice when I need to replace batteries because they last a really long time and are definitely worth the price. I use them in all of my remote controls and children’s toys and I don’t have to worry about changing them too often.

Always reliable, longest lasting
Been using Duracell for years and once again I am a happy customer. These batteries are consistently reliable and always last as long as advertised. Duracell is my battery of choice and again has proven it will remain my number one choice.

The Battery to Believe In!
This house only uses Duracell Coppertop batteries. They are hard-working, long-lasting, and reliable. With most "battery-required" products on the market today requiring numerous batteries due to the energy-zapping power they need, we know that we are getting the best performing battery and often at a less expensive price than the competition.

Pretty amazing battery life. I think they came at a perfect time cause i was needing new batteries for my game controller. Usually batteries dont last long while playing games but these have lasted longer than the rest.

These have been working great. A brand you can trust to provide power to all our battery operated devices: toys, clocks, flashlights...the list is endless. I find that Duracell last long and has solid strength. The package says "guaranteed for 10 years". Can't beat that!

Didn't last as long as I'd hoped.
I put these on one of Wii remotes and they were used exclusively for that Wii remote unfortunately it only lasted two weeks and we don't constantly play either. I would have hoped it would have lasted at least a month. However the remote works really well while the batteries did last. My son was able to finish and beat the game he was playing and start a new game.

Great battery for all of our high drain devices. I like that these batteries hold up for a great deal longer than any other battery we can buy. Great for toys and clocks and flashlights. If it needs a battery these are for you.

I love the idea of a 10 year battery, but all the batteries that are in any of my devices for more than 2 months always leak, every time. I realize i'm suppost to remove them for long storage, but the devices are just used very little all the time. I quit buying these and now buy EverReady and don't worry about leakage. Please fix this problem Duracell!! You have known about it for a long time.

I was wondering why my newer 9volt batteries were not lasting as long as the older ones did and noticed that they made in Malaysia and not in the USA. Not nearly as good as the old made in the USA ones were. and the packaging on most batteries say made from global parts in the USA.

Only Batteries that leak.
I have many brands of batteries, from generic to brand names, Northern tool batteries, Amazon Basics, Energizer, Duracell, etc. Over the last 2 or 3 years I have seen devices destroyed by Duracell batteries alone. None of the other brands have ever leaked, but Duracell batteries do all the time. I Won't buy Duracell any more. If you don't want to throw away your devices, buy some other brand.

Works great for the remote for my son’s drone. The previous batteries we used lasted maybe a day. We’ve had these in for 3 so far and they haven’t failed yet! I already purchased additional to swap out the batteries in the rest of his toys.

The batteries are terrific, but someone finally figured out a better packaging for the multipacks. You don't need to rip open the back or use a pair of scisssors to cut through the tough plastic. And it is easily recloseable, too. Thanks, Duracell.
