Leaking in sealed package before use.
My batteries are good until 2022 and they are leaking inside the sealed package. What's up with that?

I like duracell because they last a whole lot longer than other garbage batteries. One time, I used energizer batteries in my calculator and they died before I could finish my test. So, good on you duracell for sticking through till the end :)

Batteries Leaked - Ruined Flash
I had 4 Duracell Duralock batteries all leak and ruin a Nikon external camera flash. They were new batteries with a December 2022 date on them. Very disappointing. I've always trusted Duracell batteries and used them over cheaper alternatives to avoid damage to my important electronics.

AAA and AA alkaline batteries leak in every device
Your battery products quality has gone down in the last few years. They leak in every device I put them in and damage it. This one leaked in the refrigerator before I even used it with a year left on the expiration date. Very very upset with your products. Never buy them again

I have had 4 mag lites, 1 blood pressure monitor,\
and 1 pair of electronic muffs ruined by leaking coppertop batteries. What has happened to duracell quality ?

Bought a new pack of AAA batteries a few months ago. Opened today and found several leaking. So much for the Duralock. They are to have a 10-year leakage guarantee, but there is no info on the website. We'll see if anyone actually responds. I've gotten better service from cheapo-store-brands in any case. Not worth the extra price IMHO

Kids drill set we bought a year ago for my son. He just started using it 6 months ago. Good batteries that last 3 month. Son loves to run around with trigger pulled. The bad it stopped working this morning. I open it to replace the batteries, all three batteries have leaked.

I would not buy a Duracell battery again. They have been prone to leaking for the last several years. I only used Duracell for all my electronics but no more. it has ruined several LED flashlights, a GPS for my airplane, and now a SnapOn inspection camera. All of these have leaked before the use before dates stamped on the batteries. Lately I have had good results with Energizer batteries.

Durcell Quality Control is in decline!
Being a grandparent I have purchased countless Duracell AA and AAA batteries over the years mostly from Costco for the grand kids and their toys! In the last 5-6 years I've noticed that these batteries are having a leaking issue and it's getting worse. At first it was just one or two here and there and the problem was tolerable but lately I'm have to replace clock mechanisms, PC mouse, flashlights etc. on a more frequent basis. I checked a small sample of all the dead batteries I'm going to recycle and about 10%-15% of the ones I have are leaking. And looking at your own reviews from others it seems in the ball park. PLEASE FIX THIS OR I'LL BE FORCED TO GO BACK TO EVERYREADY!! THANKS!

My current toll of ruined devices due to leakage now stands at 1 AA Mag-lite flashlight, 2 Seiko AA battery-powered alarm clocks, 1 Brother AA-powered label maker, and 1 wall heating thermostat. I really can't recommend these batteries.

have always used and depended on duracell coppertops with good results. But something has changed. just bought my second pack of brand new batteries this month. both appeared ok when i put them in devices but within 24 hours leaked battery acid all over everything. no more duracell for me.

Quality decline -- leaky batteries
Here's the deal: Duracell is now being manufactured to the same inferior product standards as were the old Ray-O-Vacs -- the worst batteries of all time. I recently noticed a label on some Ray-O-Vacs that said "Now lasts as long as Duracell." That is NOT encouraging. So now we have Ray-O-Vacs in Duracell sheathing,

Unopened Package, Not Expired, and Leaking!
We keep our batteries in a cool, dry storage space. Went to take out some AAAs today and saw that more than half of the batteries in our Duracell package (expiration date of March 2017), completely unopened and unused, were leaking. The other batteries (non-Duracell) in the storage space were still fine. Thankfully I did not ruin any devices with these leaking batteries!

Purchased a small, portable label-maker. Used the alkaline batteries as specified. Programmed the unit, did a few practice labels and the "low battery" indicator was already on. The batteries did not last 90 minutes.

stamped 2023 and 2025 long life, Don't believe the 10 year claim they leak and corrode in the package, I'd rather use a cheap battery in my devices that don't leak. Interesting the ones stamped 2015 and 2013 didn't leak. Taking them out of all my devices

Can't Live Without; Ultra Dependable.
I have used Duracell's for as long as I can remember using batteries. They have never failed to offer ultra-long power. Most importantly, I had them "imported" to Peru by friends when I was a foreign correspondent so I could use the batteries in my professional recorder in order to tape interviews, gather sound and produce my reports. Peru sold them at exorbitant prices because of import taxes so everytime a friend visited from other countries, I had them stuff their luggage. The Duracells almost always cost more than other brands, sometimes substantially so, but they last much longer, and it's that dependability that is so crucial. I've used them in all sizes for items ranging from electronic remotes to battery-powered razors to old-style Walkman music players, and from flashlights to sometimes critical hurricane lanterns. I depended upon the latter items while living in Florida for many years because of the many storms that took out the power. I stocked up on many D's, in particular, for lanterns and lights. In those and other cases, when kept in uncommonly used devices, I've found the alkalines rarely crust over, although it has happened on occasion. I don't think they've ruined a single item in all my decades of professional and personal use. I've had to use and/or tried less-expensive batteries and there's a clear difference in strength, and therefore reliability. In rare cases in life, you find an almost-perfect item upon which to rely. To me, the alkaline Duracells are must-haves, and you can believe me when I say no one ever paid or even approached me to test these.

I've had to clean 4 Christmas candles that I stored last year because the batteries leaked badly. Apparently I can no longer leave Duracell batteries inside my electronic devices. On top of that, today, I had to throw away a little clock that I had for over 10 years that I had sitting on a shelve. It had 2 Duracell batteries inside. I immediately checked an emergency light that I have sitting in the corner for a just-in-case scenario and sure enough I found yet another battery leaking inside. Fortunately it did not too badly yet. I will NEVER purchase a Duracell product anymore unless I utterly have to. Duracell is not what it used to be anymore.

Sorry but Duracell was a name I trusted but I can't bring myself to buy another Duracell battery. I have unfortunately had them leak into so many products, damaging them and now I much take the time and post some reviews. Usually I just throw them out including the device on occasions. See the photo showing just one example of a battery that leaked. It was one of three installed the other test as still having a full charge. What can I say but I am utterly sick of it happening over.

Why pay premium for batteries that leak.
I used to believe their commercials, it was worth to pay premium for batteries that can work in harsh environments, that had to work when you need them most (that flashlight in your car when you are stranded in the middle of nowhere). The ones emergency personnel trust. Etc.\
Just found my 2 AA Maglite with 2 corroded batteries I can not even remove, then checked, and found:\
LED lamp with 4 AA corroded batteries\
Photography Flash unit with 4AA corroded batteries\
My spare car pack (4AA) 2 corroded.\
Sharp Home stereo remote 2AA corroded

I purchased a 2-pack 9V Duracell (with duralock) to replace a battery in a smoke detector approximately 2 months ago. These smoke detectors are also hard-wired so the battery is merely a "back-up". The thing is chirping already! I put the second battery from the pack in and it starting chirping almost immediately. Just went to the store and purchased an Energizer 9V which seems to have fixed the issue. I really expect about a year of use out of these 9V batteries in the smoke detectors...not 2 months.

In the past few years Duracell has gone down hill. They are not really worth the cost when you consider ruining your devices. Case in point a fairly new expensive flashlight, ruined. The batts have a 2022 date on them. Years ago t hen worked fine, but lately they've gone down hill.

Have found that these batteries do not last any where near as long as the printed date on them. Put the batteries in my CD player (not used very often) and within a few months they are dead, yet the date on then says 2025

duracell battery quick review
I owned Duracell batteries for many years since i was a kid and they work very good. but sometimes I face unexpected leakage that has damaged 2 flashlights so far hopefully that wont happen again. other then that have been pretty good batteries to use. Just keep a eye out for leaking batteries.

I used to always buy Duracell batteries, but in the last 3-4 years I have lost 3 expensive flash lights and 4 or 5 cheap flash lights and a awesome remote control for a stereo receiver that could control multiple equipment and is no longer available. They just leak and corrode. I don't usually leave reviews but I am disappointed in the quality of late.

I am so tired of these batteries that are left in the open package dying before I get the chance to use them. You used to be able to buy a multi pack and have the rest available. Every time I go back to the open package to get batteries to replace ones that have been used up in a device, the ones in the package are dead. This has happened so many times I am furious. The ones I just attempted to use say December 2025 and it is currently Dec 2017. The package says "Guaranteed for 10 years in storage." They are in a dry drawer at room temperature, in their original packaing with the plastic case snapped shut. So I just lost 7 batteries I paid for! this has happened numerous times and I am quite tired of it. The ones in the device last pretty good. But I want to be able to have ones on hand to use!

The Duracell AAA battery 16 pack that I bought does not last 1/4 as long as an energizer of equal value. I use them in my insulin pump and for whatever reason they just don"t last. # on package is 7216868101 date is march 2027.

Batteries go bad in storage!
I buy the bulk back of batteries at a box stored, however, I find that some go bad before I can use them even though the date to use them buy is 2023! The store will not do anything about it, but this happens often enough that the batteries are becoming expensive. I am going to research batteries for another brand.

Another sad story of Duracell AA & AAA batteries
2025 Duralock AA & AAA batteries are evidently made in China, seems they don't last even a year and corrode even when sitting in the container! (see pic. I am about to throw away all my last batch of 2025 Duracell batteries and Energizers...

I've used Duracell exclusively for many years without much issue. lately (last year or so) every device I put these in has been destroyed due to battery leakage; flashlights, voltage tester, label printer on and on. until the problem is fixed I'm using another brand, energizer perhaps

Almost ruined my camera flash.
I had four in my external Nikon external flash. Stored in my closet. They corroded and almost ruined my flash. Two of them were very hard to get out. In comparison I had another flash stored in the same place with generic batteries and they were fine.

Date 2022, here in 2018, they're already having horrid problems.\

Not having great success lately with Duracell Coppertop batteries.\
\
These totally messed up our laptop cushion (to drive the USB LED Light that can plug into the top of the cushion), used in air conditioned, well temperature controlled, house. So, I would not have expected this to happen in the least!\
\
I bought these specifically to use in things that won't have batteries changed in a hurry.

They Leak and Destroy Your Electronics
Beware, they leak. But to be fair, Energizer batteries also leak. So do the Kirkland Signature batteries from Costco. I go through a lot of batteries in kids' toys and also bicycle lights. I always buy batteries in bulk from Costco, and sometimes they leak while they are in the original package.

We've been having problems with duracell batteries in our electronic equipment. When the battery gets below 60%, there seems to be a drop in it's voltage that essentially makes it useless in sensitive electronics. For example, our infared trail cameras are unable to charge the photoeye, so they no longer take any nighttime photos, even though the battery still has 50% left on it; at that point, the cameras only work in the daylight hours. The same happened with our driveway alarms, they no longer function when the battery gets down to 50%. We have always bought duracell. Now, I see no point in buying a battery that is only fully functional in a simple flashlight. This seems to be a newer problem, we never had this happen until this year.

I have an old flashlight that is a display item the Duracell D cell batteries in it have a date on them of Jan.96 that makes them 23 years old !! Not leaking and it still shines bright .

I generally use Duracell for all my battery needs and am pleased with their performance. However the AAA with the 2023 date are corroding at a fast rate. I became aware of this when I went to replace the batteries in one of my flashlights and found them very corroded. When I got my spare batteries I found that the whole box had corroded! I then noticed that both the batteries in the flash light and the box were both 2023. I then checked every thing else that I used AAA's for and found they were all corroding to some degree. I did find one that was dated 2016 and while it was dead, there was no sign of corrosion. So it must just be a problem with the 2023's.

Best batter ever... till they're not
time to change the batteries in the fire alarms. had some guaranteed 5 year in storage 9V's in my desk drawer. copyright on the back is from 2013. to the best of my knowledge 2018 minus 2013 = 5. neither battery in the dual pack worked. one had a melted bottom crystalized growth going on. no, i dont have the original sales receipt. 1 of 5 stars.

I have always used Duracell batteries for my emergency flash lights. No longer. Two flashlights for long term emergency use, ruined by leaky Duracell batteries.

HAVE USED A LIFETIME and now shopping for another
Since a kid, my DAD swore by these (Hurricane dependable in New Orleans.) Now they are not as good. They rupture too easily in warm climates. Used to have on shelf IN LIGHT or whatever for YEARS w/o problems. Now after a year you can expect leaking and destroying your light. They have destroyed 2 "D" cell MAGlights (NOT CHEAP) and some "AA" & "AAA" lights and remote control units ... My brother still in NOLA is having same issue so this is not just a "HOT & DRY" problem! IT IS A REDUCED SHIELDING PROBLEM TO CUT PRODUCTION COSTS! FED UP & going to another product. Starting to explore Delco & Energizer and some recharge units.

Long lasting battery power

Definitely the best batteries
I’m constantly getting different batteries for my kids toys. The Duracell coppertop batteries are the best. They last much longer than the ones that supposedly keep on going. Not even! I only use Duracell.

This brand is well known and I trust it for our electronics. We have a lot of items in the house which require AA’s and it’s always a good idea to have some spare batteries. We use the batteries in the tv remotes and in my kid’s toys, for example.

These batteries worked well to power my daughter's new stuffed animal doctor toy. She loved that the toy is able to work for a long time, and they don't need to be changed frequently. She loved that no matter how long or how often she plays with the toy it still works!

I got these for my son to use in his video game controller. It normally drain the batteries in a few days. So far we are going on 11 days and still going strong. By far the best batteries we have ever used. Will be using this brand from now on. I would highly recommend.

No other for safety, reliability, and comfort
The most paramount reason I depend on Duracell Coppertop is for safety. I utilize Duracell in the flashlights I keep in my glove boxes of all my vehicles and in my flashlights at home. Having Duracell Coopertop batteries in them gives me the comfort and security of knowing that in a time of crisis (i.e., electricity outage) or even not a crisis (if I simply need to look in a dark spot and need a flashlight), I know that the reliability of Duracell Coppertop batteries will be there. I always have "spares" on hand in my emergency kit, and knowing that they have a 10 year guarantee is refreshing to know that I can store it and forget it. Wouldn't use any other battery
I learned a long time ago to use quality batteries in all of my technology products and appliances. Duracell is my battery of choice. I have used store brand and other name brand batteries and I always come right back to Duracell because of the quality and long-lasting experience. I put these two Duracell batteries in a TV remote control a few weeks ago because I noticed the remoted seemed slow at changing channels. I opened up the back of the remote and replaced the old batteries with new Duracell batteries and the remote is changing channel fast and working like a charm!

Absolutely love these batteries. Using a camera I blow through a ton of batteries so I usually grab the cheapest off brand the store carries. After I finally was pushed to by these batteries because they were out of the off brand I was extremely satisfied and I will NEVER use the cheap batteries again! These lasted 4 times longer!

I tend to find that toys or Christmas items in storage for more than 6 months can cause them to leak. Just remove them as this is typical behavior from other types too.

Long lasting performance and friendship :)
In my household we've had a very long good relationship with Duracell batteries; so many times we have tried giving store or other brands a chance in hopes that it's just the same but cheaper, but oh nooooo and we always end up going back for Duracell. We use them for so many things: wall clocks, toys, flashlights, beauty gadgets, remote controls, power tools, etc.. you name it. The batteries work and last for a very long time, I honestly don't keep count on the length of time it's been in a certain item but I do know that sometimes years have gone by and I look at a certain wall clock and realize that indeed I have not changed those batteries for the longest time and yet the clock keeps ticking. Highly recommend and always a good idea to have spares in your home, because they will be there when you need them the most.. trust me :)

These are the only Battery I used in my home they last a very long time they are excellent and good quality and they don't over heat to burn out I really enjoyed this product .the other battery died out very fast and I always have to switch everytime and it's very frustratingId so I switch to these products long-lasting .

Didn’t realize when we bought our kids an X-Box that the controller batteries were going to have to be replaced so much. With that said, it’s great to have batteries that last such a long time. We’ve tried generic brand, but they don’t come close to Duracell. Grateful these batteries exist.

Best batteries on the market!
My son is a gamer and his controller drains the off brand batteries within a day or two but Duracell Coppertop batteries seem to keep going and going. They are worth every dollar and from now on they will be the only battery brand I purchase.

The batteries that I got are AA, and they work phenomenally. I have tried several different battery brands and the Duracell is number one! I have used the same two batteries for about a week now with zero complaints. They have not seemed to loose any power and my electronics work just as if I put new batteries in them.

My TV's remote control needs a new battery every year or so and I just replaced them with this pair of Duracell batteries. Here's to hoping it will be two years until I need to replace! I have used Duracell in high-intensity equipment (mostly RC cars) and they last much longer than other brands.

I will not waste my money on any other brand. We have a lot of battery operated electrionics/devices in our household and we only use Duracell. They last the longest, especially in the kids toys. I also use them in our battery-operated under cabinet lighting in our kitchen, they last a long time.

My son prefers a wireless controller for gaming, and Duracell meets the demand everytime. They last substantially longer than other brands we've tried. When buying batteries you can't cut corners. If you buy cheaper ones, they're gonna die so fast that you end up spending more replacing them than if you'd invested in a better brand in the first place. I know I can rely on Duracell and happily recommend them to anyone.

Duracell Brand - Coppertop Battery , is one of the best batteries I have tried, I love that it has a 10 year life , I don't have to worry about replacing as often as I would with other brands , , They do a better job when using these batteries , I always keep Duracell Brand - Coppertop Battery on hand , They are a little pricey but worth the price if you want a battery to do the job

Right away I new that I wanted to use the Duracell Coppertop Batteries in our video game controller. We go through batteries so quickly in the controller because we usually use the cheaper batteries. The Duracell Coppertop Batteries last a whole lot longer that our previous batteries. They stay the same strength throughout their battery life. I will definitely be switching more of our batteries from the cheaper ones to these Duracell Batteries because they last longer.

Longest lasting battery out there
These batteries are the longest lasting batteries there are I get these around the holidays to put in my kids toys my kids grew up on useing these . There is certain toys that need good batteries and Duracell works the best. I put them in my remote control and they last for ever. I have a lantern that I use to take my dog for a walk at night time and it runs through the batteries Duracell are the only batteries that last.

Works great for my daughter’s toys, especially her remote control car. We go for a long walk every evening and her little car goes too. Usually we’re replacing the batteries every 3 days, because of how long of a walk we have, but it’s been 6 days with this one set and the batteries are still going strong! What do I say about batteries? They work! Of course. I usually use Duracell over other batteries if i have a choice. I dont know what it is or what it is called but i have noticed with mostly childrens toys but some other electronics the battery compartment part is very exact on measurements. Have you ever had a battery that is the right "size" (AA or AAA etc) and it still wobbles in the compartment? I have and it drives my kids crazy! Duracell batteries always fit and always last. Compared to other batteries Duracell also dont leak or get damaged as easily as others I have used with my kids toys either. Best batteries for us. And everyone needs batteries.

These are great batteries and so far going strong. I used them in my remote which is used 24/7 between my husband and kids. I would say they are very comparable to other name brands. I did put the batteries in my daughters remote control car today and she played with it for a few hours without any battery issues. Once she was done they went right back in the remote.

I've been using the Duracell brand Coppertop battery for all my household needs- anything from hand-held flashlights to gaming equipment. I've tried many other brands, and Duracell batteries last the longest. I've used them for electronic musical Christmas novelty toys, which only comes out once a year, and I've left those batteries inside all that time, and I have never encountered rust/leakage, unlike other brands. When I use Duracell, I don't have to replace them very often. Duracell is worth your money.

I have several items that require aa batteries. We have used several name brand batteries along with generic batteries. I like Duracell. I feel that they last longer than other name brand batteries. I haven't had them leak or explode or any crazy issues with them :)These things are amazing! It's like someone figured out how to take electricity and put it in teeny, tiny cans! I just plug a couple of these into whatever needs power, and it just works.

Duracell batteries are my go brand as they have demonstrated long life over years. From TV remotes, to kids toys, and emergency flashlights, I've had nothing but good experiences with these batteries. In fact, there were some batteries that I purchased a few years ago that got pushed into the back of a drawer that worked like a charm demonstratingId Duracell's great shelf life as well. Moreover, emergency flashlights that I have tucked away in rooms that barely get used still turn on after years of having the batteries installed. I live in a household where electronics are used a lot. With that being said, we go through a lot of batteries. My husband uses the most batteries with our xbox one controllers, as a gamer family we need a long lasting battery and after using this battery for five straight days, we checked the battery life on our controllers and it was still full. These are the types of long lasting batteries we need to keep the gaming going.

My family has always been super brand loyal to Coppertops! I have been using them forever. I don’t know about you but I’m not going to put lesser batteries that leak and ruin my expensive electronics. I have NEVER had an issue with Duracell Coppertops. Morning only do they last forever but they have never leaked. Highly recommend Duracell.

I buy the copper top batteries for multiple reasons, for toys, games, remote controls, and everyday household things. I know when I purchase these batteries that I don’t not have to worry about anything. They last in all of our high use product and provides power for months. My kids go through tons of AA batteries while playing games on their gaming system. The controllers take 2 AA batteries each! Batteries can get extermely expensive so I’m always looking for the best deal; price & quality. I am extremely impressed with the long lasting life of these batteries, will be purchasing again & definitely recommend. Received in exchange for an honest review.

Duracell is a trusted brand for a reason. Their batteries always work well and are long-lasting! One feature that other batteries have which would be nice to have is when you can press it and it will show you how much life is left however, that is not necessary.

I have been a user of Dura-cell batteries for year. When I saw the ten year battery I couldn’t help but give it a try. I put them in my grandkids nerf gun. They are functioning well. It is to early to tell how long they will last. To date I am completely satisfied.

Duracell is our go to batteries for the little ones toys. We have this great sound machine for traveling, it is a life saver, Duracell is the only battery I trusted to not die on us within a week. With the toys now and days batteries are always in need. We always have the long lasting, trusted Duracell on hand and in the diaper bag.

The AAs I received worked as expected. I like the idea of a 10 year battery but I got a two pack. Nothing worse than heading to the bin of batteries only to find out they expired last year. I got these for a Roku remote and they work fine.

Duracell has great brand recognition. I think it's always a good idea to have a couple of extra AA batteries on hand. From what I've read about Duracell batteries compared to some other brands, they seem to have a longer lifespan and have better quality than most other brands. I also read the company just recently acquired Rayovac batteries. It'll be interesting to see what they do with a product that used to be a competitor.

This works really well for my kids toys which seem to drain batteries really quickly especially as my kids forget to turn them off. We’ve never had a bad experience with Duracell. They are sturdy and reliable

Only the longest-lasting batteries!

Always been a fan of Duracell
I have always been a fan of Duracell batteries and it's been even more important to have Duracell AA batters on hand at all times once I became a dad. Now that my daughter is 6, she has more and more things that require AA batteries. It's really hard to say how long I should expect batteries to last, but we are a week into usage and my daughters remote control car is still going strong with EXTENSIVE daily use! We are a fan and it's certainly helpful when the batteries still have juice to keep my daughter and her friends having fun!

Duracell has always been a really good brand batteries. Many other times I have used them they lasted a good while. When it comes to batteries, you can never have enough especially if you have kids. Almost every toy requires batteries and I usually go with Duracell. I don't have any complaints.

Duracell batteries are the best batteries on the market. I am consistently using batteries for lanterns, remotes, toys, diffusers, etc etc. I love these batteries for both outdoor and indoor use. These are great to use in areas that are prone to moisture because I have found they do not rust or erode as often as another brand would do. These batteries are definitely made to last and they have a long life span. I really love how Duracell backs their products up with excellent guarantees. This shows me that they know they have a great product. I recommend these to everyone and everyone has the same opinion as I do. I highly, highly recommend, Duracell brand will not disappoint!

These batteries were bought for my sons remote control for his rc car. We got them cause the generic brand batteries were only lasting about a week. We got these Duracell brand copper top batteries in hopes of a longer lasting battery. With these we got about 3 days longer then the other batteries we were buying. So the price is not really worth it.

The Duracell AA copper top batteries work very well! I recently used them in my kids WII remote. I am usually changing out the batteries every 3-4 days but with the Duracell, I’m on day 6 and still working! So awesome! They are easy to read the label and easy to figure out how to use. Great brand and I will continue to use Duracell batteries for all my household devices and remotes!

Duracell coppertop batteries are the top brand in my opinion. They always last a long time which is nice because I don't have to switch out batteries constantly. Duracell offers solid performance. Toys and gadgets run exactly as they should with Duracell. I can always tell a difference between no-name batteries that often come standard in toys and when I replace them with Duracell. The toy's lights are brighter, the music is played more clearly and at an even rate, and the toy moves quicker. I always buy Duracell because they're consistent.

Very Excited for these batteries they last a good long time on my kids highly draining devices. I normal have to change in a few days on my sons Xbox controller but these been in there going on 6 days . I will definitely be getting more of these . My 9 yr old daughter goes through so many batteries.. I was spending so much on batteries and I got to the point I just started buying cheap batteries. The problem is they didn't last longer then a week. These Duracell batteries have lasted longer and my pocketbook is definitely happy. They're long lasting batteries.

Nothing beats a copper top Duracell! They are consistently the longest lasting batteries and there's never a problem with corrosion. I especially prefer them in my Bluetooth speakers and the kids toys. Always so reliable!

Best Battery on the Market
I have to admit, from time to time I get cheap and buy store brand or even worse /shudder dollar store batteries. \
I always end up with a dead toy on Christmas, or a dead flashlight, or worse.. an exploded corroded mess. \
Duracell coppertops are the best on the market and they last. They don't bust, explode, or otherwise cause this exhausted mother to have more to deal with. \
I used this package of duracells in a stand of battery powered twinkling lights in my sons room and he left them on 24/7. It's been 10 days and they're still going.

All of my “in emergency” devices, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, flashlights, emergency radios, etc., are all equipped with Duracell batteries. The reason is simple: I need them to work when I need them! I have been let down by other batteries before. I feel that Duracell has the longest lasting batteries

We use these in my husbands gaming system remotes to my sons battery powered toys and everything in between (tv remotes, flashlights, and other household items.) The DURACELL Coppertop Battery is the only ones to use. I have tried others, and they don't last nearly as long as these do. I use them for everything, from games, my fragrance holders that require batteries, my smoke alarms in my home, and all my flashlights. This battery last for a really long time and that is such a plus, and overall only a few pennies more then others, while saving money, since you don't need to buy them as often.

These Duracell alkaline batteries last way longer than the heavy duty batteries. I highly recommend them for any toy that drains batteries fast. I was replacing batteries after just a few days in a remote control car and the alkaline batteries have been in well over a week and the car is still going fast.

I don't believe the ten year claim at all but this was a long lasting and durable battery that I used for my tv remote. I like that they are a classic, rechargeable battery and Duracell is a brand I have long used and trust. My device operated well using the batteries and I haven't had any issues. The connective poles are well defined and the battery pulls a quick charge. I'm satisfied with this products performance and design.

Duracell batteries have been around forever! We use this brand all the time for our gadgets (and our kiddie's toys); they're sold in practically all local stores. Affordable & long lasting batteries. I can't simply find anything negative to say about Duracell batteries. They're sold in various volts- from hearing aids to making the portable boombox blast sweet music in the park. so you can't go wrong with Duracells

At first I put the Duracell CopperTop Battery in my daughter’s Barbie Vanity light. I went to change my tv and my batteries were dead. So I put my new Duracell batteries in my tv remote. I know for a fact they will last a very long time. They are Guaranteed for 10 years.

I've been a fan of Duracell for many years, because my parents used them also. So when I tried these batteries I already knew what to expect. I replaced the store brand batteries in my remote with the Duracell batteries and it was a big improvement. Unlike the store brand, the Duracell batteries last a long time and I find that the performance is better. With other batteries you notice the product slowing down really quick, but with these I can honestly say they last a pretty long.

I used the AA batteries in my general use flashlight. The batteries work well; the light was bright while in use. The batteries have performed like new for the past couple weeks. The packaging is a bit boring; it lacks the necessary information to determine if the batteries are right for the type of product they will be used in. The brand is a well known and trusted brand. I will be purchasing in the future and I have already recommended it to friends and family.

Duracells AAA Coppertop batteries are the best batteries that you can get. I have put mine in my motion sensor light in my garage. The light stays on for 10 minutes after you have left its detection range. So, it stays on for a considerable time everyday. Its been over a month now and the batteries are still going strong! I'm very happy with their quality and will always buy Duracell for all my battery purposes.

These are the best bang for your buck
We have been Duracell customers for as long as I've been buying batteries, and these continue to be the best batteries to own. We go through so many, with having 4 kids worth of toys, and these continue to be the longest lasting kind. They provide the most playtime before we have to replace them, which means everything when you have several littles constantly trying to play with something.

Great value! Last so long!!
Duracell Copper top batteries are fantastic! I’ve got 2 kids and there are always batteries that need to be changed. I can depend on Duracell to last the longest in all of our toys and devices. My son has a camping lantern he leaves on all night, every night and I can depend on these batteries to last by far the longest (and I’ve tried a LOT of different brands!).

This battery is perfect for those toys that seem to always need batteries. I put this in my sons drone and this battery has kept on going and going. So far these have lasted almost a month which is long compared to others that last only two weeks. Perfect for all those items even household that go through batteries. I used this on a light that needs batteries and it eats them up. This battery lasted longer than some other ones I was using. It usually eats up batteries in a week but with these it took about 2 weeks which is great!

Duracell just never fails me. I used these batteries for applicances which require power around the clock. In this case, yes, I used them on the wall clocks that I have in my home and my television remote. Months later, I find myself thinking, "When was the last time I change the batteries?" In my mind, this is the greatest problem to have when it comes to batteries. Try these; they'll be your new go-to.

Exactly what you would expect from the quality of the "copper top". I am so tired of having to replace the batteries in my kids toys so frequently. Having to unscrew the battery door every time is very annoying. It also powered my wireless mouse for much longer than other brands.

I have always been a fan of Duracell batteries. They have worked well for me over the years, and again, these do not disappoint. As usual, the Duracell Coppertop batteries are great. I am confident whenever I use the batteries, that they will last for a very long time. My son is using them in his game controller, and they have lasted longer than other batteries he has previously used. I would indeed recommend these.

The Duracell Coppertop Batteries are the BEST batteries hands down! I absolutely LOVE the fact they guarantee 10 years of life. I put these batteries in my remote control and they work amazing for me. I HATE to change batteries when they go dead, so the Duracell Coppertop Batteries are exactly what I need since they have a long life! The best battery for our X-Box controllers! It seemed I was constantly buying batteries for my sons controllers even though they are always turned off when not in use and game time is limited other brands just did not last half as long as the Duracell batteries have.

I am an avid user of Duracell batteries and have been for years. They just tend to last a whole lot longer than other batteries on the market. I use them in all of my gadgets from my tv remote control to my laptop mouse. I don't have to worry about them dieing in the middle of me trying to use them. I have been using copper top batteries as long as I can remember. Duracell is always my first choice when I need to replace batteries because they last a really long time and are definitely worth the price. Still going strong after a month of non-stop use
I have been using the Duracell AA battery in my daughter's night light/light show for the past month and I am extremely impressed with them. She tends to use the light even during the daytime because she likes the stars on her ceiling so it is pretty much non-stop "on the clock" and they are still going strong, the lights are just as bright as when we put the batteries in and show no signs of stopping. I have always used the other brand but I can tell you from experience that Duracell has won the race and we will be using them solely from now on.

Going strong after a few weeks
So far these batteries are amazing. They have been in our Xbox controller for almost a month now. The batteries are still going strong with no sign of dying anytime soon. It is wonderful to not have to switch out batteries weekly. So far I have no complaints.

I put these batteries in my Fire TV remote and it's been over a month and I haven't had to replace them!! That's quite an accomplishment, since I have to normally replace them every few weeks. I can't figure out why it goes through so many batteries but I won't be using anything other than Duracell Coppertop, from now on!

Duracell Coppertop AA Batteries are the best, especially for high drain products. We had to change batteries daily in the gaming controllers using an off brand, these have lasted weeks so far! They’re high quality and a great value. Other brands didn’t hold up for drone flying either, these do! We’ll keep these stocked for everyday devices as well as for emergency’s.

My son has LED's above his bed that he sleeps with every night. They're battery powered, and I can always count on him to come to me every other week to ask me for new batteries. Usually I go to the junk drawer and grab him a random mish-mosh of batteries, but this last time I figured why not give him the good stuff? It's been over a month and he still hasn't asked me for new ones. That's a win in my book.

Battery Leaking although device never used
I bought 40 batteries and some lasted fine; all with the use by date: 2025. Now some are failing and 4 starting to leak, ruining a fan during a heat wave! The fan had been stored in plastic and never used, so the QC issue is with Duracell. That poor performance is unacceptable for such a well-known established company. I expected a far better product.

Long-Lasting! And you don't have to rush to open!
These batteries are amazing! And the package life is really long so it's nice to not have to worry about it/know they will be good when I use them. This is the only type of battery I will buy from now on for remotes, etc. I can throw them in a storage box and have them when needed. Super recommend. This is my second time using these and have waited 6 mos sometimes before opening!!

I love the idea of a 10 year battery, but all the batteries that are in any of my devices for more than 2 months always leak, every time. I realize i'm suppost to remove them for long storage, but the devices are just used very little all the time. I quit buying these and now buy EverReady and don't worry about leakage. Please fix this problem Duracell!! You have known about it for a long time.

Only Batteries that leak.
I have many brands of batteries, from generic to brand names, Northern tool batteries, Amazon Basics, Energizer, Duracell, etc. Over the last 2 or 3 years I have seen devices destroyed by Duracell batteries alone. None of the other brands have ever leaked, but Duracell batteries do all the time. I Won't buy Duracell any more. If you don't want to throw away your devices, buy some other brand.

The batteries are terrific, but someone finally figured out a better packaging for the multipacks. You don't need to rip open the back or use a pair of scisssors to cut through the tough plastic. And it is easily recloseable, too. Thanks, Duracell.

PSA: No Need to store in fridge.
Some of the Duracell CopperTop AA batteries I have were exhibiting very short life and I called Duracell Customer Service to inquire about their 10-Year Life Guarantee. They told me that batteries with no Mercury don't need to be stored in the fridge. Most batteries after 1999 don't user Mercury. I immediately got all my batteries out of the fridge. PSA. FYI.
