This product is rubbish! The whole unit is too flimsey - it would blow over if you coughed too hard - and the earpiece is very temperamental.

Have used Plantronic headsets in call center environment for years. The CS50 was comfortable and you'd forget you had it on. Now have the CS540 and hate the earpiece. Doesn't fit tightly, falls out, very uncomfortable. None of my team are happy!! Go back to the old design!!

This product needs to be rethought, especially the ear bud. The sound quality is great as is the base. The ear bud does not fit snugly in the ear and just about every time I take it off the rubber ear bud flips off. Where do I get additional rubber ear buds if I lose them. It seems that the designer got the technical part right on this (it is high quality sound) but missed the mark on the ergonomics.

We bought two different models and this in ear model WON OUT at our business. Really like the quality and customers are no longer complaining about not being able to hear us talk. Nice product.

Good sound, hate the mute button
My employer just got me a new headset (CS530). The sound is very good. I absolutely hate the mute though. It takes too long for the mute to engage, hurts your ear since you have to press and hold down the volume button to engage mute and repeat that in order to disengage the mute. Stupid design. Also, I cannot answer my particular phone (Meridian) by pressing the answer button on the headset. I have to press the answer button on the headset AND the phone base. I do love the cordless design and seems to have great range.

I've only had the headset about 2 weeks so not much time for anything to go wrong. But for this non-techie, it was easy to assemble and use. Sound is great, no feedback, and everyone I talk to can't tell the difference between the headset and phone.
All in all I would recommend it.

Bought this by the recommendation of our telephone tech person. I have been very happy with the sound quality, and our clients say they cannot tell that I am using a headset. The range covers our entire office (and even out to my car in the parking lot).

I wore out my old headset ear piece (CS70). Unfortunately the new CS500 is plastic and not as comfortable or easy to get on like the former silicone one. I do like the sleek design and it still works great with my old lifter kit. The sound quality has improved and there is less interference with my desk phone and computer located nearby.

This product is hard to fit in your ear and people can't hear me on the other line. You would think with being so expensive this would be an amazing head set.

Volume button shorts out audio
I've had this for about a year. Worked great - good sound, battery (for my purposes). Then, about 3 months ago the mute button stopped working correctly - when I press it in, it mutes and un-mutes immediately - didn't do that before - I have to press it 3 or 4 times for it to work properly. Also, any time I want to adjust the volume now, it shorts out the audio/mic for about 5-10 seconds, then comes back on. Not ideal when in the middle of a conference call - especially when hosting it.

Awesome Clarity no other like it
I purchased this Plantronics in December (replaced my old one that was no longer made nor could be refurbished), while I thought my old one was great, I am very impressed with this new product and have recommended it to may of my constituents to utilize in their office.

Great Product, this is my second one.
My first one lasted 9 years, but I guess this one was a lemon. I have requested a replacement since it's only been 2 months since I purchased but I highly recommend this product. It's just one of those things.

Sleek design, not the easiest to put on
I bought this as a replacement for an older over ear wireless headset. It is a design improvement - sleek, elegant. However, the ear piece takes a bit of work to get used to and is not always the most comfortable (the plastic could have been molded a bit better). I do like it a lot though and it functions extremely well.

Excellent clarity and reception.
I needed to replace an older headset. I bought this Plantronics headset and I'm very happy with it. Excellent range of signal and clarity of voice. Highly recommended.

Ear piece is terrible.. CS540
The only way I can tolerate this is to use it with the accompanying headset piece - and that is not very comfortable. The one I had a year ago was awesome, why did they move the battery to the boom and make the inner ear tube flexible?? And the ear silicone is not round, my ear does not like the design, very cumbersome. This one is terrible and will not hang onto my ear, are these seriously 300+?? Think there is a reason it has an average of 3.3 stars...

Works okay but the charge fails after 3 hours
The headset works okay, but it fails to keep a charge after 3 hours, I hear a beeping sound and then it just clearly cuts off the caller without more warning. Then I need to plug the headset into the base and let it charge back up again. And again, the headset can only hold up for 3 hours and it fails again, and again. Not a buy if you are someone like me who is clearly on the phone all the time.

I bought this item to use where I volunteer. We have several volunteers who answer the phone and need to take down information from callers. Having this ear device has made it easier to use both hands and not have to cradle the phone on our shoulders, which is not healthy. The calls come loud and clear and I like being able to move around and not be hindered by a cord.

I've had this for a month and just love it. The way it connects to the phone makes it easier for my co-worker to use the hand set more comfortably w/out pulling the phone. The head set is light weight and fits well over my head and does not hurt my ear.

Usual exceptional sound quality
Had this a little over a year and it has the usual superb technology I have come to expect from Plantronics. Only down side is the design engineers either fell asleep at the wheel or just didn't care when it came to the over the ear headpiece. Loose fitting and fairly painful to wear for ANY length of time, let alone 7 or 8 hours.

Headset lasted 3 years of near-daily use
Although we had to tape it together after year one of use, the headset functioned for three years with no problems. It is sadly now dead, but three years isn't too bad!
