In our business it is great to have our hands free while we are on the phone with our customers. We often need to get up to obtain a loan file, or to walk across the office to speak with another colleague while we are on the line. Our new Plantronics CS540's work great for our team, and make us more efficient in our work. We loved the CS line and wanted to stay with Plantronics because it is a local company, and my perception is that Plantronics is the industry standard. I receive catalogs in the mail from other companies, but I don't perceive the same quality that I recurrently have had with Plantronics.

Not the quality of a CS55
While the headset design is great, the quality is not what I've seen in previous Plantronics products. I've experienced problems with audio (feedback) and use of the mute switch causing a loss of headset audio.

I do not like this product. The previous headset was much more comfortable and easy to settle into your ear. The ear piece does not hold tight to ear and the ear piece won't "seat" into ear canal. Very easy to knock off. Bring the old ear piece back...

Great product CS530 Model
The CS530 Model is a great product. The range is amazing with very good clarity. People on the other end of the call can hear me clearly and I can hear them very well. The over the ear headset is comfortable and lightweight. The microphone is a little long but it really isn't an issue. The mute function is much improved over older models (you can do it easily with one hand).

Have used Plantronic headsets in call center environment for years. The CS50 was comfortable and you'd forget you had it on. Now have the CS540 and hate the earpiece. Doesn't fit tightly, falls out, very uncomfortable. None of my team are happy!! Go back to the old design!!

Over Priced and under performance
Had this about 10-12 hours and battery life is terrible. They advertise 7 hours talk time and it is more like an hour or two at best.

the companypurchased this platronics for faster sale time and mobility, it works great, the microphone is not working right now but their stellar customer service agents were able to help me resolve it fast

I have been using since November. Great sound quality. Comfortable. Love the option of the over-the-head or the over-the ear. As well it is completely reversible for using in either ear.

Not so happy with the comfort makes my ear sore, and I would like to switch ears, go from left to right, am not able to.

I bought the product back in October of last year. Suddenly the earpiece died on it, Plantronics stands behind their product, and now in May they are still covering it under warranty!

Hardware is good. Functionality is five tumbs down. I will never buy them if I knew that I need to remove the desk phone handset from its base so I can use the Platronics Headset CS520. I am going to take it like a champ, but I will never ever recomend this product.

I've only had the headset about 2 weeks so not much time for anything to go wrong. But for this non-techie, it was easy to assemble and use. Sound is great, no feedback, and everyone I talk to can't tell the difference between the headset and phone.
All in all I would recommend it.

I am not sure what all the complaints about the earpiece. The earpiece is the best design to date. I love how snug it sits as well as the lightweight and battery life. This is far superior to any other unit thus far that my company has ordered. We just ordered 50 units for all other Departments.

Our old headsets needed replaced, and choose this one. We've had them about 2 weeks and love them. Volume on ear piece is great, clear reception on both ends. Would recomment

Volume button shorts out audio
I've had this for about a year. Worked great - good sound, battery (for my purposes). Then, about 3 months ago the mute button stopped working correctly - when I press it in, it mutes and un-mutes immediately - didn't do that before - I have to press it 3 or 4 times for it to work properly. Also, any time I want to adjust the volume now, it shorts out the audio/mic for about 5-10 seconds, then comes back on. Not ideal when in the middle of a conference call - especially when hosting it.

It wears out quickly. Don't expect that headset to stay tight. It's my second and the first had a broken receiver. The sound quality is great, but I've had it less than a year and the battery dies before I get done with my work day. Very disappointed

Great company response to replace my headset.
I needed my ear piece replace because it appears the permanent battery had worn out. The company was very quick to replace the unit after i mailed in the headset. I needed the headset for my business so it was important that it was replaced quickly and the company delivered.

I have had this product less than a week & the longest it will hold a call is maybe 5 minutes even with a full battery charge. It just hangs up on people mid sentence.

Awesome Clarity no other like it
I purchased this Plantronics in December (replaced my old one that was no longer made nor could be refurbished), while I thought my old one was great, I am very impressed with this new product and have recommended it to may of my constituents to utilize in their office.

Free from neck and hand pain...finally!!
I bought this product about two weeks ago and now I enjoy answering the phone at work. This product relieves pain in my neck and hand that was caused from being on the phone all day. So thankful for an answer to my pain!

Works okay but the charge fails after 3 hours
The headset works okay, but it fails to keep a charge after 3 hours, I hear a beeping sound and then it just clearly cuts off the caller without more warning. Then I need to plug the headset into the base and let it charge back up again. And again, the headset can only hold up for 3 hours and it fails again, and again. Not a buy if you are someone like me who is clearly on the phone all the time.

Ease of installation and use
We bought 2 of these units and it has been the best investment. It give our receptions to ease of moving around our busy office and not having to be tied to their desk all day

our office has worn/used Plantronic wireless head sets for years. I just purchased 5 - of the 540 units and everyone one of us have been complaining how the plastic ear holder is so uncomfortable. The last wireless was flexable and very comfortable.

This is my secon plantronics headset and love it. Very easy to setup and volume adjustment is very nice. Love this headset! It helps me and other users to conduct business and talk at the same time, while needing to use both hands.

Works FINE until you receive another phone call
I work in a high call volume office and when our previous headset fell apart, we ordered this upgraded version. It works fine, there's clarity in the phone call UNTIL there's another phone call then it makes an AWFUL sound like when you get a microphone next to a speaker. It hurts my ear and loses connection with my clients.

We purchased this product to replace an older version, it has excellent range in our giant metal building, the design is visually appealing and sound quality is very good. We will be purchasing a few more now that we know we like it.

THIS HEADSET HAS GOOD SOUND. I GET GOOD RANGE WALKING AROUND OUR OFFICE STILL BEING ABLE TO ANSWER CALLS.\
THE ONLY THING THAT I DON'T CARE FOR IS THE MAGNETIC BOTTOM THAT ATTACHES IT TO THE CHARGING BASE STICKS TO MY EARRINGS WHICH FEEL ANNOYING.

We just bought our twelfth Plantronics headset and we only buy Plantronics at my company because of the reliability experienced over the years.\
We bought our first CS540. Excellent quality. I think the earpiece pivot feature is a bit stiff and sometimes the entire headband wants to move when pivoting the earpiece..Otherwise, it's great.

Usual exceptional sound quality
Had this a little over a year and it has the usual superb technology I have come to expect from Plantronics. Only down side is the design engineers either fell asleep at the wheel or just didn't care when it came to the over the ear headpiece. Loose fitting and fairly painful to wear for ANY length of time, let alone 7 or 8 hours.
