Quality control issues with this product
The countersunk hole in the bottom of the base to accommodate the flathead screw for the upright pole is cut too deep, allowing too much of the screw shoulder to protrude out the top of the base, making it impossible to completely tighten the upright pole to the base. We assembled four of these, and all were the same. Poles were wobbly and not very stable.
Also, the first couple of spring plunger screw hole threads were filled with paint, and we had to run a tap through the back side to clean out the threads.
A couple of sloppy quality control errors that caused a lot of grief in assembly.
