Keeps foldabkes inside notebooks
My students utilize the double tape inside their subject notebooks. When given a handout or create a foldable they place the tape on the backside and place it in their notebook. This way they have everything they need to study in one place.

I love this for dry mounting projects. It holds stronger than glue sticks and never warps paper. This is my favorite for card crafting.
I find myself using it a bit too much sometimes considering the cost.
Worst problems: Keeping it away from hair and dust bunnies has been the worst issue when using this product. I've solved this by keeping it stored in an old PMA box. Perhaps the dispenser itself could use some more packaging with a protective cardboard box surrounding it. Which I could then open up and take it out only when I need to use it and of course put it back.

the double sided tape is easy to use and makes the job go faster than the peel off kind. the stickiness holds well even in high humidity.
it is easily removed from walls and metal poles, and doesn't leave any residue on wood paneling. i use it in decoratingId the church hall. i would recommend the double sided tape for temporary wall decor as well as paper crafts.
i wish it came in larger rolls. i use a lot.

I love Scotch permanent double sided tape! It is so convenient and easy to use. I use it for all of my scrapbooking pages and card making, as well. I also use it with my children for many different crafts. It is quicker and neater than glue, plus you don't have to worry about someone leaving the lid open and it drying out!

Quick, Easy, and Permanent
I love the simplicity of the normal tape dispenser. No complicated runner that I have to hold in a certain direction. Grab the tape. Pull out as much as I need. Zip it off and put it on my project. It doesn't get any easier than this!

Better than glue. I make my own cards using an iris folding pattern which requires layers and layers of double sided stickyness. Glue can be messy and stick to more than the paper. Using double sided tape keeps the stickyness right where I need it. I also use it when making crafts with the grandchildren, no mess, instant results and don't have to wait for it to dry. I use Scotch brand double sided tape for everything, including holding my curtains in just the right place! Great product!

The uses for double stick tape are endless!
I purchased double stick tape months ago. I actually can't remember what the initial reason was.
But since then, it's amazing how many different uses I've found for this type of tape!
You know when you want to stick something, such as your child's artwork, or maybe a note, to the fridge? You reach for the regular tape and make a loop in order to stick the back of the paper onto whatever surface.
Well, with double stick tape, you don't need loops!
And for a quick fix for a Halloween costume, this tape makes a perfect, instant hem to any fabric.
I will definitely keep a supply of double stick tape on hand, well, always!

I use to use glue sticks to mount my pictures to put them in my scrapbook. Glue sticks are great for kids projects A little to messy for photos. Than I bought double side tape from a scrapbooking company that sells supplies though demo parties in your home .It cost way to much money. Than I found Scotch double sided tape at a local store. I have been using it ever since that was many years ago. And about dozen scrapbooks later. I still love how easy and quick you can put together a scrapbook using the right product. I now use the photo safe glue from Scotch, works great for gluing on small letters and not messy. It dries fast and clear.

Scotch Permanent Double Sided tape is great for crafts when working with toddlers and early elementary children. Small ones tend to use a lot of glue which creates a mess and then you have the drying time. Once tape is applied the craft is ready for the children to use and they're happy the don't have to wait.

A Scrapper's best friend!
I use Scotch Double Sided tape for all of my scrapbooking pages! It's easy to find at any local store (unlike many "specialty" adhesive tapes marketed just for scrapbooking), so I never have to worry about running out. I can use just the right amount, not a predetermined strip size- no waste, just right, every time! And it's photo-safe, so none of my memories are ever damaged. Scotch Double Sided Tape is the only adhesive I use when I scrapbook! ...And don't even get me started on the million other uses!!

This is a scrap bookers dream, excellent for photo and paper mounting because of its neat appearance and acid free compound.

The brand that almost sticks every time.
Scotch double sided tape is a magneficient tape for scrap-booking, card-making (if there is no stress on the object). I found that the stick power was better than all other brands out on the market. It is the only brand that I purchase! I also like it because it is a bit wider than most double-sided tapes, which is very helpful when you are doing signs. So thank you for thinking about how some of us might need that wider tape. Sincerely, J.S.

Only double sided tape I buy!
I print church bulletins, double-stick tape graphics onto it and then make copies for Sunday services. I also enjoy paper crafting/card making.
This tape is best for my graphics and also for photo placement into old albums.
It is important to remember that on regular white copy paper THIS IS NOT RE-POSITIONAL. That is what makes it perfect for my bulletins.

TERRIBLE!!!!!! Don't waste your money!!!!
If I could I would rate this less than 1 star!!! I bought this for a project I had limited time to complete ... I too have wasted hours trying to peel the protective layer off. It will not come off, and I am not talking at the beginning of the roll...I am talking even several pieces later I can peel this stuff! AND to make it even harder they have a clear cover paper over clear tape ... you can't even see what you are trying to peel apart! This is awful! I need to go to the store again and buy something else! And I thought Scotch was a GOOD BRAND!!!!

No, I am not taping my cats! Whenever someone decides a piece of furniture is a scratching post, a nice strip of double sided tape convinces them otherwise. The tape can be removed when the cat learns it is not fun to scratch there.
I do wish it came in wide sizes. Packing tape width.

I have read so many reviews on the same complaint I have but I do not see any solutions from 3M. This tape is next to impossible to use since the back of the tape will not peel off. I have used other similar product and had no problem peeling the back off to make it double sided. 3M, you should rename this tape double cross and take it off the market.

FrustratingId and poorly designed packaging, but, ok
Like many other reviews here I had a difficult time figuring out how to get the tape to work. There was text printed in 4 different languages, but, the directions were not clear and it was not immediately obvious that this tape does not have a liner unlike other brands. The should put the directions on the back and make it very obvious that the first couple inches of tape are unusable. Perhaps using the familiar red scotch pull tab as the first few inches instead of the weird text printed tape would be a better solution. \
\
Also, this tape isn't as sticky as I was hoping it would be.

I totally agree with a review posted below about the poor quality directions on the packaging. I have always used Scotch products but this one I would not recommend. nothing wrong with this tape, just the user of it, pull the part of the tape at the beginning with the words on it all the way out, and snip it off, after that you're smooth sailing. All the tape is automatically double-sided, not peeling needed whatsoever:)

I planned to create a picture collage in a row along my bedroom wall. I purchased this tape assuming it would do the job. Boy, was I wrong? Great tape, poor Use instructions.
I too fought the perfectly clear tape not realizing that I had to discard the clear leader portion. The leader tape is there to keep dirt and grime from attaching to the tape while its on the store shelf. New instructions along with lightly cross-hatched leader will go a long way toward fixing this product. The 2-sided tape itself is excellent!

REALLY upset, but I may be at fault.
I purchased this product about six months ago. I also purchased my home and completely upgraded all appliances. This is a high-dollar home.\
\
I adorned my stainless steel fridge with articles, cartoons, and family pictures. My problem occurred when I attempted to relocate/redistribute the menagerie and discovered that the double-sided tape not only ruined some of my family artifacts, it also nearly ruined the refridgerator.\
\
I attempted to razor-scrape, cleanse using all suggested antidotes to no avail . . . And that is just one area; the rest of the refridgerator is marred with tape that I am reluctant to attempt to remove given the tragic ending to the one area that i did attempt to remove.\
\
How do I effectively remove these “war wounds” from the face of my expensive refridgerator without damaging it? Please help!

Great tape.......instructions, not so much.
I have used other, automobile double sided tape, but this stuff stumped me. With auto type you stick one side, peel off the liner and use. Had to come to the web site and another review to find out the secret. The sticky stuff comes after the leader.

Thank goodness these reviews are here.
I also struggled for ages with the leader section of tape thinking it was a peel-off double sided tape. There are instructions printed on the leader but the tape is narrow and the English version had been cut off the edge. I thought the other languages were probably just saying about peeling the backing off. \
\
So thank goodness everyone was here and I found out what to do. \
\
It will be interesting to see how fluffy it gets with the uppermost sticky side exposed when you're not using it for a while.

Great Tape - Poor Instructions
I agree with the other comments. Had to come to the internet to find how to use it. Wasn't until i read the other comments at this site did I understand what to do. Why doesn't 3M write that simple instruction on the box or on the protective tape 'unroll first six inches before tape activates' or something like that.

Works fine-once you figure out how to get it going
Had to get on the internet for the understandable instructions. Once you read the comments and responses the words one the tape make sense. Also, because of the printing distance, the English was half cut off. \
Unwind and discard the 1st 8 inches! The protective layer is NOT meant to be separated from the tape, but is from the roll
