Double-Sided Permanent Tape in Handheld Dispenser, 1" Core, 0.5" x 37.5 ft, Clear

I love to make greeting cards for holidays, special occasions, and just to say hello to faraway family and friends. Scotch brand Double Sided Tape forms a permanent bond between layers of paper, making it easy for me to complete the project without wasting time waiting for glue to dry or worrying about parts falling off. It works for every paper project I undertake- an excellent product!!

I make lots for greeting cards for church, family and friends and I use a lot of double sided tape. It is a great adhesive and I would highly recommend it for this purpose.

I do a lot with pictures in photo albums. I used to use Scoth Magic Tape to tape the corners of my pictures until I found Scotch Brand Products makes Scotch Double-Sided Tape. I was in heaven!! Now my photos in my photo albums look more professional. The double-sided tape in easy to use.

I love this stuff. I use it for scrap booking all the time. I like the convenience of being able to choose any length I need.

I could not live without Scotch permanent double sided tape. I use it a few times a week whether it is for work or home. I keep finding new projects or dilemmas that have only been possible because of Scotch's great double sided tape!

I make all of my own greeting cards. There are several different methods I use for adhesives, but the one I use most is the Scotch Double Sided Tape. I have 2 dispensers next to me at all times - one has the large core, with the 3/4" width and the other has the standard core with 1/2" tape. I use it all the time and LOVE it. Thanks for a marvelous product. It's neat and easy to use. I had originally thought I'd be using a lot of stick glue, but that gets really messy - so - Scotch Double Sided Tape is my adhesive of choice.

I love to use this tape for my paper crafting. Sticks and holds great. I sometimes cut a strip in half, so it lasts longer, and even the small strips hold great.

I do alot of rubber stamping/cardmaking and scrapbooking and have tried numerous types of double sided tape, but Scotch's double sided tape is above all my favorite! It allows me to move pictures or other objects to another area if I need to before it becomes permanent. It also adheres my papers and pictures better than any other tape I've used.

I love the simplicity of the normal tape dispenser. No complicated runner that I have to hold in a certain direction. Grab the tape. Pull out as much as I need. Zip it off and put it on my project. It doesn't get any easier than this!

Every holiday season, I make sure to buy double stick tape to make more magic happen.
With 2 sticky sides, packages look like they've wrapped themselves and decorations hang as if by themselves. Best of all, it stays magical the whole season long and there's hardly a problem to remove it in January!

This double sided tape is wonderful for scrapebooking, around the house quick fixes, repairing loose hems, as well as working on woodworking projects.

When I need to use the scroll saw and try to put patterns down on the wood, the double sided tape works wonders. It holds the pattern firmly in place and makes it so much easier to scroll .

It also works when you're in a hurry and find that the hem is coming out of your pant legs (or skirt/blouse). It works until you have time to fix it permanently.

Scotch double sided tape is the BEST! I use it both in my classroom and home. In the classroom, it is so easy to keep things where I want them to stay. This tape is also easy to get a piece from the dispenser. I don't have to have both hands free to do that with the Scotch double sided tape. Better than glue. I make my own cards using an iris folding pattern which requires layers and layers of double sided stickyness. Glue can be messy and stick to more than the paper. Using double sided tape keeps the stickyness right where I need it. I also use it when making crafts with the grandchildren, no mess, instant results and don't have to wait for it to dry. I use Scotch brand double sided tape for everything, including holding my curtains in just the right place! Great product!

I purchased double stick tape months ago. I actually can't remember what the initial reason was.
But since then, it's amazing how many different uses I've found for this type of tape!

When I found this product, I could not wait to try it. In my basement, I have to cover the windows with plastic every year, and the tape I have is just to small, and this tape is just the perfect size. and it is so very easy to use. I just take what I need, and that is about it. thanks for such a great idea, in a larger size.

I don't know what I wold do if I could not buy the double sided tape. I use it in a lot of different ways.

I used this product to re-attach the foam covers that protect my 15 mth olds twins from the coffee table edges. So far, it has worked very well! They pulled the foam right off when we used the (non Scotch) tape that came with it. It has been close to a month now, and the coffee table is still protected... thanks Scotch!!

This is perfect for crafting and decoratingId. It clings easily to decorative leaves for a pretty fall window. Then when it's time to switch modes it removes so easily! Perfect for cut-out snow flakes from the kids and/or grandkids. Won't hurt their adorable work and lets me proudly display it!

Double sided tape is great for photos. No stiking to the front of the photo and easy to use in photo albums.

Double sided tape is also the best for picture boards at special occations.

Scotch double sided tape is a magneficient tape for scrap-booking, card-making (if there is no stress on the object). I found that the stick power was better than all other brands out on the market. It is the only brand that I purchase! I also like it because it is a bit wider than most double-sided tapes, which is very helpful when you are doing signs. I print church bulletins, double-stick tape graphics onto it and then make copies for Sunday services. I also enjoy paper crafting/card making.
This tape is best for my graphics and also for photo placement into old albums.
It is important to remember that on regular white copy paper THIS IS NOT RE-POSITIONAL. That is what makes it perfect for my bulletins.

I was looking forward to using the permanent double sided tape in my scrapbook project, but the protective wrap on the tape did not come apart from the tape... rendering the double-sided tape pointless.

I have been using the double sided tape for my home craft business of making greeting cards for several years. I love it. My cards do not fall apart ever. BUT this last year I have had nearly every roll of tape have a flaw in it that seperates in a very sharp distinct line leaving me to go back and try to find where it quit. It is annoying and time consuming to have the tape cut off where you do not want it cut off.
What is the problem? Its not just one roll it been that way for last 6 months or more. Sometimes it splits in ragged edges, but most of time its a definite staight cut across the width of the tape. What causes this?
Other than this I love this product.

Love, love, love this tape. We have used it on many school projects for a neat, clean look on posters. It holds well and has many uses around the house

Tape purchased 12/1/15 is unacceptable for the following reasons:
1. the frame of the dispenser is flexible and bends when tarring the tape and the teeth of the cutter are insufficiently sharp or from a design flaw will not permit the tape.to be cut.
2. The top protective layer cannot be pealed away from the tape once the tape has been put in the place where it is to be used.

This experience reminds me of the problems that are common with inexpensive tapes. This is not my past experience with Scotch Brand products.

I like the double-sided aspect of the tape -- it really comes in handy for my project, but the smell is strong and bad. I will use it anyway, but please engineer a double-sided tape that doesn't stink. Thanks

After 20 freakin' minutes, I still cannot get the liner off. There are NO directions on how to do so.

This product stinks.

I bought it sometime ago in April and loved it instantly. It worked very well on my sons photo book which I was making for his 5th birthday I like that the tape comes with a dispenser which was easy to use and over all I was very pleased with the product.

This product did not work for me.  I know that there is a leader to unroll first.   It did not separate.   Wasted my money.  I will not buy this again.

This tape is expensive and I bought some and spent hours trying to peel the protective cover. Even tried the fold the corner trick. Nothing works.

I bought this tape to wrap Christmas presents. Personally this is undoubtedly  the worst two sided tape I have ever tried to use. It totally sucks.

Like many other reviews here I had a difficult time figuring out how to get the tape to work. There was text printed in 4 different languages, but, the directions were not clear and it was not immediately obvious that this tape does not have a liner unlike other brands. The should put the directions on the back and make it very obvious that the first couple inches of tape are unusable. Perhaps using the familiar red scotch pull tab as the first few inches instead of the weird text printed tape would be a better solution. \

Also, this tape isn't as sticky as I was hoping it would be.

I totally agree with a review posted below about the poor quality directions on the packaging. I have always used Scotch products but this one I would not recommend. After reading some other posts, I realized that the first several inches are unusable and then you get to the double sided stickey tape.

I needed several long pieces to secure something but as I was dispensing it, the tape just separated from the roll.  It's as if there are just long pieces of this tape rolled around the same spool.  I couldn't find the "end" of it so I had to cut through a few layers just so I could get a grip on it and, once I did, I thought everything would work fine.  But, on the next piece I was unspooling, it did the same thing after dispensing about 12 inches.  Needless to say, I wasn't going to waste any more of my time trying to restart the roll so I thought I'd search the web to see if anyone had a similar problem with the product.  There appears to be a significant amount of tape remaining on the spool but I just don't want to do battle with it again.  I'd just like Scotch to explain why this roll is having this problem.  I've never had a problem like this with any other type of roll tape in my life.

Please put instructions on the packaging.  I spent days trying to get the part with the writing to separate from the tape....even googled it and went on YouTube to see what was making it so difficult.  Boy do I feel dumb!

1) The first 3 or 4 inches of this tape are NOT double-sided! \

2) Therefore you must pull out the first 3 or 4 inches of the tape (until the printed words on the tape are no longer appearing) and tear this part off the roll and DISCARD!\
\
3) Touch both sides of  the tape to make sure both sides feel sticky.\
\
4) Use tape freely, there is no need to remove any protective liner, the tape will now be double sided each time you pull it from the roll.

Add me to the legion of customers who have wasted so much time trying to figure out how this tape works!  If I had not read the reviews of other frustrated customers, I was prepared to mail the two sided tape back to 3M.  You tell us how to refill the dispenser but not how to get it started.  You can do better 3M!

Once I got on your website to find out that the first part of the roll was not double sided, I loved the product...but that was after about a half hour of struggling to separate what I thought was a liner from the tape. I'd rather know how to use the tape than refill the dispenser, which is pretty simple. Thanks!

I too fought the perfectly clear tape not realizing that I had to discard the clear leader portion. The leader tape is there to keep dirt and grime from attaching to the tape while its on the store shelf. New instructions along with lightly cross-hatched leader will go a long way toward fixing this product. The 2-sided tape itself is excellent!

Very poor description for initial use! we had to read these reviews in order to get the roll started. We hope you improve the packaging.

I have tried other brands, but always come back to Scotch brand. I use the double sided tape for all my scrapbooking and card making needs. It is a great product.

Poor explanations on how to use this tape, and that you suppose to throw away 8 first inches, almost caused in throwing the tape away...\
So many customers mentioned it, don't you think you should improve something, Scotch's staff?

As an avid crafter and scrapbooker, I use a lot of double sided tape.  Of course I've thrown away the sales receipt for these 12 rolls I just purchased, otherwise I'd return them.  This tape used to be good, but now they are making it thinner which means it doesn't come off of the roll without breaking.  I will not buy this brand again because crafting should be fun and this tape makes it frustratingId!

I bought Scotch Double Sided Tape and could not get the backing off to use it.  After I researched it on Scotch's website, I learned that the actual double sided tape starts beyond the beginning of the roll.  I rolled it out and voila! I have the tape I thought I was purchasing.  The packaging need more information but the product is very good.

I bought this tape despite all of the negative reviews.  I don't get it.  Anything I stick together with this tape will not come apart.  That is the point of something that's PERMANENT.  This tape is not meant to be removed, and it is clearly marked as being permanent.  It was easy to figure out how to get to the usable tape; the protective layer says in a few languages - including English - that the protective layer must be unwound before use.  About 7 inches of the tape is covered by this layer, and once that's been removed, you are free to use the tape for all kinds of projects.  And the tape is nice and sturdy - not too thick, not too thin.

I agree with the other comments.  Had to come to the internet to find how to use it.  Wasn't until i read the other comments at this site did I understand what to do.  Why doesn't 3M write that simple instruction on the box or on the protective tape 'unroll first six inches before tape activates' or something like that.

Bought this tape today and it worked like a charm on present wrapping. No tape showing anywhere and so strong. \

All I can say is that if you don't have the competence or patience to pull off a few inches of leader tape before giving up and typing an angry review, you better not have a driver's license, own a glue gun or be a parent. You need serious help. \

Great tape, great results, and, yes, a short bit of leader tape you don't have to peel apart - just pull it out and zip it off like one does with tape. \
