They changed the scent! 1/5!

I love the original Downy scent, and was unhappy to switch to another when I could no longer find this product. Last night I finally found it again, and excitedly bought two bottles. But as soon as I started using the product, I knew something was off. The scent has been changed. I'll be emptying both bottles in my sink tonight, because I find this new scent so unpleasant. Consumers: test it in the store before you buy it! And Febreze: bring back the original Downy scent!

Bring back original scent

I absolutely LOVED the Downy April Fresh Febreze when it first came out. However, the new formula does not even smell like Downy April Fresh. (It actually smells very bad--I thought it was a production error.) I hope they bring back the original formula which smells so clean and fresh. I will not purchase any of the new formula. As a matter of fact when I find a store that still has the old formula I buy every bottle they have!

PLEASE bring back the original Downy scent!

I've never written a product review before, but scents in my home are very important to me, and I'm hoping this review will help make a difference in bringing back a great product. I had been using Febreze with original Downy scent ever since I first saw it in my grocery store. I love the Downy original scent. The last bottle I bought, though, DID NOT smell like Downy...at first I thought it was just my nose, and then it occurred to me that maybe the bottle was mislabeled since it smelled a bit like vanilla. After smelling more bottles at the store, I realized there was definitely a difference in the formulation. Is it because you're going for a stronger scent to last longer (the bottle promised to deliver the scent for 3 days)? A scent is no good to last longer if it isn't pleasant. PLEASE bring back the original formulation--it really smells like you have freshly laundered the room. Thank you for listening!!

it stained my car seats

I have always purchased febreze and been satisfied however, the last purchase was not a success. I purchased a '03 ford escape with a tan finish inside and the auto febreze stained my seats. I am not sure as to why it did. There are not any statements saying WARNING MAY STAIN.....i was rather disappointed with the stains but the product did make the vehicle smell amazing as it promised. I just really wish the stains were not there...It was i guess what you would call a bitter sweet situation.

What happened?!!!

I recently purchased 3 bottles of the Febreze Downy April Fresh...I hadn't been able to find it for a while and so I was excited when I finally did. (It's my favorite scent). However, my excitement ended when I sprayed it. It smells horrible-nothing like the way it used to smell. I returned all of the bottles and will not be purchasing it again until it smells like Downy again.
I'm really not sure why the scent has changed, but I just wanted to warn fellow fans of the orginal Downy April Fresh scent that it's not the same!!

**FINALLY!** Downy April Fresh Original is BACK!

Finally! After a year and a half they actually brought back the ORIGINAL April Fresh Downy Febreze! I had to look twice at the shelf to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing! And sure enough there it was! I sprayed some on my clothes right there in the store and guess what? NO MORE SCENT PEARLS! I was so excited that I actually bought 4 bottles today! And I am going back tomorrow to stock up on some more... before they decide to change it again! (Which I hope they don't!)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for giving us the Original April Fresh Downy Febreze back! And please DON'T change it again! It's perfect the way it is!

No smell should mean no scent, too

I love Febreze. I started using it when it first came on the market and I was having a terrible time fighting our wonderful old dog Chocolate's dog smell.
I felt confident that if I swept up all that golden dog hair and cleaned well, then sprayed Febreze, the house would be fresh. No stinky dog lived in my house!!

I couldn't always smell the dog, of course. I knew my sons were completely used to Chocolate's smell. That made me worry about what guests could smell. But Febreze helped with that

I really liked the idea that when people were coming over, even if a friend texted that she'd be there in a minute, I could race to the hall closet for the Febreze, spritz the carpet in the living room and dining room and feel pretty sure that she wouldn't smell sweet Chocolate. And in those days, she wouldn't smell Febreze either. Just my fresh, clean house.

I used it in the kitchen, too, to get rid of fish smells but not interfere with the good food smells.

Now I'm still using Febreze, couldn't do without it, but I can't seem to find a kind that is scentless. I don't want my friends to feel uncomfortable because they can smell that I've been running around preparing for their visit. And I don't want my house to smell like anyone else's house.

In the kitchen I've gone back to using vinegar when I want to spritz the fishy air, but it doesn't work as well as Febreze. Still It's better than an artificial smell.

i want to be a single-freshener user. Please bring back Scentless Febreze.

Interesting

I have OCD and I like everything in my house to be put into its place and for all things to look good and smell fresh. I had been addicted to Windex for years and used it all around the house for every cleaning need. It worked, but over time, it seemed like it took the "shine" away and, of course, there is the smell. I accidentally knocked the bottle of Febreze over on my counter and some spilled out. I went to wipe it up and noticed a nice clean surface and a "shine". A few days later, I was going to the living room to Febreze the furniture before company came and I accidentally knocked the bottle over again, but this time, on my kitchen's hardwood floor. Way more spilled out this time too. I wiped it up and again noticed that my surface was both clean and shiny. No product, not even a wet swiffer, had made it look that good - AND it smelled clean! Now I use it on all of my surfaces (barring mirrors and windows). Everything looks and smells great!

Great Fabric Refresher

I absolutely love Febreze fabric refresher. I use it in all the rooms in my house and in both my vehicles. I have a dog and it helps make the house not have that dog smell. I LOVE it!!!!!

Does what it says and more

I have seven dogs and as you can imagine a slight "aroma" in my house. I spray this on my couches and all the dog beds and like magic the doggie smell is gone! Love it, along with all the air freshener ones I have

Let the dogs on the couch but don't smell like it

We spray down our couch regularly with this and it doesn't smell like our two dogs who snooze on the couch all the time. Win!

febreeze fabric refresher

love the product and the way it freshens fabrics, however I stopped using it because the trigger spray will not pump the product out and totally stops working. i had to buy an empty spray bottle and pour the contents into it just to use it. After having to do this 3 or 4 times I just stopped buying it altogether. I contacted P&G 2 times and each time was told they would send a pre paid envelope to return the defective products. However that never happened.

Fantastic product

I love this Fabreze! Having two dogs it can get quite smelly. I love being able to spray the carpet and furniture. It almost instantly eliminates the odors.

Noone will no you have a pet!

This is absolutely THE BEST Pet odor eliminator ever. I used this all the time when I had a pet with a problem of incontinence and it was a lifesaver many many times. It really is like the commercials say. It doesn't just cover up the odors. It neutralizes them. I highly recommend this product with anyone that has pets or ever for anyone looking to remove the "attic" odors from thier potential springtime tagsale items. It works great for that too.

Great to truly eliminate major odors

I purchase this product regularly. It has proven time and time again to be very effective in eliminating indoor odors of any kind. Additionally, it is gently enough to use it you have major allergies as I do.

This product really works!

We have two dogs in the house, and this winter when it was so cold, snowy and wet outside, they often came in damp. While I tried to dry them off, I found our home to begin to smell a little bit "doggy". It was bitter cold, so I couldn't air out the house by opening the windows. So I used Febreze Fabric Refresher: Pet Odor Eliminator on the carpets, furniture, and even sprayed some in the air in the rooms that had flooring. The house no longer smelled like dogs live here. This product really works! It's a staple at our house now and I use it regularly to keep our home smelling fresh and more "human" than "dog".

Love this fragrance

I bought this product to freshen up my bedding (sheets, blankets, etc.). I always like to use something like this between washings to keep my bedding fresh. The fragrance of this product is really refreshing. It has a light, clean scent that does not overpower when sprayed. I would recommend this product to everyone.

poopy diaper smell gone!

I love Febreze! I have a 2 year old and a 10 year old. Both are girls and they make some good messes. Well yesterday my 2 year old decided to do finger painting from her diaper. Thanks to febreze the smell went away really quick! Grabbed the febreze for my van since I ran out of my air effects! Thank you for such an awesome product!

Great product for renewed freshness.

This product actually improves the smell in your home ! It doesn't mask odors and lasts for days ! I can spray this product on our beds, curtains, throws, pillows, etc and gives the room a fresh lasting scent. I also like this scent because it seems like you threw everything ( your mattress) into the washer and dryer. I hope they continue with this product, I love it so much !

Love the product not the new packaging

I buy this version of Febreeze all the time. It's my favorite smell, especially for my car. I didn't notice that it had a different packaging than what I am used to. Long story short, the bottle got squished and all of the Febreeze came out onto a sweatshirt I had in my car. I want the old the packaging back instead of the twist and lock.

DOES NOT WORK!!!

I bought tons of this stuff because the commercial was so convincing but when I use it it DOESN'T work!!! I must say it smells great for about 5 minutes then you can't smell even a small whiff of it.

Tips for Febreze Fabric Freshners

You will know the musty smells clothing & fabrics get from age & just hanging in the wardrobe or storage areas.

Try these simple suggestions to freshen up what won't wash out or avoid re-washing.

Spray item with Your Febreeze Fabric Freshener and;

. Hang in breeze & sunlight until dried out.
. Throw in the tumble dryer to dry & air, depending on fabric & settings, for 5 to 10 minutes or until fabric mist has dried of & freshened.
. Iron on appropriate setting until fabric mist has dried & freshened.

Use this on anything from clothing to linen, cushion covers, curtains or any fabric items.

Four dogs and a cat can leave odor on everything they touch and don't touch!

Taking care of my two large dogs, my daughter's two large dogs and my son's cat can make for a very smelly house. I never want guests to be over run by pet smells when visiting my house. And even worse when we can smell those odors living there you know they have to be strong. I move from room to room using the Pet Odor Eliminator on couches, pillows, bedspreads you name it. Quickly those pet odors are eliminated leaving my house refreshed for the day. Can't live without it! Now if I could only keep the animals out of the trash!

Really works!

I could not believe how well this worked. We had family stay with us who are smokers and this got the smell completely out of all the furniture they slept on. It was amazing.

Febreze- Best Invention

Febreze, no matter which fragrance or non-fragrance, is the best invention. Although nothing removes cat urine odor, this and all the Febreze varieties do a great job
eliminating most other types of odors. Example, my winter coat gets Febreze'd about once a week. It is dry-clean only and dry cleaning my coat several times a winter is an expense. (I do not like the home dry cleaning products.) Febreze gets rid of the cigarette smoke from the person standing next to me. Febreze gets rid of the onion smell after eating breakfast in my favorite diner. Febreze freshens up my furniture when it's too cold out to open up a window and let fresh air in. Frebreze ....well, you get the picture.

viloa! perfection!!

If my clothes come out of my front loading washer smelling stale or 'sour', I simply spritz them with FEBREZE, dry them, and viola!!!!! Perfection!
It saves me time and money not to have to re-wash the laundry load.

Perfect for refreshing!

I have found this product to be a clean and refreshing scent to spice up your worn furniture and have used it to freshen up clothing as well. The spray container allows you to Febreze fabric chairs, hanging items of clothing and drapes and curtains. It's not an over-powering scent and makes you say 'AH!' when you pull the item out of the closet or just gets close to a window curtain or drape. I highly recommend this product to keep things smelling fresh.

What dog?

Using Febreze's Pet Odor Eliminator, anyone visiting our home can not tell we have a dog that "rules the roost". He has his own chair so he can look out the window. He sleeps on our beds at night. So, I spray everything with Febreze. Great product!

Makes clothes smell much better

Helps me keep my clothes smelling fresh. I like the scent though sometimes it's a little strong when it first comes out. I like the product - my only reason for giving it a 4 is that I'm not sure how long it lasts.

This product worked beyond my expectations

I purchased Febreze pet odor eliminator because my older dog was napping on my living room sectional. I have a family child care and did not want any unwanted odors. I used the Febreze on my living room sectional as soon as I got home from the store. I sprayed the sectional and let it dry. The doggy smell disappeared and it smelled fresh. The amazing thing is that I have tried other products on the sectional and my dog will not go near it for days. He did go and take a nap on the sectional as soon as I let him back in the room. Now I am happy I have found a product that works and he is happy that I still let him nap in his favorite spot.

Effective, but fragrant

The productive works very well. However, the scent is very strong. I am sensitive to artificial scents, so this is a negative for me. Overall, the product is good.

Great for giving your cleaning a finishing touch.

This product brings an uplifting scent & freshness to bedding, pillows, sofas, chairs-anything made of fabric. It has a light floral scent, dries quickly and does not leave visible spots or stains. It's good for window curtains & fabric shower curtains, too.

Clean scent and clears air quickly

I have a cat and two labs inside. Gets rid of the general animal smell especially wet dog after it rains. Really gets rid of odors when there is an occasional "accident".

This has such a great spring fresh scent. It reminded me of laundry just fresh off the clothes line. It didn't mask smells but made the whole room smell great.

This product works wonders. I spray every where when we have guests coming over it takes a way the extra smells that cleaning left behind. Love this product. Highly recommended!!!

Amazing

My daughter got car sick on a long trip. She threw up everywhere I cleaned up what I could until we made it to the hotel. We had some of this febreze which saved us until we made it.

Original Scent is still the best of all

The original scent Febreze (now only available in "Extra Strength") is still the best fragrance and the only Fabric Refresher I use. I buy the Refill size in order to be sure I always have it on hand, as I use it almost every day. Febreze works differently than other products and seems to permanently eliminate the odors that accumulate in fabrics and porous surfaces. I've been a dedicated fan since it was first introduced. Thank you for a great product that does what it claims to do!

Got rid of skunk odor on dog's collar

My dog tangled with a skunk. She wears an invisible fence collar. I removed the receiver and soaked the collar in baking soda water and washed in washer but still smelled like skunk. So I soaked it with Febreze Heavy duty and it worked great. I cannot detect the skunk odor at all. As for the receiver, I put in a baggy with dry baking soda , after wiping it thoroughly with a bleach wipe. The next morning still had a skunk smell. So I sprayed the heavy duty Febreze let it dry and although it was less it still smelled. Sprayed a second time and let dry and on first sniff, appears to be skunk odor free . Wish I could spray it on my dog as after a hydrogen peroxide bath and two baths with shampoo from the vet, I can still detect skunk odor although it is at a tolerable level now.

Beyond Excellent

My dog got skunked late 1 night & we had our whole house fan on, needless to say our house stunk to high heaven. After de-skunking the dog I went in the house w the only Febreze I had on hand and sprayed it EVERYWHERE Thankfully we have more hardwood flooring than carpeting turning the whole house fan on again I did spray the throw rugs and furniture for 11/2-2 days and being the skeptic I am didn't think we'd ever get the "skunk smell" out. Well let me tell you after day 2 we are skunk free thanks to febreze!!!! :)

Best. Scent. Ever.

My mom always used Tide detergent, and now I do for my family. The smell is nostalgic for me and the epitome of "clean smell". This new line of Febreeze in Original Tide Scent is everything I hoped it'd be. The exact smell of Tide combined with the effectiveness of Febreeze is an all around win. Please never stop making this! I'd love to see additional products in this scent, like an all purpose cleaner, etc. Well done Febreeze!

This was the BEST odor. Not sickening or sweet

Most of your febreeze smells gets so strong and annoying, especially in the aerosol cans, this I have been using ever since it came out. Well, I will have to find a new product, don't like any of your others

My new favorite scent

I have been a Tide customer for many years. When I heard about Tide scented Febreze, I went and bought this right away. Love the scent and it lasts a few hours. I also have the plug in as well. I'm in heaven.

Covered vomit smell

My toddler vomited on everything including my bed. This product did it's job! The dispenser needs some work. I normally buy store brand fabric refreshers because it doesn't leak when sprayed. I honestly dumped your product into a knock off brand because the sprayer works better.

not lavender, but nice

This is the least "Febreze" scent in the lineup, which is why I like it. It's definitely not lavender, and actually a little masculine. I like that when you spray it it doesn't smell like you've sprayed Febreze all over. We use it as a temporary fix when people are coming over to to freshen spots where our dogs sleep. The scent lasts quite a while and smells clean as opposed to overly fragranced.

The best product ever.

My family has multiple people with chemical sensitivities. Having something that eliminates the odors without making my family sick is crucial. We go through multiple bottles of Febreze Free a month. The last few days I haven't been able to find it in any stores which sent us into a panic thinking it was being discontinued. PLEASE don't every stop making this wonderful product.

The pre-Febreeze smell was better than post-treatment. I actually took it to the dry cleaner to get the smell out, rather than wear it.

This really works!

Have a cat, cat dander, and we live in a very dusty area. This product really reduces just like it says it does. The only problem we have is finding it at our stores.

smells good but does not empty.

we do like febreze and how it gets rid of the smells, the problem we have is that with about 30% to 40% of the 8oz to 8.8oz containers at least 1/3 of the product will not come out because it just quits spraying. I do not know if there is not enough preasure in the can to get the product out or what but that is product and money lost.

Love Love Love

I love that this is a neutralizer. Strong smells really bother me and gives me headaches. However, this product leaves my house smelling crisp and fresh without the added odors!

Works great -- leaves nothing behind!!!

I'm so thankful for this product!!! It truly does get rid of terrible smells without replacing them with a different one. I am not a fan of scented household or personal products, so this is great! If Febreeze ever comes out with a scent-free air freshener spray, I will buy that too.

Definitely works

I have used this on old couches and most notably, on a travel crib that had been used a few times in a tent trailer that had a strong musty smell. Two years later, the musty smell was still there despite airing it outside and washing the washable parts. I tried Febreeze Free and the smell is completely gone and no scent was added! I bought three bottles because I'm concerned it will be discontinued; I couldn't find it in stores, just online.

Febreze Fabric Free is an amazing product that eliminates odors without an overwhelming masking fragrance. If you have fragrance sensitivities, this is the product to try. The product works! This is an amazing find!

Suitable for chemically sensitive! Yay!!!!!

I have very bad chemical sensitivities and most sprays result in severe respiratory distress followed by bronchitis or pneumonia. Febreeze Free is a product I can actually use safely and with no ill effects afterwards. I LOVE IT!!!!! I've found nothing else like it. My only problem is that I have great difficulty finding it in stores and the other febreeze bottles offered do cause me problems. Going to try to order some directly or get someone to carry them for me. Can't recommend it enough!

Second Best

I was very disappointed that Big Sur Woods was discontinued. This was my favorite Febreze Scent. Linen & Sky is my second likable Febreze Scent. The other scents I tried were too perfumy or just stinked. So I don't think you'll go wrong in getting Linen & Sky.

When I got home I found that my great dane pooped 7 times. I did everything I could and used every other pet odor eliminator and cleaner, yet no matter what I did the entire house still smelled. Until I bought this. This instantly eliminated the smell and my stress and is the most wonderful thing. I would recommend this to anyone. My whole house smells better than it ever did.

The sweet smell of nothing!

Thank you so much for creating a product for people with fragrance sensitivities. We want our clothes and our homes to smell as unoffensive as the next person - but not by dousing it in perfume. Please consider making this as an air freshener!
