FAX2840 High-Speed Laser Fax

Our other Brother Fax bit the dust after about 5 years. This is great improvement.

Easy to use, and very efficient.
I'm just sorry that I didn't get the model that includes a scanner.

Prior Brother Intellifax machine no longer willing to print. Had to replace it. This one prints nice clear copies.
At first I was not able to receive Faxes with this machine, but the telephone company installed a clean line with low noise. I guess the machine will not work with any noise on the line.
I called the service department two times and they walked me through the trouble shooting as best they could. They did not know why the machine would not receive faxes on the dedicated fax line but would receive faxes on the voice telephone line.

I haven't had the machine for very long but so far it is doing a great job

Fairly easy setup. Nice size footprint. Initial toner life is somewhat abbreviated but regular, full size replacement toner seems to be available at numerous retail outlets and often at discount prices. Bit pricy to get decent length (6ft) USB cord (not included) to link Fax to Desktop. However, once installed, Fax works great as printer with good quality output. Only difficult time was downloading updated printer driver from Brother site.

We upgraded and since our old faxes were also Brother brand we decided to purchase same brand. We were satisfied with product and were able to use for many years.

Much faster and neater than my old machine. Like the fact that it is laser and not filament.

It was hard to find a laser fax, that was just that. Most new products will do too many things we did not need and for which we did not want to pay extra.

I am really happy with this fax machine it is very quiet and user friendly

Once we got it set up, it has been great. We all love it. It is easy and fast to use.

very good laser printing and fax speed, but LCD display too dismal to read and not able to adjust to make more readable

I don't use it often, but when I do, I need it to be fast.

We are very happy with our Brother Fax machine so far, it works very well with no issues so far.\
The Brother fax machine is far better than the other brands of fax machines that we owned over the years.

Very user friendly for individuals who have never owned a fax machine.

I really like this model & would say it is the way to go for small office use! Of course you can't go wrong with Brother!

It fits all my needs, is very fast, which I like in my office and helpful!

Love everything about this fax, except the display screen.  It is too small and not bright enough at all.  The fax is on a lower shelf so the lighting is not the best, but the display has no back light at all making it almost impossible to see.

it helps me with a lot of stuff I do for my small business it saves me a lot of time,its very efficient when it comes to fax ,copying, printing from the computer and it has a phone too, to me its the best employee at my business and I don't have to pay  the machine a salary . Great machine guys, thank you.

It fits the needs of my small business. We would buy more if we needed more.

Fax works great. Its very simple and basic.  Only issue we are having, it uses a lot of toner very quickly.   We are constantly ordering toner.

Easy to use, all functions have step by step on screen display of what to do. Scans documents quickly for fax. Prints very clear received faxes and reports.

We have not had any problems since purchasing our machine several months ago.  We do not use the phone feature so we had to tape down the handset to keep it from falling off the hook.

Excellent fax/copier.....quick and easy!  Good quality

Not as reliable as 2820 Intellifax, lost some features

Have installed them in 6 different office's , Equipment looks professional performs exceptionally well

Grate all in one the fax works grate and its a grate copier and scanner as well.\
MY old one died after 12 years of service and i got this as a replacement and i love it.\

ok for the price having a hard Tim to save numbers? but other than that good  also when sending fax sometimes does not transmit properly have to resend.

Great value; low price for a great printer. Printer provides high quality pages, quick printing, dependable, compact and looks good; I would highly recommend this printer.

Have been very happy with it so far.  Does not get extensive use but is great as a small home business fax and copier.  Customer service has been helpful when needed.

Love this fax machine!  We've used several different brands and this is by far the best.

We use this in a very small office.  We only use it for sending and receiving faxes.  We have not, and do not intend to, use it for copying.  The set up was very easy - I did it myself without any issues.  We are very happy with this fax machine.

I like that this can also function as a printer. I don't like that the auto feed is only 20 pages. Even at that, if I try to fax more than about 10 pages, it sucks in multiple pages and I have to start over. I am replacing this with Brother Compact Monochrome Laser All-in-One Multifunction Printer, MFCL2710DW, as it has a 50 page auto feed and is cheaper and it is an all in one.

Recently our Brother Intellifax 2800 that we purchased in 2003 finally died. In view of the fact it had lasted such a long time, we wanted to stick with another Brother product.  The Intellifax 2840 we got has all the features we need and we really appreciate the capacity of the paper drawer! I highly recommend Brother products!

So far is has worked like it is intended to no problems of any kind.  Nice clean copies and faxes...
