HLL3290CDW Compact Digital Color Printer with Convenient Flatbed Copy and Scan, Plus Wireless and Du

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. This is a great printer for office use, and home use if you do a lot of printing at home. The color quality is adjustable so you can save on ink if you choose to do so. It`s prints very quickly as well. The copy, or scan feature works great, and does so very quickly also. If you download the app printing from your phone is made very simple, and scanning documents, or images to your phone works great. The printer also has the ability to fax if connected to a phone line, but I didn`t use this feature. The only downside I can give about this printer is that it`s quite large. It would be perfectly fine in an office setting, but it is also stated that it is for home use, and it looks a little out of place for a home printer. The other downside is the toner replacement cartridges are quite expensive to replace. Again in an office environment I don`t see this being an issue, but for home use it`s a bit pricey. I guess it`s a bit of a trade off for a home printer. It will take forever before you need to replace toner, but it will be expensive when you do. After using it for a week, and printing quite a lot from my home office the printer works exactly as I`d expect. It prints quickly, the print quality is great, and the app works flawlessly from my phone. The installation of the software to my home pc was a breeze as well. I would definitely recommend this printer for office use, and home use as long as you`re aware that the toner will last a very long time, but will be a bit expensive when you need to do it.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.  I have a home office and had limited spaced on top of my workstation desk.  This printer/copier met my needs and demands to handle multiple tasks with speed and user friendly features. It was very easy to set up.  Take out of box, and simply remove packaging around each toner cartridge, located on top of the machine.  Next, I just removed some of the tape and packaging in the paper tray.  Since this printer is wireless, it only needed to be plugged in to the wall for electricity.  The wireless set up was much easier than I thought.  Once the CD is installed, it will automatically recognize the WiFi network you are using.  From here, I just followed the prompts and within minutes, I was ready to start printing and coping!For a laser copier, the only slight drawback is that it is a bit  noisy.

Shipping: This product was packaged and shiped very securely.  No major worries that damage could have happened even with non-careful delivery.Assembly:  I found the unpacking and general setup to be very easy.  The printer is a decent size, about as expected for a laser printer, as I have seen and used plenty of laser printers much larger than this product with equal to or even less features.  Connection instructions were also very easy to follow.  I had it up and running in 10 minutes and I wouldn`t say I am super technical. If you do have set up or product questions however, this brand/product comes with a product lifetime support line with a live person or live chat to help, which is always refreshing! I haven`t had to use the helpline yet, but is nice to know I have if I do need it.  I do have to add one downfall, which really isn`t that big of a deal, is the lack of an alpha-numeric keypad for entering the initial setup info like time/date/Wifi/etc..  You have to use arrows to get to each charachter, which takes a little time.  But, once you set it up, hopefully that`s the last time you need to do this.Printer: I was most pleasantly surprised at how quiet and fast it prints.  It definitely is a great fit for my home office needs, especially while on a conference call and quietly printing out documents sitting right next to it. I loved the B&W, Color prints/copies, and 2 sided print options which I use often.  The quality of these types of prints was very impressive with very clear images.  The scanner option was equally impressive as well.Possible problem: If you don`t have a dedicated spot in your home/office, this product is on the larger side, but understand the challenges of making these things smaller isn`t always easy with the favorable features this product has to offer.Overall, I found this product to be a great printer/copier/scanner and so far highly satisfied, but that is based on limited time of use.  Now I just need to see how long the toner lasts before replacement and how reliable it is in the long run. This product is for sure great quality!  I`ve had other Brother products in the past and this appears to be another sturdy and trustworthy product from them!

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. This product does everything well! I can`t believe how well it prints and scans. It prints super fast. The instructions were clear and easy to read. This printer was easy to connect and set up. I was actually able to print from my phone directly as well! It was really easy! The last printer I purchased said it would print easily from my phone, but 4 years later it still doesn`t. The only improvement I would suggest, if any, is that the box is pretty heavy. I had a hard time bringing it in after shipment by myself. Other then that, I would highly recommend this printer for anyone!

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I`ve been using the Compact Digitial Color Printer HL-L3290CDW for about 2 weeks now. As a remote worker, I need a printer and scanner that I can trust will work. This printer did that and more. The printer is fast and the quality of the printed pages is spectacular. The copy machine and scanner machine also work well. The machine is simple to use with a few buttons that highlight printer, scanner, etc. The best part is that it is a WiFi printer - which is something I had never used before. I would highly recommend this printer to my other colleagues who work remote and have already recoemmdend to my parents who are retired but still need printer/copy/scanning functionality.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The Brother Compact Digital Color Printer is a great Multi use printer. It produces fantastic color pictures. You can scan papers into your computer for the same machine. And it prints with ease, no complications what-so-ever. It gives you all these features in a great compact design, small enough to fit most anywhere. It gives you all your printing and scanning needs in one unit so no need to have multiple machines on your desk.

The black ink in our printer runs out way to fast. We go through a new ink cartridge once a week and the office staff is under 4 employees without printing many documents.

At first the printing was not so cool, but then I had seen that it has a fine and bold setting and now comes out really nice. I hope that it will last for a long time.

I would like to see Brother put together a toner package for this printer that would include all of the high capacity cartridges needed in one simple to order (and hopefully cheaper) box.

Awfully pleased with the quality construction - an understatement, and its flawless performance, just like we had been with the 8350CDW previously.\
We also have a Brother MFC-L2700DW - same positive experience.\
One of the many reasons we gravitate toward Brother products is their complete, up-to-date, software/driver web site support even for old operatingId systems. This has not been the case with other major manufacturers as we discovered belatedly.\
When it comes to office products, Brother is out number one choice.\

The HL-L8350CDW was performing impeccably well for years, until its support stand was knocked over and in the process the printer fell from three feet high. It continued working perfectly well however, we felt unjustifiably uneasy. So we decided to donate it to charity with a full explanation note. Somewhere at this moment there is a happy bargain hunter.

Overall I really like this printer, I bought this primarily for all the pdf pattern printing I do and homeschool printing also. I did find it a bit more challenging to set up than other printers I have had in the past. In all honesty, I would probably just recommend going to Brother's site and just downloading the software instead of bothering with the disc. The reason I am not giving this 5 stars is as follows, it is slow to start printing. We have pretty good wifi in our house but with this printer being wifi only, no ethernet  cords you are reliant on that. It seems to take quite some time for it to send info from my laptop to the printer. It also goes to sleep and then you have to go and manually turn it on and off otherwise it won't "wake up" to print your stuff. I find this frustratingId at times but I'm glad I've found this fix. I don't know if it's jut my inexperience with the brand that I'm not sure about how to use it properly. I also don't care for the fact that it doesn't have a regular screen and keyboard to type stuff in like your wifi password. It took an egregious amount of time to get it connected. Overall it's print quality is quite good for both color and b&w printing. It does print the pages quickly. I don't recommend trying to print photos with it as it just doesn't do well with photos. But I didn't buy it for that and had read that was an issue with Laser printers anyhow. I have had the printer a few months now and I look forward to seeing how it lasts and how long the cartridges hold out. I had issues with a different brand where my printer heads would dry up and not print well after not using it for a few weeks.

Machine has excellent paper capacity, long lasting ink supply, easy WiFi setup.

The best printer out of 7 I have owned over the years.  A solidly built machine that never skips a beat.  Constantly performs as advertised.

We really like the way this printer performs. It will be more economical for us on ink cost. The ink jet printer wasn't used enough, and the cartridges would dry out.

Printer was very easy to set up and use. I've used another Brother printer in the past with a touch screen, but this one doesn't have one, and I don't feel it's a drawback at all. Printer was shipped to me and packaged very securely and it has worked flawlessly for a couple hundred pages so far. I had to tweak some settings on my wireless router to allow me to setup wireless printing, which not everyone will have to do.

So far so good, purchased only a couple months ago.

I'm very happy with my first laser printer.  It prints the first page very quickly.  The duplex option is fast enough to use consistently.\
Scanner works very fast.

I first bought the MFC-J5830dw which worked fine until I couldn't get it to print even with Brother ink cartridges!  Decided I'd had it with inkjets so finally found this color laser that allows you to print straight through on cardstock!  I've only had it a couple of months, but so far (other than the HUGE footprint), I absolutely love it!!!

Love the printer.  The features are just what I wanted -- it's easy to use and the remote, wireless printing allows everyone in the house to print to it from wherever they are.  And you can print documents from your phone!

I love the duplex printing and the fact that I can now scan large documents. I didn't though realize that there is no feed for the copying /faxing. My bad. I have found that it is slower than my previous Brother color laser. I absolutely hate the fact that I have to tern it on everytime I print. My old Brother would automatically turn on when the signal was sent. Over all the new Brother is a good machine.

I purchased my printer in February. So far it is printing great. I do labels as well on a regular. I haven't needed toner yet so not sure how that auto program works

We haven't put our new printer to serious use yet, but so far we love how quick and quiet it is.  I expect to feel the same as we use it more.

Manual is 165 pages and incorporates 4 or 5 printers.  Be nice if there was one manual for one printer.

So far it's done every thing that I needed it to do.  The quality of print is excellent

After buying 2 ink jet printers in a year and having them displaying various error messages that I was unable to resolve I decided to try a laser printer. This printer is straight forward to use and prints beautifully..

wireless prints great from 3 iphones and 2 dell laptops. can't get new dell laptop wireless but prints great wired.

This is the third color machine I have purchased for personal and a charitable organization use, I am very happy with the reliability, the color quality could be better but I can sacrifice the quality for reliability for my needs.

I have been using laser printers since the mid 1990s, and my Brother machines have been among my favorites. This is my first experience with a color laser printer and I'm loving it. It's very user friendly and the print quality is outstanding. Love the arrangement of the color cartridges!

This is a great color laser printer.  We only use it occasionally but the toner does not dry out like ink cartridges.  The only negative is their software download.  We actually removed it and only use the printer driver to install from the internet.  Their software is a constant sales pitch with non stop pop ups.  Very irritating.

I really love these Brother printers. I have had four of them over the years. The quality of this printer is excellent and it is a great price. Good value!

After spending all afternoon trying to get this thing to scan to the cloud I'm now discovering that Brother doesn't support Chrome OS.  Come on!  You're terribly behind and need to get on the ball.  Wasted four hours this afternoon.

This printer is proving to be exactly what I need.  The wireless capability and double sided copies are an added bonus to the speed in which it prints.

Works quick, quiet, with good color.  Easy to use and setup.

The scans come back lovely, and the printed sheets are perfect. It is quick, and quiet. It also does not take up anymore room than my older black only laser printer.

So far, this seems to be one of the best printer choices I have made. Tired of inkjets, this is my first color laser printers,and so far it is great.

Extremely satisfied, every ink jet I ever bought would be having print issues by now. Just as clear and concise documents as the day I bought it and set it up. Great scanner and wireless connection. Couldn't be happier

After following every instruction to replace toner cartridge, i still get "Replace Toner Error" message. Keeps happening, eventually it went away the first time i replaced a cartridge 4 months ago, now it's impossible to reset and get printer to recognize the cartridge is installed correctly. Beyond aggravating. Don't buy this cheap model. You get what you pay for.

Works as intended and the WiFi feature is awesome, no more cables running around.

In the past, I have only purchased inkjet printers because of the cost to own, but I will never go back after purchasing this laser printer. It was effortless to set up and prints every time from every device/computer with no hiccups. The only regret I have is that it has no auto feeder, but I knew that when I purchased it. I now have inkjet printers still lying around the house gathering dust because there is no need for them with this workhorse on the scene.
