HLL8360CDW Business Color Laser Printer with Duplex Printing and Wireless Networking

I really like the features on this printer.  I like the fact that you can print on a second type of paper without removing the main paper supply.\

The one thing that I would wish for is that it needs a larger memory and no add-on memory slot is available.

This is an excellent laser printer - good quality.  And I can print from my phone, laptop and desktop computer wirelessly - it's so nice!

Switching to Legal size paper took an act of congress.  Color prints weren't as vibrant as expected.

Product: I received the Brother HL-L8360CDW Business Color Laser Jet Printer a few days ago and after much use, I have to say I am happy with the product.  I haven`t had anything other than smooth printing experience.\

Features:I love the duplex capability and the wireless ability.  Duplexing saves paper and space in files.  The wireless ability is great with all the mobile devices that can connect and print easily!  \

Install: Installing this product was pretty simple.  I did it myself and within 10 minutes i was printing using wireless feature.  No cords hooking up to computer!  Very easy.  There was  alot of security devices and tape you had to make sure you removed before printing but understand their need.  The directions are somewhat clear as to where these are located but kinda hard to see, so i just looked for all teh colored plastic stuff and tape... figured it out.  \

Comparison: I have typically used HP products and this one is very similar in features and style to the one i am used to.  This one was about $100 cheaper with same features.  I`d say they are very comparable.  So if cost is an issue this may be a better option.  \

Quality:  As of a solid week or so use, i would say the product meets my expectations.  I am hopeful that it continues over the next couple years of use :-)  \

Improvements:  The only improvement i would like to see and it may have it and i just didn`t see, is an option to save ink.  I don`t think Laser Jets have this ability but that woudl be great as ink cartriages are not the cheapest item. I just wish they were less expensive to purchase new ink cartriages.  Not a fan of that but that is consistent in all brands.  \

Overall Impression:  This is an item i would recommend.  I don`t see a reason why you would not consider this product as a possible new printer or replacement to your other brands/models.

The quality of the printer is amazing and the print quality is superb! Unpacking and assembly of the printer was simple but thorough instructions were provided if needed. Downloading the software was quick and easy. Print options are amazing and cover all needs. It has the option to print double sided which is awesome too. My favorite thing about this printer is I can print right from my iPhone with no APP needed, simply use airdrop. This printer is way more than I have a need for and is out of my price range. Even if it was in my price range, replacement toner cartridge prices are ridiculous (even though I`m not sure the average number of prints you can get from each toner cartridge, I`m sure it`s quite a lot though).

Quiet, easy to use, fast, with excellent results.  We only had it for a week and are loving our new printer thus far!

This printer produces high-quality pages at a good speed, and came at a good price for this class of device.  After hearing about the alleged difficulty if installing wireless home-network printers, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the wireless installation was straightforward.

Setup went far more easily than I had expected; it even connected to our wireless LAN without a hitch. The printer works wonderfully; it even handled without difficulty some sheets of membership cards on very heavy cardstock that had jammed in both of our other two printers. And it's very quiet! It sits right next to my desk, and I can be on the phone while it's printing and still hear everything clearly. I am very happy with this printer!

This is my third Brother product and it joins the other two as a great workhorse. The set-up was effortless and the output is excellent. The colors are crisp and the speed is outstanding. While I didn't buy it for its beauty, it is a nice addition to the office.

Like it, but the envelope feed is more complicated than it should be.  You should just be able to open up the feed and put them through, but this one you open the back, put down the 2 pins on both sides, pull down the other side and only put 3 envelopes through.  Doesn't tell you that in the guide. I had to google it and print out the envelope instructions.

This printer uses way too much toner, which is much higher than other toner I have used in your other printers. I will probably purchase another printer and discontinue using the HL8360CDW.

I have enjoyed my laser printer as it prints clear and in vibrant colors. You get just the right paper and you have a good product.

I love this new speedy laser printer, but I didn't realize until too late that it does not scan.  This is a big shortcoming, which means I had to buy a hand-held scanner to compensate.  Yes, it's possible to take a photo with my phone, but not nearly as clean as a scan, or ready for editing.  I'm a teacher who scans frequently--I'm sure a built-in scanner would not have been cost prohibitive with this printer.  The pluses are this print does 2 sided color copying really fast and the ink is dry immediately.  Super quiet too.

good colors........now that is hardwired is printing a bit faster...Frustrated with the lag time when wireless.  Need to monitor ink usage is and then will review if LIKE printer even more.........

History: I am a fairly heavy printer user. I had a workhorse Brother B/W laser printer that lasted three years before the repair costs exceeded the costs of buying a new printer. I replaced that Brother printer with a Lexmark. Its controls were counterintuitive, and I could not consistently figure out how to print single/double sided. Printing letterhead or labels involved multiple changes to the printer's settings. Fortunately for me, it broke after less than a year. I did my online research and bought this printer. I'm happy so far and believe that I will get 3 years out of this unit.

Absolutely worth every dime and the quality is outstanding

Very well built laser printers for business service have been long lasting and worked reliably in our home office environment giving fine print quality. Good prices.

This is such a fun and great quality printer. I admit, I miss having an all-in-one and was sorry it wouldn’t connect wirelessly, but I still love it.

We've been using Brother Printers and HP printers for years.  I can say now that Brother is a true competitor and we love their printers including this one. If I had one suggestion for improvement only, it would be that I'd wish for a faster first page out.

Finally invested if a quality printer for home / home office. Very pleased

I love this printer.   It's fast with excellent print quality.  I particularly love the duplex feature which makes it very easy to print on both sides of the paper.

This color printer replaced my old B&W printer that was long in service (over 10 years.) It wouldn't always print, even after rebooting, eventually it would. Decided it had to go. After internet serches, I decided this color printer would meet my needs. So far it has worked, & others even appreciate the color over the B&W. Costs more, but worth it. The only exception would be if all of your printing was B&W even in color, then a dedicated B&W would be in order. So far this printer has been flawless.

I love the quality of the colors. It's my first Brother printer and I'm amazed how the colors look true to life

I'm a recently retired graphic artist. For 25+ years I've had a near press-quality printer with tabloid and 2-sided capability that was superb for the color rendition I needed, so I am a little spoiled. \
Even in retirement, I wanted to have good color and resolution, just in case; I could live without tabloid size because the mockups I loved creating are a thing of the past....\
I researched options again and again for months and finally decided on this printer, which is incredibly less expensive than what I was using, and also very nicely smaller. Even for a technophobe like me, set up was easy and wifi worked as promised - no problems at all like those some other reviewers have related. \
The only negative I see is the cost of the toner (one replacement set is roughly the cost of the printer!), but so far I'm still on the original cartridges so I don't really know how that will play out. \
I do have some issues with 2-sided printing and have contacted customer support about this, but I think it is due to the old OS and software I'm using. (I haven't upgraded so that I can still amend old files my clients might request.) When I print from current online sources, the 2-sided feature works fine.\
Lastly, this printer is SO QUIET. I love that. I leave it on all the time so that others in the house can print from their devices. Even when it cranks up to print, it's quiet.

This printer will not take third-party toner cartridges, and the cost of Brother toner is prohibitive. For this reason, I returned the printer.

Printer is not recognized by computer.  Have tried both wireless and USB cable but same results.

Ease of set up and functionality are commiserate with the price.  Have not had it long enough or used it enough to recommend on the basis of durability (has been an issue with other laser printers in the past).  Prints clear and crisp, but not as fast as advertised.

This printer has great features, high quality print, fast printing and duplexing (which is my favorite).

We have an HP 8550DN and was looking for some less expensive to take over some of the load from an aging piece of equipment.  This is doing nicely.  Would easily recommend it.

The printer is certainly not the fastest laser printer I've owned and it has a bad habit of a stop and go when oprinting larger files. All pages have a "bend:" that is a bit annoying and makes it more diffiicult to bind them to gether in presentations.

As a small business we work our equipment hard. We have a hard-working Brother 8440 copier/scanner/printer purchased in 2005. Supplies and parts are still available. The Model 8360 color laser printer is right in line with the top level quality Brother has shown. Toner usage appears to be dramatically more economical than other brands. The quality is as expected from more expensive printers.

Love the fact that it can print double-sided - so great for saving paper!  It's quiet, quick and produces great quality prints.

Unbelievable quality for the price, page yield is incredible for the cost of the cartridges. Print quality is very good. I highly recommend this printer!

After suffering with an inkjet printer for a few years, I'm really glad I bought this Brother printer. So far, it's always been available (no problem finding it on the network), the toner doesn't "expire", and the printer doesn't get clogged. There was a small color registration problem at first, but a quick calibration process fixed that, and everything just works now.

The HL-L8360CDW works as advertised.  Very professional looking output.  The printing works fast for a color printer.  Can easily handle the output I need.
