The best surge suppressor I've ever owned.
My dad bought me this exact surge protector in the fall of 1996, for a PC I'd be getting for Christmas. I was in the 4th grade.
I'm out of college now, and in the Enterprise IT field. I still trust this surge supressor to protect my laptop, monitor, speaker system and mobile phone charger. I can't believe that after 15 years, it still looks exactly like the one in the picture. The LEDs still work, all the outlets still provide a firm connection, and it has survived countless brownouts, surges, and electrical noise that makes my battery backup in the other room switch to battery power. It's one of the VERY few things I still have from my childhood, and I have to say, I expect to have it well in to adulthood.
Flat out, it's the most reliable thing I have ever owned. An all metal body is nearly impossible to find on a surge supressor, outside of the rack mountable PDUs I buy for data centers, and the cord is extremely sturdy. You really have to handle it to understand. This isn't built to get the job done on cheap plastic and faith. It's built to last, and last it has.
I have purchased several similar configurations in the isotel product line for family members and friends, and have been EXTREMELY satisfied, however, this model in particular holds a warm spot in my heart, as it's always been there... keeping my equipment protected throughout most of my life.
Avoid the cheap $3 no name power strips, and pickup an isotel. It'll last a lifetime! (well... I'm at 15 years and still going strong!)

This is my second ISO bar for personal use
Used a lot of these in my company, personally owned a 4 outlet version for my PC for more than a decade. The 6 outlet version here was purchased without reservation to protect my home theater setup. My old isobar-4 failed after more than a decade of service (toggle switch gave out), it was replaced very quickly without issue. I know whatever i buy from TRIP-LITE ISOBAR line will be around forever, money well spent.

Quality Surge Suppressor....Have Used TrippLite Products For Years
Have always counted on TrippLite to get a great product at a reasonable price. The ISOBAR6ULTRA was just what I needed. Well built (metal, not plastic) and compact, and the layout is perfect. Outlets are note crammed together, and they are arranged in separate "filter banks" to help keep suppression and noise at a minimum. The ISOBAR6ULTRA is perfect for computers and peripherals, or a small Home Theater set-up.
Would highly recommend TrippLite products to everyone!

Fine power distribution / line filter for PC and related equipment protection. I use these in plant production environment to protect PLC's and related equipment also - fine family of product - highly recommended in the fact that TripLite stands behind their product with no questions asked replacement if any ever fails or breaks. I have had these units protect Telex equipment from lightning strike spikes - melted down the TrippLite IsoBar - equipment unharmed - TrippLite replaced unit. A++ equipment.

I bought this unit when I purchased my first flat screen TV (which I still have and use daily) and DVD/surround sound which was for me a large amount of money. I decided right off I wouldn't have trusted any other surge suppressor except a Tripp-Lite. A surge suppressor is something you would normally want to hide but the Isobar unit is so beautifully constructed that I actually like it being visible. It must be doing a great job as it has been protecting my equipment for over five years with no problems. If you value your equipment I highly recommend it.

I have 12 over these suppressors In may shop and computer room. They work great and a great job for my computers and all the electronics that I have. will not buy any thing but Tripp-Lite suppressors.

PERFECT FOR AUDIO-ONLY STEREO SYSTEM
I have been using TrippLite products as long as I can remember! They work great in my stereo system. Build quality is first rate, super reliable. Never had one fail on me yet and don't expect to. These are my go-to "power strips."

I have bought several of these units over the years and only one has failed. The unit was placed outside during Xmas to light up Xmas lights. The dust and cold probably did the unit in, but I have never had a fixture failure when using these units.

Does the job. Electronics remain safe in storms, and warning lights reliably indicated when I wasn't on a grounded outlet. You're safe with this product.

Great price point, wonderful coverage and awesome company!
I have used Tripplite products for over 30 years and they have never failed! I have had them blown, but what was great, nothing plugged in got damaged. Cut the cord or send back the Isobar unit and they replace it. Where else can you find this kind of warranty? Priceless 30 years ago and still the same today!
We have used their UPS's and they are also wonderful! Pricepoint is better than APC based on KVA, coverage and they stand behind their products and nothing gets past them either.

If it's good enough for HTI....
My old company, Hutchinson Technology, Inc. used this product all over the plant. As a world leader in hard-disc drive suspensions, manufacturing demands are critical, so these inexpensive surge protectors are used throughout the company to protect valuable manufacturing equipment and meters. Hundreds are in use.
So when I needed some surge protection for my home stereo system, this was the system for me. Now my Audio by Van Alstine Ultravalve tube amp is fully protected from all bad things coming in from the power grid. Not much to pay for security.

A solid workhorse to surpress transients
A great product with second to none customer service. As an electronics engineer, I understand what it takes by way of circuitry and component quality to perform exceptional protection from "spikes" on the power line. Lots of products on the market just do not make the grade. The Isobar line offers up a solid product providing the necessary protection for all my expensive electronics.. I own several Isobar units. I had occasion to contact Customer Service on one instance. I received a new unit with no hassle. That's the way business should be conducted!

Excellent suppression and filtering
Tripp-Lite is more or less the only product I'll buy for surge suppression on things that I care about, short of building a suppressor or line filter myself. The ISOBAR line has proper filtering on multiple banks within the unit (I believe every pair of plugs has a dedicated filter) so it will reduce AC line noise going to the things you have plugged in and reduce noise generated by what you have plugged in. It also has surge protection you can trust, unlike most cheap power strips. Highly recommended - I love these things.

We have several of these units at the office with various components plugged into them. Ours are older models too, 10-15 years old probably. Our building had a large surge five or six years ago, everything plugged into these units were fine, the units themselves were fine.
Definitely a good piece of mind investment.

Feel 100% Protected during storms...
Glad I selected this product recommended by the sales rep at the electronics store... It has served me well through many storms during the past year...
Had my flatscreen mounted to the wall... so my Tripp Lite
was placed on a small stool on the floor to the side of the fireplace wall where the TV hangs...
It does not look unattractive...had no other choice...

Great American product with customer service to match
We've had this surge suppressor for maybe 20 years or so? It has protected all our computers, printers and phone systems all those years. The toggle switch finally failed and I visited with customer service to see if they could send out another switch. They were excellent, within days I had another 6 ultra at my door, no charge. It is refreshing to have a quality American product with customer service to match. I highly recommend this product and company,

Outstanding product, outstanding value
I own two ISOBAR6ULTRA units: one protects my home theater electronics, and the other protects my (separate) high-end audio equipment. This a very robust product and I have complete faith that it will protect my investment in quality electronics should the occasion arise. The ISOBAR6ULTRA was just what I needed. It mounts neatly and is configured 2x2 so it was the perfect length. The heavy 6 foot cord is great! Solidly built, I am confident that this will offer protection for a long time.

ISOBAR6ULTRA cured my problem.
I had my UVerse gateway plugged into a surge surpressor. I was getting frequent loss of signal. I then plugged the gateway directly into the wall, and most of the problems stopped. Having thus ascertained that the cheap surge surpressor was most of the problem, I researched the most recommended surge surpressor and came up with the ISOBAR which AT&T also recommended. After plugging in my UVerse gateway to the ISOBAR6ULTRA, I had no further issues with my UVerse gateway. Nothing for weeks. Problem fixed!

I have used Tripp Lite battery backup protection for years and have never suffered a problem with the computer equipment plugged into it. I am adding an ISOBARultra6 to protect my big screen and accessories after a lightning strike in the yard took out some very expensive items. You have to protect things beyond the computers like high end electronics including newer washers and dryers. I wouldn't gamble with any lesser brands. Not worth the risk, get the best because you can count on it.

This is my second Tripp Lite surge supressor, the first was an isotel 4ultra it lasted 17 years until the switch wore out. I was using it as an on/off switch for my computer since the one on the case only lasted two years. I look forward to my new one lasting even longer. I would highly recomend Tripp Lite surge suppressors. I plan to buy another one when I upgrade my television.

I have UVerse internet, and my modem kept dropping the signal and rebooting. Since I had it plugged into a surge suppressor, I didn't think it could be a power problem. However, when I replaced the inexpensive surge suppressor with the Tripplite ISOBAR, there were no more episodes of signal loss. I have had the ISOBAR for over six months now, and I have had no more problems. In my experience, this is an excellent product.

Serious Protection at a Reasonable Price
I have 4 of the Tripp-Lite ISOBAR6ULTRA devices protecting all my home computing equipment and my Home Theater system. In service for years with no failures of either the Tripp-Lite devices or any of the components they are protecting. The next time I need surge protection, I'll be selecting another Tripp ISOBAR.

I have been struck by lightning over 30 times in 20yrs. I live on a mountain and have had many strong storms. I have lost many other protectors but none of the Tripp-Lites since I changed to them. I also use one in my business because I needed to protect my laptop when I am in a clients office. I lost a battery charger once in a Dr's office before Tripp-Lite. Many plants I am in have their ground wires wrong and have surges that can destroy my laptop/printer. Trippe-Lite has been 100% there to stop it.

I feel good about the protection the Isobar6ultra gives my electronics.
After a backhoe cut the electrical supply line to my house, surge protectors worked as designed. They were fried, but the electronics were protected. I have no doubt that the Tripp Lite will continue to protect my equipment.

Good product that gives peace of mind.
I use the Isobar 6 Ultra to protect my ham radio gear. I don't want to risk damage to my equipment due to power line problems, should they occur.
While I am not aware of any potentially damaging events, it gives me peace of mind to know that I have maximized my protection by using this item.

isolated outlets are a great feature!
The ISOBAR6ULTRA is a sturdy well made product. It protects against surges as well as offers line noise filtering. I am a guitarist and play clubs where the a/c wiring can be an issue. I have used the ISOBAR6ULTRA in these places with great results. I use vintage tube guitar amps and feel secure with my equipment connected to the ISOBAR6ULTRA.
I really like the isolated outlet setup. I can run my guitar amp on one circuit and my p/a sound system on another circuit and not have to worry about noisy ground loops. The lighted indicators on the unit give me instant status of a/c circuits feeding my equipment.
I most definitely recommend this product to anyone seeking to protect their electric or electronic equipment, especially working musicians.

I have used ISOBAR6ULTRA and "8"s for protection of a variety of systems, including Satellite Uplink transmitter, broadcast audio systems, computer networks so I did not hesitate to use them on my multi-computer home office network and TV sets. I have had lighning strikes on my powerline outside my home, and have never had any of my protected equipment damaged in any way. My suggestion is to buy the 6 or 8 outlet models, as it will leave room for growth of equipment without outboard power strips.

Tripp-Lite NAILED IT on the surge protection!
The isobar 6 ULTRA truly is an indispensable piece of equipment. I haven't hung mine on the walls of my house yet however that is just one of the features I noticed when I flipped it over as it has mounting holes which is useful in high traffic environments or places where less clutter is wanted. I recommend keeping it as close to the ground as possible since it will help in dispersing electrical energy better whenever it absorbs a lightning strike for example, and this is all too common here in Florida so for all you people in lightning prone areas, this one's a keeper. Why? due to it's all metal construction and capability of showing you if your connection is grounded properly or not, which is critical in order to ensure the unit functions as intended, beyond that it helps you to know if you are having electrical problems wherever this unit connects to. Besides that, the cord is very thick and this lends itself to being able to handle high capacity applications better, like a 1000 watt-based computer desktop or high end Plasma TV, both of which I have attached at the same time to this! Today's high-energy consumption devices will benefit from this unit's features and capabilities, making it an ideal fit for business or home use, and I can attest to the money and headaches this unit saves me thanks to the ways in which Tripp-Lite NAILED it on the construction of this indispensable ISOBAR6 ULTRA!

I have owned at least six Isobar-6Ultras over the last 15 years, and wouldn't buy any other! Love the ruggedness, and high joule energy absorption protection that it offers. I still own them, two went red light in 15 yrs. one absorbed a surge from an electrical storm, there was no damage to my electronics. and Triplight replaced both units no charge, the second one I didn't even have to ship back to them! I am a customer for life!

I used the plastic cheap power strips for years which would last maybe 2 years. One would cause a hum from my stereo receiver. I contacted my friends in Electronic Services Division. They all told me to buy Tripp Lite and don't waste your money on the ridiculously expensive competitors. They were absolutely right.
I bought two ISOTEL6ULTRA units, one for my computer equipment and the other for my entertainment center (Plasma TV, Surround System, DVD, PS3). Fantastic build quality and design. Rock solid and built like a tank. I don't turn it off during thunder storms and never had a problem. I won't buy anything else. I replaced my parent's protectors as well.
I strongly recommend Tripp Lite products. You won't be disappointed.

This great product saves my treadmill!
In the past year my eight years old treadmill gave me a weird problem. Every time I started it, my AT &T Uverse (tv, telephone & internet) system would shut down immediately. I tried different tricks (replacing the treadmill motor which was still under warranty, use power line filter, etc.) nothing worked until a friend mentioned about ISOBAR surge suppressor that cured the similar problem he had in his home so I went out and bought one. Bingo! No more interferences. Now I can go back to using the treadmill and watching tv the way I used to enjoy doing. Thanks ISOBAR.

I bought this to replace a surge protector that had incredibly bright lights on it and kept me awake at night. I have seen the Isobar used in businesses for years, so I figured they must be good. I purchased one for myself and when it arrived, it's built like a tank. I could throw this thing across the room and it wouldn't hurt it (not that I would).
I have a Visual Studio 2010/Photoshop CS4 system hooked up into this surge protector and I feel that if there a major storm came through, this would probably explode before my system would ever go down and I'm okay with that. I have personally seen the components inside one of these and everything is properly rated.
I'd definitely buy again and again.

There are other surge suppressors/protecters on the market, and many are from well known name brands, and are less expensive than the ISOBAR. None have the ISOBAR's solid metal housing and construction. I also have experienced first hand the protection capability first hand, when it protected some sensitive and expensive equipment from damage from a surge. The warranty? Also top rate. There may be cheaper Surge Protectors, but unlikely you'll find one better.

I have about four of these that I use to connect my Xmas extensions and figurines. I also use them to connect inside Halloween figurines from AVON. I have never had a problem with them. I strongly recommend these boxes.

My Isobar is built to last and worth every penny.
I have had my Isobars for so long now that I almost forgot I have them. All my sensitive and expensive equipment is plugged into my Isobars. Everything from the construction, top quality materials used to even the cord, my Isobars are still in use. Through power surges and blown transformers, my Isobars have proven they can handle anything.

This device was purchased as a surge protector for the power plug in device used to recharge a Ford CMax Energi. This device worked well for the first
4 months, but started to auto shut down [for no visible reason] and would then restrict the battery charging capability of the charger on the vehicle. The Tripplite was removed and the car started recharging as necessary. The charger on the vehicle is a simple 110V device.

Awesome Customer Service!!!
I bought a Tripp Lite surge protector about 25 years ago. It was expensive at that time. It gave me many years of good service, never failing me though numerous thunderstorms and power interruptions. It finally quit working. I called Customer Service and they promptly sent out this excellent replacement. I'm using it now to protect my entertainment center and haven't had any issues. It appears to be a quality product, much like my old Tripp Lite. I'm expecting many years of reliable service!

built to last, customer friendly
Liked this device so well I installed them in my own home. High priced electronics need protection and this device is affordable and will protect your equipment. Have never seen a failure of computers, tvs, answer machines etc. when plugged into these devices.

I purchased the IsoBar 6 Ultra to help reduce RF noise on my shortwave receiver after reading reviews for it online. The is built like a tank for a power strip, and does everything Tripp Lite says it will, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Good Amateur Radio and Network Power Device
I have two of these units at home - one for the network system and one for the Amateur Radio Station.
Since I was not aware of any surge problems before I installed the device, it is hard to say if it has done anything since being installed.
What I did notice is that the computer/network required fewer re-boots after the device was installed at both the radio desk and at the ADSL modem in the network closet.
I had to make some changes to one of the devices to satisfy my needs in a moderate-power radio-frequency energy field. The first thing I did was take it apart to see if internal grounding was present and to take a look at the quality of construction. I was pleased to find a one-way screw attaching the ground lug to the case and that the connection point had been masked off to provide a bare metal contact. All parts appear to be high-quality items and the workmanship is good. No bad solder joints, flux residue or wiring connections improperly terminated were found.
On one unit, I had to bend one mounting flange outwards 90-degrees to make a bonding connection to my ground buss under the radio desk. I would have liked the unit better if the mounting flanges were bent out, rather than bent behind the box, or had an external ground lug so I could attach a strap to my ground buss from there. This is the ONLY reason I did not give it 5 stars.
Also, the right-angle plug has a body diameter that makes it difficult to get a bunch of turns through a ferrite choke. This really isn't a product issue, as I later determined that the ferrite toroids do a much better job of suppressing common-mode radio frequency interference when they are placed as close to the equipment as possible.
The best part about this device is it will clamp a voltage to a level that probably won't damage equipment...say 140 VAC or so. That was the single most important number I was looking for in a surge protective device.

Saved my Comcast VOIP phone
I had new VOIP digital phone from Comcast installed in my home but it kept dropping calls and just wasn't working. I had Comcast come out to investigate and they say line out side home fine but somewhere in the house statics is causing weak phone reception. Comcast could not fine the problem because the house is fully dry walled with no access the wiring. I was going to tell Comcast to remove the phone when I was ad on ISOBAR6ULTRA online and decided to try it. Needless to say the ISOBAR6ULTRA solved the problem instantly, no more static or drop calls. I brought 2 more and installed for two HDTV's and picture never better. I can't say enough about these Tripp-Lite products there great , best investigate I made in years.

The Tripp-Lite surge protectors are in my opinion the best and most robust you can get within the price range. The plugs are 90 degree angle plugs (like a fridge uses) allowing for cleaner installs. Both of my protectors are mounted on either side of my studio and plug in behind bookshelves. The 90 degree angle plugs allow the bookshelves to remain close to the wall. I have my protectors mounted about 3-1/2 feet off of the wall so I can easily turn the protectors off after each session since amps still pull power when they are off. These surge protectors also work very well with music equipment due to the filtering and isolation inside the protectors. My equipment doesn't hiss and hum as much (if any at all) as it would with other protectors. That alone is priceless when recording. All in all, you can't go wrong with Tripp-Lite surge protectors. They are overbuilt and the warranty is the best you can get. Just don't forget to fill out the warranty information online. I have thousands of dollars worth of equipment plugged into my protectors so I will definitely take Tripp-Lite up on their warranty if anything were to go wrong. I highly doubt I will have to use the warranty though. These protectors are built like a tank.

I finally bought a trip lite to protect my home entertainment center. I've had other brands but never felt completely safe with them. I will soon buy one for my computer system so I can get peace of mind for that system too. Great product, well made in USA.

Top notch gear for a gigging musician!
After extensive research, I decided on this particular product from Tripp Lite. What I found is that most units sold to musicians as "power conditioners" are truly glorified surge protectors, and often not even good for that use. Tripp Lite came heavily recommended from some very picky colleagues. Pricewise, it beat out any other remotely similar product. This thing is built like a tank - fits perfectly into my amplifier's road case. Easily handles the power and protection requirements for my amp and effects pedal power supply. As I often play venues with questionable electrical supplies, this Isobar 6 could not be more perfect.

Did not expect it to interfere with Audio Equipment
After reading all the rave reviews about this product, I purchased it to be used with a few high end audio components: Two speakers (with built in Class D amplification) and a DAC. I purchased everything new and after plugging in the components I began to hear an electrical hiss / hum that would fade in and out, and it began to grow louder over a week or two. Sometimes it would be barely audible, other times it would be audible, but after shutting down the power source (at the power strip), turning everything back on, the sound would be gone. But it would reappear. One evening, I turned on the system and I heard an unbearably loud electrical crackling out of both speakers instead of music, and they both flashed orange signifying an error. I shut everything down. Restarted, and the same thing. I left things alone overnight shut off. The next morning, The same hiss, and later, that loud crackle with an error. After trial and error, combination and even a warranty replacement of the DAC which was initially suspected as the culprit since both speakers were giving an error at the same time, we did the only thing we hadn't done at the outset which was suspect the power strip and removed it from the equation. Plugged in the system components into the wall outlets, and it has been functioning without an issue ever since. Of course, the question becomes, whether I have tried another power strip, the answer is that I haven't -- sort of leaving well enough alone. What the A/V technician and I could surmise was that there was an electrical leak from the power strip which was bleeding into the signal over the Powerlink (CAT7) speaker cables running from the DAC to the speakers and causing the errors. As for the bottom line, I am hoping that I got a lemon, but from my experience with this particular model, I would have to not recommend it. (See my other review for the 4 port model)

A necessary piece of kit for the working musician
Once you realize that most "power conditiners" are simply well marketed power strips, you need to check out Tripp Lite. The quality of build, combined with real power regulation, and an equipment gurantee make this a no-brainer.

I would indeed buy this product again, and plan to do so.
Extremely well-built and engineered; provides the quality assurance that all devices from which it is connect, are secured from electrical surges, in addition to the signal isolation provided at each outlet.
Product secures multiple pieces of high-end computer equipment and technology and needed a quality product for stable "noise" control and surge protection.

Our business had 2 of these units that failed to protect us
We had two computers supposedly protected by these units and they failed to prevent damage to the towers during a lightning storm. If the company contacts me and helps me with the cost of repairs to our equipment I'll change my review otherwise it is NO STARS if I could!

I have used Tripp-Lite Isobar and Isotel Ultra products for over thirty years both at work and at home. I have never been disappointed in their protection and performance. They have stopped lightning spikes and crossed electrical supply line surges. I trust Trip-Lite products.

I purchased the Tripp Lite surge protector to protect two computers and a DSL modem. It is sturdy
in a metal housing. I like the line fault and protection present LED. I noticed right away that it
filtered the RFI line noise I experienced on the computers. I am pleased with the Tripp Lite

Appears well made. Functions perfectly. In use 3 weeks.
I needed something to protect my amateur radio repeater power supply and other sensitive equipment. This unit is well made and functions perfectly. In service for only 3 weeks. Time will tell how it functions under any type of Edison anomalies. Rated at only 4 stars because I've yet to experience an Edison problem. I like the metal enclosure.

Nice sturdy metal enclosure, a good value for the price
I like the fact that it is housed in a sturdy metal enclosure and diagnostic LED's to indicate faults. That lets you know at a glance that it is working right, and also that your wall outlet is wired correctly.
Comes with AC outlet covers to keep dust and unwanted objects out of unused outlets.

A rugged and reliaible surge protector.
My TRIPPLITE 6-outlet surge protector of at least ten years was exhibiting a subtle buzzing sound. I contacted TRIPPLITE and instead of offering a repair they sent me a new unit (and latest version) of that model. I'm very happy with the product and even happier with the TRIPPLITE service.

Top-Notch Excellent Service!
The power switch on one of my 17-year old Isobar surge protectors failed recently and Tripp-Lite replaced it with no questions and no cost at all within just a couple of days. All I had to do was to give them the model number and serial number. In this day and age, no one can ask for better service than this. Tripp-Lite is really a FIRST CLASS company, REALLY!

Only been using this for 3 weeks, Nice to have the LED lights to see that all is well. Built very tough, this is protecting my Desktop computer and Monitor. Priced right, too. My budget didn't allow for a UPS or line Conditioner..but I am very happy with this compromise purchase. Tripp-Lite is the only brand I'll consider.

Enterprise-Class Protection in a Solid Case
This product is fantastic. In addition to the old-school engineering look, the unit is extremely durable, and sits raised above whatever surface it is placed on (if placed face-side/switch-side up). The fault lite does in fact indicate supply issues, as I can attest based on my own power woes. Outlets seem generously spaced, but I still bought extenders to make it easier to mount transformer wall-warts. Flat right-angle plug is a nice touch, but be aware that this can be a nuisance if not planned for ahead-of-time (e.g tight spaces with low receptacles). I plan to buy a few more of these!

Best "peace of mind" buy for my electronics!

The best surge protector and line filter at reasonable price
I have 3 of these surge protectors: one on a home office feeding 2 printers, a desk lamp, a shredder and sound speakers. Another one on a fish tank setup connecting light, water filter, UV filter and a wine cooler; and the other is in my garage feeding an auxiliary fridge and an horizontal freezer, along with a garage vacuum that gets plugged there sometimes and battery charger. Since we're using this products, every time the printer starts or the fridge's compressor runs, we don't see the house lights flicker or the circuit breakers jumping.
I started with one and bought more once I observed their performance.
I have a single point that I would like changed on this models. The fact that the sockets are so close to each other limits the use of bigger power plugs or products with power converters without wasting a plug. Other than that, I'll keep using these.

Excellent Protection For Electronic Devices
I have used Tripp-Lite ISOBAR6ULTRA surge protectors to protect my computers and electronic gear for at least 20 years and have never had an issue. These surge protectors are physically well designed and the surge protection is top of the line. Also, the status indicator lights are very useful when troubleshooting power issues.

Probably the bes surge protector around that isn't a battery backup. I say probably because it hasn't had to do it's job yet. I have a six and a four outlet and both were easily mounted and functioning very well.

Tripp•Lite The ONLY surge protection I'll own!!!
I've converted all our surge protectors and trust only Tripp•Lite to protect all 8 of our T.V.'s! I have such piece-of-mind knowing anything thats plugged into these outlets will be securely protected, operate at their maximum potential while also at optimal efficiency. I use these protected outlets for EVERYTHING from our 60" screen and Onkyo A/V unit to our Samsung S8+ phone chargers. Top of the line Company and products. There is no other choice! ?????

Prestigious Brand - Network reliability
I think Tripplite is a great brand for surge protection , when I was doing all the structured media in my newly constructed "smart home " , I wouldn't use anything but Tripp lite in my data panel. Solid metal and professional construction , not to mention the insurance offered with the product. I haven't had any problems with any of my products but I hear the customer service is outstanding. Will defiantly buy again .

i had a old serge protector i did not know after a long time the protection goes away and my surround Equipment got hit by lighting and mess it up and then i looked online and bought me a Tripp-Lite Isobar6ultra surge protector and when i have lighting storm my surround Equipment has not been messed up no more and it is safe now!

I just bought a 65" Samsung flat panel and needed updated protection for it and a few other components, including a massive 40 year old Onkyo receiver. I bought the TrippLite to replace an old well-known name brand home theater power center that I could no longer be confident was still working properly. Wow, what a difference. Plastic construction versus heavy duty metal housing and a much higher confidence factor. Looking forward to my first spring thunder boomer! No sense reviewing the features here, just check out the spec sheet and know that you'll be happy with a substantial piece of equipment to protect your gear.

What a great product, company and Customer Service!
20 years ago I bought this unit to protect my computer equipment from voltage spikes, lightning. I paid a little more than products offered by other manufacturers, but looking at it, holding it in my hands, feeling its weight, I immediately saw that this is highest quality, made to last. It hasn't disappointed me. When it finally developed a minor short in On-Off switch (unit was still perfectly functional) after 20 years, I called Customer Service, and they instantly issued me a whole new unit without any questions. Not only that, but it arrived free of charge, UPS shipping paid, on my doorstep in about 4 days! Those guys are great. I will always consider using Tripp Lite company for any of my electronic needs in the future, and I tell others about what a great product the Isotel Ultra 6-outlet Surge Suppressor has been for me.

An extension cord is not a surge protector!
Many so called surge protectors are minimally effective. Look at Tripp Lite's guarantee and compare it to others. If you have a shop, don't forget to protect any equipment that has modern (often vulnerable) electrical components.

Protects musical equiptment
It protects expensive and treasured guitar amplifiers from surges and line noise (fluorescent lighting fixtures, etc.). Having a reliable breaker at beginning of power chain (before the amps own slo-blo fuse) adds a layer of needed protection. Amplifiers are high amp/volt devices and esp. susceptible to line noise.

good surge protector and cuts off EMI/EMF emissions
very effective and adequate for my need. Also does not contaminate source line from emi/emf emissions connected to the isobar(IE. caused by PCs, laptops, and digital equipments). very useful for me as I am a EMF sensitive person. It helps alleviate EMF issues in the house.

ISOBAR - STRONG AND RELIABLE
I have several of these products within my home. Of course there is the workbench, where I can easily monitor the status of the unit while operating power tools. The Isobar gives me assurance as it minimizes radio frequency interference for other electronic equipment and protecting what I have connected to it. Other Isobars are located in rooms of my home where entertainment devices are located, as well as my computers. This really is an Isobar world. The reason why I use only Isobars is that there are tons of power surges and lots of radio frequency interference caused by nearby high-tension power lines, and lots of lightening strikes in my area. Isobar design and construction is unmatched!

I can't believe this model is still being made. I literally got mine from my dad in 1998 when his office was outsourced. He decided to "accidentally" take one home so it was already used in an office before I even got it

I've been a Tripp Lite Isobar user for the last 22 years. I use them with computer and A/V equipment exclusively. I feel you can get nothing of better quality. And depending on the model you buy, you can get longer cable lengths which is a huge plus!
Thanks Tripp-Lite for protecting my equipment for over two decades!

I now have 4 of these to protect my valuable electronics
I bought this Tripp-Lite Isobar 6 outlet protector to power my new laser etchng machine. Was working great until my air compressor kicked in an blew up the surge protector. My bad...didnt realize how much current the AC was drawing. But surge protector DID protect my very expensive laser. Got a new surge in a week.

I have bought this product multiple times.
So much better (higher capacity, better design) than the cheap plastic ones in home improvement stores!

I bought two of the Isobar 6 outlet surge protectors, I like that they are metal not plastic, they are compact and easy to place anywhere. I would buy them again . I have one for my computer and one for my TV. Thanks for a great product.
