    Can't use 3/4
This item can't be used with 3/4" labels. I needed to print some names for nametags and didn't realize until it was time to use it that I could only use the smaller size labels. It's great that it can print any font with your computer which is why I bought it. Bad that other products don't do the same that use the 3/4" labels I need.

Super Mac Friendly - 4.5 Stars
I do a lot of research before I make most purchases, especially when I need them to work well with my Mac. This labeler was the perfect fit because: • it works beautifully with my Mac • does not require a power source • is lightweight, fast and quiet • variety of label material • able to use my favorite fonts I would like to see the ability to save different label settings in a future software update. Very happy!

I liked it, now I need to replace the battery...
I ordered the LabelManger PnP in February 2015 along with labels, but didn't use the unit until September 2015 when I discovered that the labels that I purchased were not for this unit. Beware that not everything that says "D1" is for this label maker. Although that's what is stamped inside of the machine, that is not the model number. Look for LabelManager PnP labels.\
On to the labels... it took several attempts to figure out how to print from an Excel spreadsheet, but I finally nailed it down. I love not having to manually enter each label, but I was not expecting it to be so complicated. I couldn't explain the process to someone else if I tried. Oh, and one thing I haven't figured out is printing multiple times from the same file. If you are in Import Data and Print, once you hit print, you have to go into Import Data and Print again if there are other labels that you needed to print on a different color tape, for example. The Import window closes and you have to start again.\
And, then there's the battery... In August 2016, my unit stopped working. I tried a new USB cord and a new USB port. Then, I read the reviews and started to hunt for a battery. The rechargeable battery is listed at approximately 50-60% of the cost of the printer.\
In retrospect, it was not the wisest label printer choice I could have made. Now to decide if I should buy a new label maker or buy a battery. Dymo, is there a way to make the battery last longer than 1 year?

    Frustration and Heartburn
This thing never works when you plug it in. It pops up goes away pops up again you click the software, a 30 second job turns in to 2 hours of googling. I could print labels faster with a hammer and chisel.

DO NOT BUY - BATTERY ISSUE
I have barely used this device but the expensive proprietary battery is dead. Also the device intermittently shows up and then disappears, probably battery related again. Nice overall concept, really poor, poor engineering. I will never buy another product from this company it's a waste of money

    Mac user? look elsewhere.
Lablemaker lite, the included software will not let you type in the app. click in the box on the table all day long, hit a button on the keyboard and Ding! Ding! Ding! just the system error tone with no text. Oh but wait they have the full version available for download... don't get your hopes up. it can't find my brand new labelmanager p2p that is connected to the USB port. the same one the lite version finds fine. id love to print labels, but will not reboot to windows just for that. Fix your software or remove Macs from your list of supported machines Dymo! quit wasting our time and money!

Wireless printer no accessible from mobile app.
What's the point of a portable battery powered networkable printer if I have to take my computer with me to use it? \
    \
Why have a mobile application that cannot access all of your networkable printers? \
    \
There are plenty of mobile applications for printing on wireless and wired network printers out there...  Maybe try doing what everyone else is doing?

    Bad Battery
The unit worked well initially and I was very happy with it.  The poor ratingId is due to battery issues.  After 2 years, 9 months of ownership the battery would not take a charge, rendering the unit worthless.  The battery failure was with light usage.  I only used the LabelManager PnP a few times.  I was only on my second label cassette, the cassette that came with the unit and then a 23' roll, when the battery failed.  Based on the extent of posted reviews that cite battery issues, it appears that the battery is the Achilles heel of the LabelManager PnP.  Purchasing a new battery is prohibitively expensive to compared the cost of the LabelManager PnP.  Dymo needs to provide a high quality battery or replace the battery with a plug for a 7.5VDC adapter.  I plan to modify my LabelManager PnP to power it from an external 7.5VDC adapter

Terrible product due to battery design
I had this label maker for about a year when the battery went bad. As others have mentioned once the battery fails you are out of luck unless you want to pay an unreasonable amount for a new battery.  Even if you follow the battery care instructions it will fail in too short of a time.  Should have been designed to accept disposable batteries or an alternate plug in power source.  Bad enough that the labels cost so much but now I have to pay for a battery if I want to keep using the product.
