I love this product for all types of use. The kids use it to repair papers as well as for hanging them up on the wall. It dispenses well from the tape dispenser. It works great for craft projects and homework projects. It disappears on most of the papers we use at home.

The only brand tape I will buy and use!
In the past, I have bought other tape brands, to my disappointment, they would not do as promised or as stated on the package. Scotch will stick when others won't. I once had to use it to keep my cell phone held together so it would work. My cell phone worked after I used the Scoth tape on it. I could never say that about the other so called invisible tapes, non Scotch brand.
When Scotch says that it is invisible on paper, that is something I know for a fact. The other brands say they are invisible and yet when you use them to wrap a birthday or any package, they show up more than the paper that the gift is in. They are also shiny and shine more than the sparkly bows on the package.
These are a couple of reasons I give Scotch Magic Tape a ratingId of 5 stars. I would have given it more, had there been more. And as far as the future, I will always turn to Scotch for all my tape needs.

I use scotch magic tape daily and i love its easy and strong hold on my envelopes and art projects.Its the only tape that i will use, My very favorite scotch magic tape is excellent!Its invisible tape so when i do my art and craft projects there is no line / tape showing but at the same time i can easily see the tape on the roll but not on the work.

I always have Magic Tape in my home. The biggest users, are my grandchilden to make projects. If there is an empty box, it becomes a project. They have made horse correls, art from plastic silverware using the tape to hold it together, to tape up pictures and notes, etc. It's also used used for gift wrapping. You can write on magic tape and mend papers and pages in books.

Scotch brand magic tape is the only tape I use. I like it because it is wider than normal tape and because I can write on it. It is definately the best tape on the market. Scotch brand magic tape has been my choice for many years, possibly since it first came on the market. Being able to write on it is so helpful, as is the extra width. That makes it so much more useful.
Below is the question where did I purchase it. Since I have been using it exclusively for years, I purchase it wherever I am when I need more.

This tape is always used in our household to wrap gifts at Christmas, birthdays, and other special occasions. When applied, it holds well and is very hard to see. Over the years, this tape is the first choice of our children for various school projects, photo albums and scrapbooks because it lasts and is nearly invisible. We would never buy anything else. Basically, we take it for granted.

My 11 year old son, Tanner loves your Scotch tape. Your Scotch tape keeps him busy all winter long. Tanner builds think out of carboard like skate ramps and tunnels for his cars. Let me tell you he sure goes through a lot of tape! We always buy him Scotch tape for Christmas!!

I have used Scotch brand Magic tape for years! It is the only tape I buy and can't imagine wrapping a gift without it. It disappears on wrapping paper making my wrap job look neat and always holds well. It even holds up when my kids are trying to peek at their Christmas or birthday gifts! Magic tape is the only tape you will find in my home.

When it comes to making sure things stay in place, Scotch brand is the absolute tops. I've tried using cheaper brands, but they don't alway stay. I end up using twice as much therefore I haven't saved anything. In fact I've lost time by having to do everything twice with that cheap stuff.

The magic tape is the best!
I only use scotch brand magic tape for my christmas presents! It is the best tape, as it is almost invisible, and if you need to take it off a package, you can peel it off and it wont hurt the paper! Great product from a great company!

I purchased Scotch Magic Tape purely as a substitute because my normal store brand was out of stock. I purchased the tape to use for wrapping presents for the holidays. I quickly found that the Scotch magic tape was of better quality. The tape came off of the roll as one piece instead of sometimes tearing into several smaller pieces. Smaller pieces could be used intead of long strips of the store brand when wrapping because of the quality (stickiness/holding ability). I will recommend this to others now.

The Product last Generations
Far back as i can remember the tape that has been in my house was Scotch.I asked my Parents if thats what they remember.And the Answer was yes.So i would give my vote for the best tape in the world for Birth days Christmas or any other special Day.Let scotch tape lead the way.

I really like this tape. When I wrap presents I always use Scotch Magic tape. It is so much better than any of those cheap brands. They say you get what you pay for and when you're using this tape, you can tell it is of a higher quality. It adheres so nicely to everything you use it for. I also like that it is almost invisable and makes everything look just so much nicer.

Scotch Magic Tape is the only transparent tape I use in my home. It is great for so many household uses. Not only for gift wrapping but also for holding things together when they are glued. It is what I use for hanging greeting cards on the walls or door frames or just about any place. I keep a roll on my kitchen table, in my desk, on my computer desk and in several miscellaneous drawers. There is even one in my dresser.

After trying to buy the imitators several times(and they FAIL) I just wrapped presents using Scotch tape. These gifts were important and had to look "pretty" for my son's first "crush"..I realized no other tape compares. Perfect for gift wrapping in a rush! You are not fighting with the tape to come off the rolll, your own fingers and the dispenser does not crack like cheaper made versions. It is still my favorite tape!

This tape has been around for a long time its the best on the market from what I have used. I like this tape because it is clear it doesn't show where you put it that makes really good sense who wants a tape you can see to me this would look really messy. This tape has just the right amount of stickyness to it it is easy to apply and use I would give this tape an A+ it never lets me down. Whatever the cost it is well worth ityou get exactly what you pay for the best.

I just love this tape. It's easy to use. You can't see it after you tape something. I do expenses for about 6 people at my company and I need to tape down the receipts, then make copies and send for reimbursement. After they are taped, they run through the copier with ease. And you don;t see allof the lines onthe copies like some other types of tape. I also use this at home for every all sorts of stuff. Like taping ripped pages from my 2 year old grand son. wrapping gifts, taping up decorations. You name it. I just love this stuff

THIS IS A TRUE STORY THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN THE LAST TWO DAYS; I WAS BEGINNING TO WRAP SOME CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR THE GRANDCHILDREN AND RAN OUT OF MY SCOTCH TAPE. I love using the Scotch brand magic tape. It gets the job done when I need it most. I can remember using the magic tape to put up a variety of posters on my bedroom wall. It was very clean looking due to the invisibility factor. I had quite a good time decoratingId my walls and using this tape made it all possible.

Scotch Magic Tape is Magic
We use scotch magic tape at work all the time that is all we order. Because we tried ordering other tape and it would stick together and you could never get it apart or find the end. We have one girl in the office that is crazy about tape. She tapes up everything. She goes through tape like no other. Don't get me wrong she is a very organized worker, but she has a fastination with tape. We love your product and hope you keep making it.

I love this tape. I use it almost everyday and especially during the holiday season. It is the best. It comes off the roll easily and when it sticks to itself you can take it apart easily. Also will come off gift wrap neatly if needed. My favorite brand!!

My experience with magic tape
I have always had an excellant time with magic tape. There has never been a problem with it doing anything its suppose to. It always comes right off the dispenser just the way it should. I never have to use alot when I'm wrapping gifts which is a good thing because in our house stuff is just ripped open. I love the way it doesn't show so it looks like your project is held together by magic. Magic tape is super easy to use and i would recommend it to anyone who needs to purchase project friendly tape.

I am very pleased with this tape. I have use this tape since I was in my teens. I never use any other brand. I always have excellent results when wrapping gifts and boxes in general. The dispenser is very handy and always safe and sharp enough to cut where you wanted to cut.

My self and every member of my household without fail always reach for the scotch brand because whether it's for something as simple as keeping an envelope or opened package closed we know if it's scotch tape we don't have to check back later to see if it's still closed or not, and yes we have tried other brands some less expensive and some more expensive but there is always some issue with the others such as it either won't tear because its too thick or too flimsy or will tear but raggedly or there isn't enough stick to it and the package that you have taped will open after the glue wears off the tape, with scotch we know what we are getting so we will always grab the scotch over the others.

Scotch Magic Tape is the best
In my memories all my life we have used Scotch tape. The magic is great. You can see it on the roll, but not on the package. So your package looks so nice and clean.

Scotch Magic Tape Usefulness
I have found Scotch Magic Tape to be extremely useful around the home and office. It has fixed almost every problem I run into on a daily basis from a torn form to putting up a poster on a wall. This tape is extremely durable and is barely noticeable on whatever it is applied to. I would most certainly recommend its use.

I always use Scotch Magic Tape for EVERYTHING in my home. It is dependable, doesn't tear paper if needed removing, and "disappears". I buy several multi-roll packs for my child's teacher at the beginning of the school year. I can't go wrong with this teacher gift!!

Is it possible that there is someone in the world here in the 21st century who is unfamiliar with this stuff and really needs a review to help them decide if they want to buy it? Scotch Magic Tape is the one with the matte finish that you can write on. Once applied, the frosted finish is virtually invisible.
You get three disposable dispensers of 3/4 inch tape, each 300 inches long. The dispensers appear to be single-use. They are completely open on one side but I don't think they can be refilled. This could be viewed as packaging-intensive and eco-unfriendly. If such matters concern you, you may want to invest in a permanent desk dispenser and refill rolls as that option would involve less plastic waste.
When applying, as long as you keep one end of the tape off of of the surface you're sticking it to, you can remove it without difficulty. But once you've pressed the entire piece of tape down firmly, it's permanent and essentially un-removable. It will shred and tear if you try. Likewise, if the tape gets free of the cutting edge of the dispenser and sticks itself flat to the roll, you're doomed.

I usually buy the 3/4 inch wide tape. It always performs well and I use it for everything from sealing envelopes, taping papers, and crafting. I also have a large family and use it for all my wrapping. I like that it is usually fairly removable, too, if I do need to move the tape.

Over the years I have grabbed other brands of tape off of the store shelf, thinking how much difference can it make. Well I have figured out that it does make a difference, Scotch Magic Tape is really superior to the cheapie brands out there. I say just do it right the first time and keep Scotch brand products at home and be done with it.

It Disappears like Magic!!
I love the fact that once applied to just about anything it seems to disappear. But even then I can write on the tape using pencil, pen, permanent marker, etc. I use this tape for almost everything in my house...to date my freezer items, to put my name on my potluck dishes, you name it. I won't buy any other tape...period.

Scotch Magic Tape, is, well just like the name says, magic. It it great for use all around the house or office. Plus you can write on it. Works great for labeling kids items as well as refrigerated foods.

Scotch is my go-to tape for most occasions but specially when it comes to the holidays or other festivities! I probably have 6 rolls in my craft drawer ready for when I have to wrap any sort of present!

I opened three roles of this tape today and all three of them tore at an angle which rendered the tape useless. I dug at it with my fingernail and it just kept tearing at an angle.

I am a long time user and had a bit of a suprize when I started my last roll. Suprise, it was wound backward. In other words, when I want to cut the tape, I can do it the normal way, but I need to bring it up to the top of the dispenser. Of course it sticks the way it should when I use it.

I can't possibly be the only person who loves feeling/scratching Scotch Magic Tape. I have had an obsession with it for at least 40 years. Besides being the best quality tape out there, it just feels so nice. I even make worry stones" by layering several pieces of tape into a thick, flexible thingamajig to carry around with me. Do you think I should I see someone about this? :)

You finally had it good for a long time, and then you go and mess it up, typical. the actual tape is as good as it ever was, its just awkward to use now.

I have used Scotch brand tapes for 40+ years. I love the quality they provide, but my favorite is the Magic tape. I use it for all my gifting. I love to buy presents for others and Magic tape allows me to provide the most beautiful packaging! Please keep up the good work and never, ever stop making this product!

Who destroyed this product?
I hope these are actually seen by the "right" people who can respond. The owners of this company need to know someone changed this product with negative consequences. Tape now resembles cheap dollar knock offs of what used to be a great product. Simple handle and you can feel the loss of substantive materials. No body, too easy to stretch and twist. Heartbroken person looking for a replacement product. You used to be the best.

Nothing magic about the magic tape!
I work in a school with 3000 students where we use a lot of 3M products. We've always been happy about the quality up till now. Without a dispenser it is impossible to get hold on the tape even when it's a new roll. The green lit doesn't come off easy.... Many colleagues get frustrated about it. So now we've bought dispensers but with our fingernails we can't get a grip on the tape. I decided to take some of them back home for the weekend. Today I succeeded in putting 8 rolls on a dispenser (in 32 minutes yeah!) using a potato knive to loosen the tape. I had to throw a lot of tape in the bin though before getting result. I wonder if the employees at 3M use this tape? I can't imagine anyone finding this tape easy to handle. I would love to see an instruction video. :-))) Please change this tape into magic because this one is not good for the image of 3M!

I have been purchasing your Magic Tape for many years but the recent 3 packs I have purchased I have not been able to use, unfortunately. You cannot use the green strip (if the roll has one) to start the tape as it splits into many strips and you certainly cannot find the end. What has happened? Is the tape thinner than it used to be? Has the manufacturer changed? I await your reply asap. Thank You.

splits and peels! Two rolls in the same pack, same
I bought a multipack of this magic tape. UGH. The first roll was ok. The 2nd roll began splitting and peeling after I'd only used it a couple times. I find the end, try to use it, but it immediately tapers to a thin strand and then splits off. YES I am using a good dispenser, into which this is inserted properly. Figured I had a bad roll, took out another roll. SAME PROBLEM!

Have been using for over 60 years and Scotch Brand Tape has never let\
me down. My 12 yr. old Grandson recently ripped the crotch of his jeans at a Fair and repaired the tear with Scotch Brand tape and much to our astonishment the repair lasted for over an hour! Great stuff!

Scotch tape is so reliable weather I am wrapping Christmas gifts or sending back a Christmas gift with Scotch packing tape. I never have to worry about if it will hold or come apart before it get to it’s destination ...my grandchildren use all kinds of Scotch tape when crafting at my house ....

Always use Scotch tape at Christmas time for gift wrapping. I have found I can depend on it to stick where some of the other brands will not hold wrap together.

I have been using this for YEARS in home/shool office and pretty much everywhere in between. Purchased a 10 pack, maybe 8 months ago. Used 2 rolls then, and no need since then. HOWEVER, now I cannot use any of the remaining rolls. \

I place roll on support/spinner thingie & into dispenser. Then begins to roll off to one side (getting thinner and thinner), as i'm pulling a piece off. Even if I catch the end before it sticks, it starts right up again, getting thinner until eventually not pulling tape anymore.\
\
I have tried: scissors, flat razor, knife anything & everything to get started again. I usually hafta use scissors to cut throught about 10-20 layers, to start a new end. I am now on the last roll in the 10-pack. I've ended up tossing over HALF of product. I was hoping it would be just some goofy issues for that batch, but seems unlikely as I haven't seen many others with same issue. \

Definitely not buying scotch brand tape again.

Sticks ok but hard to stay peeled on roll.
I have bought 3M products over the years and have been satisfied overall. Always thought their products were high quality. This Magic tape roll is too thin and cheap. It does not stay peeled on the roll and it makes it extremely difficult to start a new tape strip peel. After taking a piece of tape off it sometimes it doesn't rip off correctly and it sticks on the roll making it hard to start a new tape strip. If it was just a little bit thicker and stronger it would be better. I do not recommend this cheaply made thin tape. I will have to find another quality brand.
