I love this product for all types of use. The kids use it to repair papers as well as for hanging them up on the wall. It dispenses well from the tape dispenser. It works great for craft projects and homework projects. It disappears on most of the papers we use at home.

Really enjoyed how easily it came off the roll. True to what it claimes and does really smooth out to invisible. Holds really well and very useful for any basic taping needs.

The only brand tape I will buy and use!
In the past, I have bought other tape brands, to my disappointment, they would not do as promised or as stated on the package. Scotch will stick when others won't. I once had to use it to keep my cell phone held together so it would work. My cell phone worked after I used the Scoth tape on it. I could never say that about the other so called invisible tapes, non Scotch brand.
When Scotch says that it is invisible on paper, that is something I know for a fact. The other brands say they are invisible and yet when you use them to wrap a birthday or any package, they show up more than the paper that the gift is in. They are also shiny and shine more than the sparkly bows on the package.
These are a couple of reasons I give Scotch Magic Tape a ratingId of 5 stars. I would have given it more, had there been more. And as far as the future, I will always turn to Scotch for all my tape needs.

I have used Scotch Tape since I was a child. Scotch Magic Tape is the best. It is invisible on most papers. The tape is substantial and does not tear when you don't want it to. The quality of the tape has remained high over the years. The dispenser is easy to use. I much prefer this tape to the glossy tape. It does not seem to yellow over time. I find it superior to other matte-finish tapes on the market.

I use scotch magic tape daily and i love its easy and strong hold on my envelopes and art projects.Its the only tape that i will use, My very favorite scotch magic tape is excellent!Its invisible tape so when i do my art and craft projects there is no line / tape showing but at the same time i can easily see the tape on the roll but not on the work.

I always have Magic Tape in my home. The biggest users, are my grandchilden to make projects. If there is an empty box, it becomes a project. They have made horse correls, art from plastic silverware using the tape to hold it together, to tape up pictures and notes, etc. It's also used used for gift wrapping. You can write on magic tape and mend papers and pages in books.

I love to wrap presents, and I want them to look very pretty. The matte finished makes the tape disappear, and lets the pretty wrapping paper show through. Just beautiful!

I have been using magic tape for years now but just found a great use this last weekend. I have used it to tie up my cords like the tv cord to the dvd cord. It stays put and also does not look bad. it neats using zip ties that are very visable. I have even used it agaist a white wall and love that you are not able to see the tape.

Excellent in value and will come off the roll without twisting and bunching up, the cutter will actually cut the tape so you don't have to have extra hands or a pair of scissors on hand.

We buy nothing else in this household. I love this tape. You can't see it when its on packages and it sticks very well. I tryed no brands before and it didn't take long to come back to Scotch tape. You only have to use a little it goes a long way.

Love Scotch brand tape!!!
This is the only tape that I will use!!! Whether it's wrapping presents or fixing a ripped page in a book - the tape always goes on easily and disappears so you can't even tell where the tape was put. Cheaper tape tends to fold over on itself - once that happens, you can't ever get it apart again!!! That doesn't happen with this tape. It's great!!!

One reason that I like buying this tape is that the cutting edge of the dispenser is sharp enough to cut the tape without a struggle. The tape itself sticks very well. Appearance wise, the tape does not stand out by being shiny. I have inadvertently kept a roll or two from one Christmas to the next. The tape does not become brittle, but is a good as new. With all having been said, this tape is a very good value for the price.

I have tried using a cheaper brand but have come to realize this tape comes off the roll just like it is supposed to, slowly enough not to get a huge piece that you throw away and then have to cut another piece. I've learned, stick with what works.

The Product last Generations
Far back as i can remember the tape that has been in my house was Scotch.I asked my Parents if thats what they remember.And the Answer was yes.So i would give my vote for the best tape in the world for Birth days Christmas or any other special Day.Let scotch tape lead the way.

I really like this tape. When I wrap presents I always use Scotch Magic tape. It is so much better than any of those cheap brands. They say you get what you pay for and when you're using this tape, you can tell it is of a higher quality. It adheres so nicely to everything you use it for. I also like that it is almost invisable and makes everything look just so much nicer.

I have tried all kinds of tape, and I keep going back to scotch magic tape! I love it, and go thru it like candy! I would never buy any other tape. I always works well, my my small business needs and personal home needs. From wrapping presents to taping up projects of my small kids. I always have a role in my car, purse, office, kitchen drawer, and bedside table. As soon as one is missing, it's time for a shopping trip!

Scotch Magic Tape is the only transparent tape I use in my home. It is great for so many household uses. Not only for gift wrapping but also for holding things together when they are glued. It is what I use for hanging greeting cards on the walls or door frames or just about any place. I keep a roll on my kitchen table, in my desk, on my computer desk and in several miscellaneous drawers. There is even one in my dresser.

Scotch tape is the BEST tape to buy!
I would rate scotch brand name tape as the BEST to buy and use! I also like the dispenser provided with the tape because it makes it easier to dispense the tape and handle it instead of getting the tape stuck on your fingers. The cost is always worth it because the tape is so strong; it adhears to any surface and holds better than the tape from the local drugstore which doesn't last very long.

Call me picky, but whether it's wrapping a gift for a special person in my life, or just repairing a tear on a page in a book, Scotch Magic tape is the only tape I will use. It has a nice weight, and "disappears" when applied to whatever I'm taping.

I use Scotch Magic Tape for almost everything. I always keep a few rolls handy. A couple around the house, one in my work bag, one with my craft supplies, and one in our home office. The magic tape is easy for me to see when I'm working with it, but invisible when it should be. We've wrapped presents (i'd love to try the pop its), used it for practical jokes, to mount pictures in college frames,to hang notices and messages, minor shoe, pen, pencil, i could go on. The strangest thing we used it for was to stop my son's finger from bleeding because we were out of band-aids. (YES it worked) I also make sure to donate a few rolls to the preschool and a local youth home. Everyone should keep a few around they are so versatile.

Scotch Magic Tape is Magic
We use scotch magic tape at work all the time that is all we order. Because we tried ordering other tape and it would stick together and you could never get it apart or find the end. We have one girl in the office that is crazy about tape. She tapes up everything. She goes through tape like no other. Don't get me wrong she is a very organized worker, but she has a fastination with tape. We love your product and hope you keep making it.

The old adage: "You get what you pay for", always seems to come true - and it's definitely so for Scotch Magic Tape. It may be cheaper to buy a different brand, but it won't work as well and there never seems to be enough for what I need. With Scotch, I feel like I am using a great item and it didn't really cost that much more.

I had several envelopes, so old the flap would no longer stick, so instead of throwing them away, I used Scotch tape to seal them after printing the address on them, and thus I am still able to use them instead of throwing them away and buying more! Now I know how to get the use of all my envelopes! Thanks Scotch Tape. I have just about run out of my tape so I will buy more. I will replace my tape soon so I can use all of the envelopes

I have always used "Scotch Tape". I especially like Scotch Magic Tape since it has an invisible appearance on Christmas gifts. It is a good product which I have used for many years. Highly recommend it especially around the holidays.

higher price may be least expensive
I have tried many brands of tape. I once thought getting the cheapest would be the best way to go. However, it always ended up being more expensive in the long run because it would take more tape or wouldn't hold at all. Magic tape always sticks well, is easily cut, and is nearly invisible. Needless to say Ihave came back to stay Magic is the best way to go.

I have tried tapes from the bargain stores and they definitely do not work. They do not hold things together like the Scotch brand tape. I will only use Scotch brand because it really works.

Scotch Magic working magic on my car
So recently someone hit my car and totally took the glass our of my side view mirror. I didn't have the money to pay for a new one quite yet and refused to drive my car until i had it replaced. That got old quick since I missed driving. A friend recommended using packing tape to tape a replacement mirror inside. So I got a replacement mirror but couldn't find any packing tape for the outside of the mirror. As determined as I was to get out of the house I was looking for anything that had adhesive. Lo and behold the last bit of Scotch magjic tape. I wrapped the 5 inches of tape that was left around the mirror as far as it would go hoping that it would fall off. Even with all the potholes I've hit the mirror has not moved. We've been getting a lot of rain where I live for the past couple weeks and I expected that the tape would lose its stick and start peeling but it's over 2 weeks later and it's still going strong! I never write product reviews but this definately deserved some recognition. Thanks Scotch, worth EVERY penny!

Scotch Magic Tape Fun time!
I have a grandson who needed to learn how
to use tape 3 years old, I give the tape to
him and let him tape and cut the tape
freely, not telling him how long at first so he
can't fail.
At first there was tape everywhere, now
he uses the tape with small pieces because
he was able to use it freely, he will make all
kinds of projects with tape and will be busy for
long periods of time, because tape is available
at all times. The tape comes off quickly, and easy
to work with. Tape can be a craft experience
all by it's self if you let the child learn freely. !!!!

I love how it disappears on packages :)
I love how it doesn't yellow with age.
And I really like that if you put it on and it's crooked, you can remove it and replace it. My presents always look great!

Scotch is the only tape I use. I have tried generic and it is awful. Scotch sticks like you expect it to! The dispenser works well and I love how clear it is when you adhere it...especially when wrapping gifts for birthdays and Christmas!

Your tape is my favorite, by far! We go through a lot of tape in my house (artistic kids!), and I have to admit, I sometimes hide Scotch tape so they'll easily find and use the lesser brands. Only problem is that they seem to find and like Scotch better, too!

Scotch Brand has been around since I was four years old and growing up one block from the bay. It's durable, dependable and consistantly the best.

3/4 Inch Wide Tape Always Performs Well
I usually buy the 3/4 inch wide tape. It always performs well and I use it for everything from sealing envelopes, taping papers, and crafting. I also have a large family and use it for all my wrapping. I like that it is usually fairly removable, too, if I do need to move the tape.

Scotch Magic Tape is a high quality product that has many uses. I have been using the product for many years, and worked at a family business that also sold the product. I have never had, nor heard any complaints about this 3M product.

I thoroughly enjoy using scotch tapes. They work really well and are stronger than others I have used in the past. Would recommend it to my friends. Where other brands would tear easily or twist up, scotch handles very well. I especially like the colored tapes and how creative they are.

Over the years I have grabbed other brands of tape off of the store shelf, thinking how much difference can it make. Well I have figured out that it does make a difference, Scotch Magic Tape is really superior to the cheapie brands out there. I say just do it right the first time and keep Scotch brand products at home and be done with it.

As a teacher and a hobbyist, this is the only tape I use. It holds up well, keeps things together and looks smooth and nearly invisible. When I make diaper cakes for baby showers, I only use Scotch tape. I never use anything else or it falls apart. :) See the image of my most recent cake made out of 100+ diapers.

I have tried other tape, but Scotch brand sticks so much better and the magic tape, you cannot even see the tape on the wrapping paper so it does not take away for the beauty of the paper. I love Scotch Magic Tape!

You finally had it good for a long time, and then you go and mess it up, typical. the actual tape is as good as it ever was, its just awkward to use now.

Nothing magic about the magic tape!
I work in a school with 3000 students where we use a lot of 3M products. We've always been happy about the quality up till now. Without a dispenser it is impossible to get hold on the tape even when it's a new roll. The green lit doesn't come off easy.... Many colleagues get frustrated about it. So now we've bought dispensers but with our fingernails we can't get a grip on the tape. I decided to take some of them back home for the weekend. Today I succeeded in putting 8 rolls on a dispenser (in 32 minutes yeah!) using a potato knive to loosen the tape. I had to throw a lot of tape in the bin though before getting result. I wonder if the employees at 3M use this tape? I can't imagine anyone finding this tape easy to handle. I would love to see an instruction video. :-))) Please change this tape into magic because this one is not good for the image of 3M!

splits and peels! Two rolls in the same pack, same
I bought a multipack of this magic tape. UGH. The first roll was ok. The 2nd roll began splitting and peeling after I'd only used it a couple times. I find the end, try to use it, but it immediately tapers to a thin strand and then splits off. YES I am using a good dispenser, into which this is inserted properly. Figured I had a bad roll, took out another roll. SAME PROBLEM!

Have been using for over 60 years and Scotch Brand Tape has never let\
me down. My 12 yr. old Grandson recently ripped the crotch of his jeans at a Fair and repaired the tear with Scotch Brand tape and much to our astonishment the repair lasted for over an hour! Great stuff!

Scotch tape is so reliable weather I am wrapping Christmas gifts or sending back a Christmas gift with Scotch packing tape. I never have to worry about if it will hold or come apart before it get to it’s destination ...my grandchildren use all kinds of Scotch tape when crafting at my house ....

Hides that I am no gifted gift wrapper

I only purchase Scotch Magic Tape for the simple fact that it tears off the roll. I got so aggravated with other tapes - I have to go thru half of the roll just to get a 2 inch piece of tape. Scotch Brand tears straight every time

Scotch Magic Tape in Dispensers
I ALWAYS buy this brand as it is the best. I have tried other cheaper tapes but they don't work well at all, they don't even cut evenly at times. I will stick with Scotch Magic Tape.

Useful for repair sheet music
I find this tape with it's matte finish to be very useful for repairing sheet music. The lack of shine allows the music to be easily read under any lighting conditions.

Not able to find start of tape
I bought this yesterday and it took about 15 minutes trying to find the start of the tape because it didn’t have the green starter piece. Had I known I was going to go through this I would’ve went with another brand!

I have been using this for YEARS in home/shool office and pretty much everywhere in between. Purchased a 10 pack, maybe 8 months ago. Used 2 rolls then, and no need since then. HOWEVER, now I cannot use any of the remaining rolls. \

I place roll on support/spinner thingie & into dispenser. Then begins to roll off to one side (getting thinner and thinner), as i'm pulling a piece off. Even if I catch the end before it sticks, it starts right up again, getting thinner until eventually not pulling tape anymore.\
\
I have tried: scissors, flat razor, knife anything & everything to get started again. I usually hafta use scissors to cut throught about 10-20 layers, to start a new end. I am now on the last roll in the 10-pack. I've ended up tossing over HALF of product. I was hoping it would be just some goofy issues for that batch, but seems unlikely as I haven't seen many others with same issue. \

Definitely not buying scotch brand tape again.

Sticks ok but hard to stay peeled on roll.
I have bought 3M products over the years and have been satisfied overall. Always thought their products were high quality. This Magic tape roll is too thin and cheap. It does not stay peeled on the roll and it makes it extremely difficult to start a new tape strip peel. After taking a piece of tape off it sometimes it doesn't rip off correctly and it sticks on the roll making it hard to start a new tape strip. If it was just a little bit thicker and stronger it would be better. I do not recommend this cheaply made thin tape. I will have to find another quality brand.
