MFCJ5845DW INKvestment Tank Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer with Up to 1-Year of Ink In-Box

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The Brother MFC Ink Jet is overall a high quality, easy to use, multi-functional scanner, print, copy, fax machine. Features: The machine was a breeze to get setup - simply plug in, turn on and input WiFi info. The machine was up and running within minutes. The Brother MFC easily connected to phones & pc in our household and there was no problem getting items to print. Settings were easily changed (from double sided, color or black and white, number of copies, etc). The features I liked the best were the app based functions- I was able to scan and create PDFs, send info to my email AND apps like Evernote, Dropbox, etc. I scanned multi page documents and sent them as one file. I can`t emohasize enough: this machine is very user friendly! It has all the features of an office grade machine, but is highlyfunctional for personal use. Quality: the quality of the scan & copy features is above average. Documents were clear and crisp, images printed fine, colors were vibrant and the printing was heavy or too dark. I was pleased with the quality of both the printing and copying features of the machine.I did not have any issues with the machine at all- it is worth noting it is very heavy and a pretty large machine (however, I expected this  for a print/copy/fax/scan).

Right out of the package, the printer was very easy to set up. The display screen was very helpful and walked me through the set-up very quickly.  The printer connected to my WiFi and again, the display screen allowed me to enter my password to connect my laptop. Even better, my iPhone didn`t need any setup. I easily sent a picture directly from my iPhone to the printer and the quality of the print makes me want to get better paper so I can give them out!  It`s a little bigger than I would want but for the quality and ease of use this is a great option.

This printer was super easy to assemble and install.  The ink was easy to install, although I wish the paperwork had suggested to shake the cartridges in the package before opening.  I got some ink splash.  The printer calibrated quickly and with no issues.  Once connected to my WiFi and apps installed, I could print from any computer or electronic device without any issues.  The print was vibrant and accurate.

This is my second "Brother" printer, I tell friends, people I see shopping for a printer, you should get a brother printer, your life, printer life will be better.  Why not buy the best and you won't have to buy another printer every two years like what had happen to me.  A brother printer is the best in the world.

Basic scanning to a searchable PDF is easy. It would be better if the scanning feature had editing options.to ignore a scanned page, to rearrange the sequence of scanned pages and to adjust the contrast when source documents are have mixed paper colors.

Very happy with this printer -- great quality, multiple uses, easy to set up.

I purchased this printer and it was my second Brother printer.  Much more reliable with great features.  Way better than any other printer I have used in the past.  The only reason I got a new one is my other printer broke after many years of use.

Set up was quick and printing is great. Fast with good print. Like the long time betwen ink refills.So far i am impressed.

Really like this printer because of the many things it can do.  It prints fast and I love that I don't have to buy ink every month with it.  It came with a years supply of ink and hope that it lasts the year. Can't wait to make personalized cards with it.  I have only had it a month so am still learning about it.  So far, I love it!

I have only had my Brother -MFC-J5845DW printer for about 6 months. Usally the biggest expence in owning a printer is the ink. I love the 1 year guarantee ink include in the box. I also love the speed and print quality.

Good sized ink capacity, lighting quick prints, scans are fairly crisp, holds a lot of paper, and it runs quietly.  It's not small but perfect for our two desk home office.

Everything about it is great except I can't get it to scan to my computor

The machine does everything I ask it to quite well. One problem is that I have not found a way adjust the field of a scan to accommodate odd items.

Found it at a great price, has quality fast printing! Hoping the long lasting ink works  as expected, was tired of constantly buying expensive cartridges that did not last for my previous junk E***n printer.

It is working very well for me.  It is very heavy but once it is in place, that is no worry.  It prints so quickly...  I love it!

Love it so far. Working great. I like the way it responds to all my commands.

Easy hook up and was very compatible to Windows system. Little bigger than I thought it would be, in over all size. Printing is excellent

Keeps on jamming and have to clear jame all the time. Print quality not good. Love Brother printers but this is the worse. To its advantage printer is good on ink.

I find the Brother MFC-J5845DW a good product for the most part.  It copies well.  The scanning function works well but sometimes you have to wait and press scan a second time before the function starts.  I also find the paper tray a bit inconvenient to get paper in and out.  Too many plastic tray pieces/ cover.  Otherwise a pretty dependable printer.

Purchased this printer to replace an aging printer from another company.  New Brother printer was easy to set up in a wireless manner to my Mac Mini, 2 iPhones and 2 iPads via a Netgear router.  Printing is very fast.  Colors are crisp and clear. Ink supply is impressive and easy to access and replace.  Paper loading and handling is easy. Online reviews of this product were correct in their praise for this machine.  Printer is used mainly for home use and neighborhood committee volunteer work.

This printer is everything I need in a multi-functional printer and each feature works flawlessly.   It's fast and quiet and is very user-friendly. It is larger than I expected so I had to re-arrange things to find a place where it would fit. My fault for not looking at the specs.  But it was worth the effort.  I don't know if I would have been happy with the smaller model MFC-J995DW because it lacks some of the features of this one.

Easy to set up. Print quality is good. I really like the ability to scan to a flash drive

As an architect being able to print out my drawings at 11 by 17 has been amazing and the quality is superb.

High quality device that is working precisely as I had envisioned, including making quality copies, easy scan function, and efficient coordination with my desktop.

Easy to set up. Prints fast. I like being able to print from my IPad, phone and computer. I highly recommend this printer.

It was easy to set up. So far everything is working fine except for color printing. Color printing is spotty, black ink printing is fine. I've tried cleaning the color cartridges and reprinting but the same is happening. I gave up. I don't really need that much color printing. I've been printing only in black. Everything else is working fine.
