I teach infant and toddler music classes, and part of my job responsibility includes printing and copying out music sheets for the parents. The printer and copier in my home office gets a lot of use every week, and plays a vital role in my weekly preparations.When I received the Brother MFC-J6945DW InkJet for my office, I was very excited to try it out! I appreciated that it has everything I need in one unit: printer, copier, scanner, and fax.ASSEMBLY: The Brother MFC-J6945DW InkJet comes fully assembled in its box. The box and its contents are quite heavy, so it`s probably best to have two people take it out of the box.SET-UP: Setting up the printer was intuitive, and the included instructions were comprehensive. From taking it out of the box to being fully functional and ready to go took approximately thirty minutes. This includes connecting it to WiFi, installing the ink toners, and downloading the software to your computer.PROBLEMS: While I personally have had no issues with the printer, some might find downloading the software and updating the drivers cumbersome. It also adds additional programs to your computer (specifically for scanning), which some customers may not want to use.Additionally, the copier is not automatically set up for legal size paper. You will have to manually adjust it to fit most standard printer paper.USE: I found the Brother MFC-J6945DW InkJet to be very easy to use! The touchscreen is responsive and intuitive. It prints very quickly, and there are no smudges or smears on the paper. The copier and scanner functions are also quick, with quality results. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this product, and it is a fantastic addition to my home office.

This printer has a lot of features which I like.The colors were vibrant on the photographs I printed out. It has three loading trees to choose from which is great to you this way standard paper and paper for photograph paper. The ink does take longer to dry than I would like and smeared a few times

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I have used this product for over a week now and I can truly tell everyone that it is amazing. I have used the printer which prints out every detail of what I`m printing so clear and I have 4 colors that goes with it. I have used the scanner and then turned around and copied items that I`ve needed to copy and couldn`t until now. Everything that I have done with this machine has been trouble free. I haven`t had any problems doing anything I`ve needed to do.Set up was so very easy to do. I set everything up and had it running in less than 1 hour. I didn`t have any problems at all. Anyone can do it.I have been telling everyone I know about the Brother Inkjet that I received. I highly recommend to anyone that wants a high quality product to buy this one.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I am very pleased with this product. It has exceeded my expectations for a home printer. The printing quality is very good. I love having home access to easy scanning and copying. My favorite feature is that I can print directly from my phone. I frequently save recipes and articles to my phone, but then find it cumbersome to get the items to my desktop for printing. This printer saves me that step and is a game changer!This printer comes with a years worth of ink. This estimate is based on printing 300 pages a month, which I won`t do, which means that I won`t have to replace the ink for even longer. Replacing printer ink can be a hassle, is expensive and can be hard on the environment. I`m pleased that I`m set for a long while. I would not call myself tech savvy. I was able to set up the printer, connect it to our wireless and desk top and download the app to my phone without any issues. It was a relief to know that support was easily accessed if needed. There were numerous references to Brother help and support if I had needed. One thing that I`d mention, is that potential buyers should pay attention to the size of the printer before purchasing. It is about four times the size of my previous Brother home printer. I needed help getting the printer upstairs and it will not fit in the spot where we kept our other printer.Overall, I`m thrilled with this home printer. I am thrilled about all of its many functions and pleased that I won`t have to spend time and money going somewhere else for my scanning and copying needs.

I have used this printer many times now and I Love it. I have had several printers over the years and this one is by far the best one I've ever had. It prints, scans, copies and does faxes without any problems and is so easy to do. I highly recommend this printer to anyone that wants a great hassle free machine.

This machine has worked perfectly.  The 2 sided single pass scanning and large format support is fantastic for what I do most.  Printing quality is very good - THis isn't a photo printer, but does a great job for most office document purposes.

I love it. Does everything I need it to do. I'm glad I bought it.

Up graded from the 6510 so far very happy. Like the two tray feature. The other printer was always reliable even on a dusty construction site.

The quatly of print, speed, and noise level are such an inprovement over the comparible Epson that I replaced.

This printer works as advertised.  Print is crisp and clear.  Colors are rich and vibrant.  I just wish ledger (11x17) paper could be stored in the bottom paper tray for printing.  I can only get it to feed from the rear or the top tray.

No jambs. Works as advertised.  Wish it had better photo quality but no complaints did not purchase it for that.

This printer has done everything I asked it to. I am especially pleased that it maintains its WiFi connection.

Very reliable machine, very good print quality, easy to adapt to the hardware/software combination.

Works great for me for home use. Simple interface is good. To utilize the full features of this printer requires some time. To gain all functions require usb connection to pc. Network interface is nice. using for a month so far & no issues.

It is larger then some of the other printers you can purchase but it has more paper holding capacity as larger ink bottles and the print quality if excellent.

Much quieter than other printers. Prints fast. Quality of printing is great. Colors are solid and distinguishable.

Scanning to a computer on the network is more troublesome than necessary. You need a software program on the computer to receive the scan. It seems impossible to select a scan in JPG, PDF, or TIFF format!

This is my 2nd brother printer. I've had it about 2 months now and it was very easy to set up as a wireless printer for 3 users in my house. The ink is lasting very long - which is also something I liked about my previous Brother printer (which after 6 years with me is still in use at my son's house). Printing is quick. Overall, I am very pleased with it.

I have the previous model 6710 and love it.  So when I needed another tabloid 11” x 17” printer I did my research again and no surprise Brother was the answer again with this model.  It does everything with an 11” x 17” size paper that it can do with letter and legal.  Prints nice color at good ink price.  Does single or double sided prints, copies, and scans.  Or you can scan on the flat glass for items that cannot go thru a feeder.  It has two trays for any size paper, and a back manual feed slot.  It is WiFi, network, or USB.  Has a nicer color touch control panel.  And the software is great.  I print a lot of 11x17 plans, mark notes all over them in red or pencil, and then I can adjust the scan settings and save the settings so the scan looks good and the file size is smaller.  It’s also a good photo printer for the kids.  The best thing is it never breaks.  Rare malfunction that is easy to clear following on screen prompts.  On my old model Brother still updates software long after warranty is up and product is no longer sold.  It is super easy to print and scan from smart phones also.  Brother is my go to brand now thanks to these two large format printers.

Very easy to use.  Instructions very clear.  I have not used all the functions, yet but very confident there will be no problems.

This is my first Brother printer. I love the speed and quality.

seems to be good printer so far. we printer occasionally so not been used a lot yet. was easy to set up. if you have limited space you need to make sure you have the room for this printer because it is quite large.

Purchased for use while working at Home.  It took awhile to figure out how to account for the entire document area when making 11x17 Scan.  There is also downside with the settings having to be adjusted in order for "yellow highlight" to be displayed on Color Scan.  Even after adjustment, color appears as more orange than yellow.  Satisfied with speed for Printing and Scanning.

I switched from an HP8740 to the Brother MFC-J6945DW because I though the HP was poorly constructed.  The Brother is more solid, more reliable and an excellent addition to our office.
