I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I recently purchased the Brother Color Ink-Jet all-in-one printer. It was very easy to set up, the instructions were clear and had pictures to go along with so that it was easier to do. The great thing about this printer is it also comes with ink for a up to a year, so you are ready to go as soon as you set it up. The buttons and display are clear, and easy to use. The quality of print was good, crisp and clean. It took me a little to figure out the wireless setting, but once I did, it is easy to do and makes you able to print from anywhere in your house. I highly recommend this printer and will be using it for a long time.

Easy setup on home network with multiple Win10 PC's. Text and business graphics printing is pretty good. Fast enough for my needs and duplexer works well. Scanner works OK on documents but really falls short on glossy photographs. Will be interesting to see how ink (in the printer) holds up over time.

I like the design and color of the printer. In fact, it's one of the few that were white. The set up was easy and I love the fact that I can print from my phone. The scanner is also easy to use. This is a great machine so far.

So far is more then I expected it to be, works great off of our home system between mine and my wife's computer's. Scared me once I thought it was on when it was making noise, but it was off not sure what that was all about but no problems

Second Brother I've owned
While I really like this printer it remains to be seen if the ink will last a year as claimed. I do have one little nit to pick. I don't like the fact that it seems to be asleep with I boot the system in the morning. It's very minor....

Had a Brother 825 (?) for many years until it needed replacement. I am hoping that the 995 will perform and last at least the same.Great feature and capabilities for a great price are impressive.

I searched quite awhile for a printer to replace my old Lexmark. I was most interested in a printer with good color reproduction and low cost ink. The MFC-J995DW exceeded my expectations in this area. I was most impressed with its quietness and speed of printing. Print quality is very good. It handles different paper sizes and weights very well.

Easy to use, very impressed with the photos that it it prints. It is easy to use and set up. The touch screen works will but could be a little bigger. I am 71 and if I can set it up and use it anyone can use it.

The printer/ scanner is very easy to use, easy to set up and easy to understand.\
You can be on your laptop in another part of your house and it will print whatever you send it without the need of a usb cable.

All in all, better that others
The specifications stated that the printer could feed up to 58 lb. "inkjet paper". I called support to verify this before I bought. They did, and the machine could not feed the 52 lb. double sided matte paper I was using for my project. This was a disappointment but it might have been due to miscommunication. Another disappointment was during my 425 page project, I needed to replace the cyan, magenta, and yellow tanks when the machine was advertised not to need replacement ink for one year. This was probably due to the matte paper finish which takes more ink. Otherwise, the machine has performed better than printers I have had from the other three major manufacturers. For general printing, I would recommend it.

I bought a Brother Printer mainly for the ink feature. I love the idea of a ink well rather than a cartridge and not having to install ink so often. I did some research and ask friends for their openion. Those I talked to who have used Brother Printers liked them so I decided to try it. I hope the ink lasts as long as advertised but I won’t know that for at least 10 months yet. As far as print quality, I have never had better. It was easy to set up and prints beautifully on both sides of the paper with clarity and no bleed thru. I can print from my I phone, my I pad and my lap top. It is fast and I really love the fact that it is always on and ready to go. I love it and recommend it to anyone looking to replace a computer or buying a new one.

I was upgrading a Brother Laser BW wireless printer for a color printer. The initial set up was very easy and the touch screen is great to use. It is easy to print from computer and I love being able to print from phone. I chose this inkjet all in one because replacing the ink was more economical than a laser printer.

I have had the printer for about 3 months. It works great, it was easy to setup. The printing speed is very good for this price. Has not used much ink, may last a year, great that I am not always replacing cartridges.I would highly recommend this to someone looking for a check and economical printer.

Had trouble loading driver
I had trouble loading the driver onto my computer. luckily I had Geek Squad do it for me. They said they had to get an update from the web. to comoplete the installation. Very flustratingId to insert a brand new driver from the disc that came with the unit and it not work because it wasn't up to date.

I've had many printers and tried a few that I returned. This is best one of all. Wifi printing works every time. Print quality is good. Price is great considering is has a years worth of ink supplied with it. I've had it 2 months and it seems like very low has been used. Easy set up.

Good but keeps going offline
Overall a very good set of features however it goes offline more than once a day. I have searched the net for several weeks but have not found a solution that works. Requires restart of printer or router each time.

I like the machine, it does everything I need it to do. The only thing that is kind of a pain is when I want to print a single envelope or print checks the individual feed is on the back of the machine and it is kind of a pain to do. Other than that everything is working well.

Do not buy any printer other than a Brother. I have had five of them and one Canon. I gave the Canon away after one month and bought the MFC-j995dw. It is the best printer I have ever owned.

Excellent "Pro-Sumer" Level Equipment
We've tried various HP and Epson "home" printers over the years, all of which were inadequate, broke easily (or so it seemed) and had very expensive ink resupply.\
\
So, we didn't want to spend a ton of $$$ but we do run a small home business and do need better than "home" quality equipment.\
\
We paid a little more for the Brother up front, but it has blown all of these completely out of the water with speed, efficiency, ease of use and paper capacity.\
\
Hightly recommended!

Fax and home phone on same line, have been unable to stop fax starting when phone rings more tha 3 times, please tell me how to turn off fav and activate when needed. Like Brother sewing machine; Quattro, excellent product

This printer is BY FAR the best machine I have ever used. The initial hook up could not have been easier. Plug in the wires, answer a few questions and away we go. I was able to fax, copy, scan emails and provide instant corespondance for real estate transactions. Only my BROTHER will be working under my desk from here on out. Thank you

I have gone through a lot of inkjet printers. I’ve had a Canon, an HP, and now a Brother. Hands down, the Brother is the best printer out of the ones I’ve owned. Setup was super easy. The quality of the printing is superior to my previous inkjet printers, and it’s easy to choose which settings I want. I’ve also made copies and scanned documents. I also like seeing my ink usage and knowing how much to be able to plan for. So glad I bought my Brother. It’s great!

We purchased this printer for an office environment. While there is nothing technically wrong with this printer it is extremely slow. It also makes sounds like it's dying while printing. It's given us a few laughs! Probably great for a home printer but is not suitable for an office environment.

I have had it for few months and its been doing great so far. I had to put it on a larger table cause it does shake when it prints, but the quality is great especially pictures were beyond my expectations. I have done a lot of work with it and already benefited way more than what it cost me. Very happy so far

Replaced another multi-purpose printer for light office use / family abuse... ' keen to see if the ink for a year feature lives up to the promise. I like the idea of not having to buy ink and store it - especially when some manufactures put a date stamp on the cartridge so that it won't work after a certain date!

After reading multiple mixed reviews we were not sure if this was the best replacement for another brand printer and when we got it the plastic paper bin feed pieces seemed very fragile, BUT, this is a GREAT printer. It is responsive, fast, quiet, easy to set up and works every time doing everyday printing for us. We are so glad we purchased this printer.

Complete stack of features. Best all in one.
By far this is the most advanced and complete all in one printer I've purchased. The convenience of the ink tank and not having to replenish nor purchase ink for at least a year is fantastic. Connectivity is seamless and fast. The broad variety of utility apps that Brother has just make this device so much easier to use. Not planning on purchasing another printer for a long time.

Good print & cost efficiency but has two problems
I like this printer from a print quality and cost efficiency point of view. I do have a couple of issues. I have to wake it up by clicking the ON button the first time I use it in the morning. (I do not turn it off when I leave for the day). My second peeve is that paper is not well supported when the printed page exits the printer. There is only a small box of plastic for those pages to land on. If you pull out the extension, the extension is up at a steep angle, which pitches the paper back at the next page coming out. Not good if you have over 10 pages to print at one time.

Although the price was a lot higher than I really wanted to pay, it had the greatest reviews. It does everything I ask it to do. Printing quality depends on program I am using. Scans well with good resolution. Don't fax anything so can't comment on that feature. Ink use is only so so. I try to use black and white with ink saver as much as possible, but it looks like the color may not give me a years use. Time will tell.

The Best Printer in the World
I never liked printers before because they would always run out of ink so fast but not this printer. This is the best and only printer you can buy. Don’t hesitate trust me the quality of this product is amazing. All my friends are buying this brand now. I love it so much !

This is a great little printer; has all the functions I need in a small footprint. The ink well design is great, and that idea was long time coming. Not having to buy those expensive cartridges anymore is a blessing. I could not be more pleased with my Brother printer and would highly recommend it for small business/saleman like myself

Love this printer but I would love it more if it had duplex printing and scanning. \
Would not cost that much to offer this as an upgrade to this printer.

Ease of set up and use is phenominal
First time I was ever able to follow the easy instructions and set the printer up on my own. It is much easier to scan and do other tasks than the other printers that I have had in the past.

I love that I can print guilt free....not having to worry about the cost of the ink...or using up all of the ink and then someone else misses out.

This is my second review of this Brother-MFC-J995DW printer. I have been using it for about 4 months and still am impressed with the quality of the print jobs, the ease of use, reliability, and quiet performance. The initial help I received from the customer support was excellent. I haven't had to make any other calls. I am now a loyal Brother company customer.

Easy to print wirelessly from my computer, iPad, and iPhone. The ink doesn’t dry out like it did with other brands of printers.

great features, very economical.
Got this one because the upgrade was worth the few dollars more with a years worth of ink. Last printer was a Brother and was well pleased with it.

This printer is new to me and so far it works well. However, there are other features I would like to use and haven’t figured out exactly how. It could be a bit more user friendly for people not tech savvy.

Efficient and easy to operate

Reliable printer - with excellent receptivity to be discovered by friends who are visiting and want to print from their phones. Surprisingly fast and easy. A few features could be displayed more easily - ink saving printing and single sided (although we love the double sided printing which has been reliable).

Easy to copy, scan and print. Haven't used the fax. Fairly quiet. There is plenty of room in the paper tray, and in the feeder at the top of the machine.Prints fairly quickly, Excellent quality.

Nothing bad about this printer that I can find. Have printed with Canon, Dell and Brother is the best of all.

The printer was easy to set up and works great. It is a bit slow to start but fine otherwise. I haven’t changed ink yet so can’t comment on that. Copier and faxing are fine. I haven’t tried scanning yet.
