So Far So Good

I have only owned this printer for about a month, but so far no problems. I bought it partly because I liked the idea of larger ink capacity and cost, but it is obviously too early to know if the ink will last "up to 2 years". I also like the 2-year warranty. The only negative so far is the small touchscreen. My previous HP was much larger.

will not print two or more copies

Tried to use. something wrong with the program. will not copy over one copy. returned to store. Sad, because I always liked the brothers copiers.

Really good so far!

Have only had the printer a few weeks now but thusfar - it's lived up to it's reviews.\
One key item yet to be determined will be how long the ink lasts. As the box says "up to 2 years of ink in the box". And I bought the XL... hope the ink lasts better than my last printer - a Canon. It was easy to install per the intstructions... easy to link up to - no issues.

Great little printer for the price

I needed a basic, reliable, gets the job done printer, and that's what I got. Not many bells & whistles, but I prefer the simplicity to stuff I don't need. Set-up and functions are simple and intuitive. Have had ZERO jams, questions, problems. 100% problem free so far. We've networked 2 computers to it so it can print for the whole house without tons of cabling. Not super speedy, but I have time.

Nice features

I upgraded (stepped up my game!) and impressed. I was tired of buying cartridges and the ink on this lasts such a long time. My only вЂwishвЂ™ is that the paper tray held more paper.

Disappointed!

This printer is adequate at best. Because we do not print very often it serves it's purpose at a minimal level. If you have a lot of printing to do look elsewhere. Colors are flat. If it has been inactive for a day or so it shows as 'offline' on the network and must be restarted.

This printer does everything well. It is simple to use,has great diagnostic features and I especially like the large ink reservoirs.

Works exactly as advertised

Have used for a couple of weeks. Software is as great as the hardware. Really happy with the purchase. Used HP for 2 decades, this Brother is a much a better value over the long run, just a little more $ up front.

Fast, clear print

I have bought nothing but BROTHER since starting my business 32 years ago!\
My very FAVORITE : MFC845CW\
My Lazer HL-3170CDW is good, still and used daily\
My NEW one MFC-J995DW is very good....only the FAX is difficult because the numbers are so small (Nothing like the MFC845CW!) If you ever do another like this one I want to know!

Easy to use.

I love the quality of prints. It is quiet. It just is doesn't print quality photos. The photos are faded out. The loading tray for the paper is flimsy. Other than that I am satisfied with the printer and enjoy that is reliable, unlike the HP printer I had.

Recurring Problem: Paper Jam Warning

as the reviewTitl says, Paper Jam stoppage -- and there is NO paper jam -- have updated firmware - followed all prompts -- I continue to get this warning and am unable to print anything until steps are followed...........but there is no paper jam at all. I've only had this product 1 month, it has done this since day 1................

Great Printer

This is a very nice printer,copier and fax machine although I donвЂ™t use the fax feature. The set up was easy and it has worked great for a home office environment

Best and Most reliable printer ever

This is the first printer I have owned where the wireless works easily andwas simple to connect. The esign of cartridge insertion, paper loading and wireless application are all wonderful. I am very happy nd I have tried HP, Epson and Canon.

Good printer but

Good printer but everything else is slow or has issues. Scan but be started from the computer for some reason it doesn't work from the scanner button, software issue.

Better than any inkjet printer we've owned!

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that when using the fax the paper feeder sounds like it's a 100 years old but its made that noise out of the box. It prints nicely, quickly and accurately. It does a routine head cleaning itself and it doesn't use a lot of ink. We print a lot and we still have 3/4 of the ink.

Great Product

This printer has everything what I had been looking for a long time. Very quiet, quick response and I can scan wirelessly. I printed pictures through the SD card reader and used the back panel to put the photo paper which is very easy to use for a single copy. The printing and photo quality are outstanding.

Good Printer

I am usint the printer in a home, not an office. I do find the printer was easy to set up. When called upon to print...it works.\
I have not used the other features yet, scan and the fax. I can only assume they will work equally as well as the printer.

The wireless setup was effortless!

The printer footprint is smaller than my previous printer. It is also more quiet and I love the sorting feature.
