Is there anyway I can get a foot or longer straw to spray the product into a difficult to access area? I have used WD-40 for years and am always pleased with the results. An extra long SMART STRAW would be even smarter for me.

perhaps you wont loose the straw however the product will not shoot through the straw. it bubbles at the tip of the gray plastic piece, gets on the floor, hands and everthing it is not supposed to lubricate. then you have to clean up. not a good dispenser.

I have been using the new smart straw for a couple of years. And unfortunately it does not work very well. The mist feature when the smart straw is down fails when the can is half full and no amount of shaking will correct this from happening. This has been an issue with a dozen or more cans. Please bring back the old spray nozzle, it may not be as convenient but it worked. I will not be purchasing this product any longer because of all the half empty cans I have had to throw away.

Never lose a straw again!
I bought this a few weeks back as I'm tired of losing the straw in the end of my tool box. I have an old 4x4 that I am rebuilding and some ceased nuts and bolts are impossible to break without first soaking them in WD40. Applying WD40 to awkward places becomes impossible without a straw and the new Smart Straw ensures that I will never lose a straw again and lets me hit those nuts and bolts without much overspray. Excellent product and I can't recommend it enough.

WD-40 - - what would one do without it?
I've been using WD-40 it seems forever. Ð’ Since my early days as a GM mechanic (in the 70s) I ALWAYS had a can (or two) in my box. Ð’ From lube to fixing squeaks, etc., I even found that it would safely remove overspray from my tool box from when painting engine/parts.

Before discovering this wonderful product, some of my tools got rusty sitting in the garage for just a month or two. I know table saws are particularly prone to rust because of all the wood rubbing on the surface. I've been using WD-40 to spray a light coating on my table saw after each use ever use since it was new. I've had that saw for 25 years now and the surface is still rust free.

The problem I find, is when you get down Ð’ to 3rd of Liquid left in the can. Its lost pressure. the smart strew seemed to be the worst for this problem.every can that I buy does this.and this spray with the can upright.and if you try to spray Ð’ upside down it loses pessure, I would try putting more air pressure, and less liquids in it,so I can finish the can

This is the same great WD-40 that we know and have loved and used for so many years, just in an optional new package. Personally, I prefer the "regular" style cans because of the delay in the initial spray and the slight delay in shutting the spray off in these Smart Straw cans.

WD-40 Has Never Let Me Down!
There are many brands of penetrants/lubricants out there. And yes, some of them work pretty good. But, the only one that's never let me down is WD-40. The smart straw is the topping on the cake. No more losing the straw. It's also a must when working under a car without a hydraulic lift.

Just picked up my first can with smart straw and very disappointed.
There is serious blow-by where the pivoting straw meets the nozzle. This results in 1/2 the WD-40 dribbling down the can and the other half coming out the straw.
That is of course assuming the straw is at the perfect angle to match with the can nozzle....if its off by just a little...all of the wd-40 will dribble down the can. Always loved WD-40, just want the original can with the detachable straw.

So many uses it is unbelievable.
My deceased mothers house's well was not dug deep enough so there was a lot of rust in the sinks toilets washing machine. She had a caregiver and I went over to her house to do some things and found the kitchen sink sparkling. She never told me what she used. I know it was WD-40. It was in the garage. I have it where I live all the time for different things. Awesome product that you have created and always something new coming out too. Love your products. Thanks so much.

I LOVE WD40, the first time I had door locks that were jammed and could not get in the house, I sprayed them good. Got in and then a friend said my locks would be worse when the WD 40 jammed them, I wrote the Company. They told me how safe it is. A spot on my carpet that had been there for years and nothing removed it. Well a spray of WD, paper towel and it was gone, also took double sticky tape off the carpet. Ð’ WD40 is my new best friend.

Good concept, poor execution
The smart straw is a good idea, but 3 cans in a row have stopped working with the can half full. I don't know if it is the accelerant not working or the nozzle, either way I am getting robbed out of half the can.

Swiveling action parts are made of inferior plastic for the intended use, Have 2 cans where the lugs either broke off or became deformed. There is also no sealing when the straw is in the up position and it does leak at that joint.
Much rather take my chances losing the straw, have many that I have collected over the years.. Thumbs down to this idea, sounded good but execution is beyond poor

A classic example of a new poorly executed design literally ruining a good company. I suggest you change your smart straw before it is your demise. I personally cannot buy your product again until you do. You tried to make it better, didn't work, change it back!!!

Keeping Tractor Trailer Rigs on the go, in Winter
Using warm WD-40 spray has helped me, many times, release frozen brakes from the drums, on tractors and trailer rigs in sub-zero weather.. The brake shoes are not harmed because the WD-40 disperses and evaporates, with the frozen moisture especially after a few stops to make sure the brakes are moisture free; the drums become absolutely dry.... Just amazing !!

My name is James. I use WD 40 to keep spiders from re-building webs in my screened in swimming pool. If one sprays the beams that prop up the screens, spider webs do not stick. I live in south FLA, and now is rainy season.Much to my surprise the WD40 remained in tact and no spider webs after three weeks! I also removed webs from other parts of the pool area and the webs were back in two to three DAYS!! Only the areas where I sprayed WD40 are there NO webs!! Thanks WD40 for a great product. I have used WD-40 for years but am now buying other products because the smart straw doesn't work. I have bought several cans because I thought I just got a bad one, but they have all been bad. They leak all over my hand, the top constantly falls off and the pressure is all gone when the can is still 3/4 full. Very sad they didn't test it more before they put it on the market. I guess the company feels they don't need any repeat buyers.

I have used WD40 since the 60's and never had an issue with the product until the swing arm/straw spray. Two cans stopped spraying before the can was half used.\
It is hard to find the old sprayer in cans larger than 3 oz. Still love the product but the spray straw needs a fix.

Dependable but runs out of propellant
Have used for years and always pleased until recently. Have had to throw last 3 cans away with liquid left in them, because propellant was used up. Great lubricant but only if it will come out of the can. What say you WD 40??

I bought this 12oz size and a 7oz size and im very disappointed in the change you made to the spray. I can't get everything out of the can, theres plenty left inside, but it just sputters. I need to spray downwards and need to tilt the can. I hate the spray nozzle , and its hard to press that top button, i like the trigger better. I like WD40 but not the change you made.

Great idea, works horrifically!
This two way straw "feature" is useless. When I try spray a stream it comes out both places a subsequently is nothing but a mess. I threw the entire can in the trash after attempting to use a dozen times w the same result. Very disappointing!

12 oz can ALWAYS out of gas
The 12 oz. can ALWAYS runs out of gas after you use about 3-4 oz! What a waste of time (because you thought you had some you could use & now you have to go out and buy some more) and money (you buy the big can so you don't have to keep going to the store, but still have to anyway because it's out of gas and still 3/4 full).

Have had 3 cans with so called smart straw. Try and use it, the liquid bubbles out the top of the can all over everything except where you need it to go. Must be a really poor testing team to put this junk on a good product.

I hate the Smart Straw dispenser
WD-40 is a good product but the smart straw is the worst, most inefficient, and unreliable dispenser on the market. You will waste more than half the can.

I bought two cans with the smart straw. A few seconds into use the first can stopped spraying. I picked up the second can and again, a few seconds into use it also stopped working. Now I have two full but useless cans of WD40....

I have a 65 mustang that had been sitting outside from 1995 to present. I got in there and couldn't move anything nor open the hood due to a bit of rust. I sprayed the hood hinges, door handles window handles, ect. And everything is now working. Thank you for making such a great product.

I use WD-40 for lots of things around my house and yard. My most recent was on the wheel of my wheel barrow. My wheel was not turning like it should-two squirts with the straw and like new!!!!

So we bought this to help with the squeaky cabinet doors. Spray on the hinges and no more squeak. Downfall I can no longer hear when someone is trying to eat my cookie stash. Also worked wonders on getting stickers off the bunk beds. WD-40 needs to be in everyone's home.
