Have used the PowerLock for years. It's squared design is the best I've found for actually getting into a corner space to get the best measurement for doing base trims. Only downside is that they are getting harder to find in my local stores, so now if I see them I buy multiples.

The 25' Tape I own has been through rough times. Its been outside in the rain, cold and heat. Dropped in water and mud. Played with by the kids. Still working like New. A value that works. I recommend and if ever nГ©ded will buy again.

I've owned these type tape measures all my life. They have always been long lasting and affordable.....Until now. The measuring "paint" is sub quality and usually wears out within a week or two with constant usage

Stanley power locks chrome plated tape
I have been in the welding/fabrication industry for 18 years. I have always used the Stanley 25ft measuring tapes daily, I also use the Stanley 50ft reeal tape as well. I have tried other brands of tapes bur I always come back to Stanley. There is nothing like it

I have had this Stanley tape measure for several years, its stays in the garage workbench and is my go to tape measure for any job. However, since my wife also some crafting and little projects at home I decided to buy several "other brand" tape measure for her to use placed in drawers throughout the house. Those other brands did not even last a fraction of the time my Stanley tape measure did. And I am not easy on my tape measure, its been dropped, thrown and generally abused while doing household projects inside and out. Because of the the reliability of this little tape measure, slowly but surely, i started adding to my Stanley tool collection. Best product in the market!

I have owned a Stanley Powerlock 25 ft. tape measure for many years. It is durable, the lock still works on it. It comes smoothly out of its base. I use it all the time.

I have used this model for years. It was used in construction a nd in lumber sales. Always did a great job. Only problem is they don't survive 20 ft drops any better than other. my issue not the tape.

I’ve had this tape measure for years with no issues what so ever. This is the same style my dad has owned since I was a little kid and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great tape measure.

I have had this Stanley PowerLock tape measure for a decade, it seems. Many projects (multiply each cut by two, for "measure twice...), it has been loaned and thought lost but now back on my tool shelf for the next project

I have over six of these in my collection of tools and measuring devices. I always seem to turn to the bright PowerLock in my arsenal. The numbers are easy to see and the tape never gives me problems when retracting. For the money, it is a great device to get the job done well.

When I was 6 this was my first tape measure, a gift from my dad. Now this may be the newest version of the one I have but it has the beauty of the first one I recieved. My dad taught woodshop at a local night school and loves woodworking. He presented me with this tape measure for a birthday present and said no matter how big or small the project this will help you achieve great results. I was 6, but all I knew at the time was I get to go with dad and help him out at night school when mom was working. Now life has taken me through many different paths from little wood projects to the machine tool and die field which captivated my attention more, to the telecom industry in which I work now. Through it all that tape has been there helping me make accurate cuts, helped me save on materials, and even help reach my keys last week I dropped behind a filing cabinet. But all God things find a way of progressing forward as I've passed it on to my nephew who currently use to measure how tall everyone and thing is. So, I look forward toward purchasing this tape for myself this week when I get back home from work. Thank you for being there to help me make some great memories and great results. PS love the sockets you all make too.

This is my go to tape in my shop and for everyday tasks.\
I like the metal chrome look to differentiate between everyone else. \
I find it easy to read. It has a nice blade stand out. \
I've dropped it hundreds of times and it works. \
If I lose it, I'm buying another one.

Been the standard for years
Been using this model of tape measure for the past 15 years, A great simple design that does everything needed of it. Like any great tool, over the years it feels more like an extension of your arm.

25' powerlock is the definition of tape measure
I have owned stanley tape measure all my life. From a 12 year old learning wood working to being a 60+ year old DYI.\
\
They literally last until you wear them out. Or accidentally drop one is a bucket of curing resin.

I have two of these. They're both 28 years old and still have the original blade. One is for concrete work (the blade has gotten wet concrete on it) and the other is for carpentry work. They fit perfectly in my tape holster and I think I'll have them for many years to come!

The only one worth buying or using!
I have purchased or somehow 'borrowed' dozens of tape measures over the decades, but the only ones I still have are Stanley made. These are accurate, function well and they last.\
I hope the new China made tools remain up to Stanley quality.

I have always used a Stanley 25' tape rule. The first one I brought when I was in 11 grade carpentry. I use that tape measure throughout high school and for serval years in my woodworking career. It stayed ture all that time until the tip broke off due to wear. I will only use Stanley because they hold up for many years.

My 25' STANLEY POWERLOCK II was presented to me, by my company, probably in the late 1970's. It came with a STANLEY leather belt holster. \
I'm retired now, but, I still use my POWERLOCK on DIY projects around the house. The tape measure has held up better than the leather holster, but, the holster condition is mostly cosmetic! The tape measure still retracts perfectly, and the color, numbers and markings are sharp and clear.

I’ve always had these classic smooth side tapes. They’re the perfect size and aren’t covered in rubber so you can easily slide them in and out of your tool belt. you just can’t beat the classics.

I do a lot of house flipping that contains a lot of cabinetry work, flooring, counters, mirrors, etc. I have had a lot of different tape measures but they have all broken in one way or another! Bent blades, tip breaks off as it retracts, you name it. I decided to spend a few extra bucks on a couple of these and could not be happier! The blade will stand out about 8ft with our “breaking” so you can get some good distance measurements and no kinks whatsoever so matter what I do to the thing. Won’t be buying any other tapes any time soon!
