Does what is promised and the plug in options are helpful
I use this product for my flat screen along with other electronics such as dvd player and wii. At on point I even had a lamp and Christmas tree plugged in as well. There is plenty of space to plug in several items and the spacing allows for those plugs that need more room to be used without covering the neighboring plugs. A couple winters ago we had a huge ice storm and power surges. Everything that was plugged into my surge protector was safe and sound. It did what was promised. I'd buy this one again.

This is a very nicely designed product...it easily accomodates up to 2 transformers
I have used Tripp-Lite Surge protectors for several years. Presently I have 5 in service. Their customer service was helpful and had one of my Isobar Touchmaster Plus units quickly repaired and returned to me after a lightening strike/surge several years ago. Their lifetime warranty covered the repair without a hassle.

I would buy this brand again.
Used to protect computer and peripherals. After about 10 years a storm fried one of my house breakers and the old surge protector but saved my two computers and related equip.

It seems like a robust unit and well reviewed which is why I got it. It is buried in a cabinet holding electronic components though I can still see the monitoring lights. I want to protect those components that I cannot unplug easily when I'm away. I personally could live without an 8-foot cord which takes up a lot of room but it makes it useful for other uses than mine. It is a difficult thing to review something that stands by until trouble. None of us will know it works properly until the warning lights tell us it handled a surge and our electronics still work.

Wired lab tested surge protectors and made this their singlular recommendation. Internals wear out or blow and you fail to check the lights cause it's tucked away, leaving you without protection.
Not this one. Worn out or blown and it won't provide juice - you know you need to replace.
Only way to go.

I bought this based on a recommendation from The Wirecutter. They like this surge protector b/c when it no longer can protect against surges it shuts down. This is a sure-fire way to know it's time to replace it. Most other surge protectors will keep on sending power to your stuff even if it's no longer protecting them.

High quality, with room for everything
Nice layout - I like the 90 degree outlet plug and the extra long AC cord. I have connected 2 computers, 2 printers, a router, and a telephone system. 2 of those devices have the large AC adapters, which fit nicely. And there is still room to add more plugs to it. It's great!

I bought two of these after having lightning-related issues with various items in my home. Better to be safe and have new surge protectors than be sorry and have ruined equipment! I was pleased with the design. The outlets are spaced far enough apart that I could plug in the myriad of plugs/bricks associated with computer stations in today's world. The same is true for the TV and its peripherals. It has a high Joule rating and LED lights to alert the user if things are working properly. In addition, it has a lifetime warranty and $150,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance for connected devices. I'm very satisfied.

We use three of these, one for each laptop area and the tv/cable/modem/wifi area. After researching surge protectors on various independent sites, I quickly found that Tripp-Lite is better because it disconnects the electricity in the event of a surge and it has a warranty that covers damaged items.

This surge protector comes with a lifetime warranty. It has a light that lets you know that the surge protector is working. Over time, eventually it will need replacing. I am hoping the warranty will cover the replacement when the light goes out.

Nice quality. I like the feature that when the Protected LED does not illuminate I will know it needs to be replaced instead of guessing if it's still functioning or not. Makes me feel my equipment is covered and safe.

I would buy this product again
I've used this product to protect my desktop computer, router, and printer. Wider spaced outlets for transformers is a great feature. You cannot plug transformers into many surge protectors without blocking other outlets.

I chose this particular surge protector for its top 3 ratings. I researched surge protectors and several websites had this model in the top 3 every time. I love the fact that when the protector is no longer protecting your electronics then it won't let electricity through. It really protects.

Very happy with Tripp lite purchase
Just purchased this surge protection, long cord and has plug at right angle to the wall so does not stick out too far. Seems to be well built. Spacing for small transformers. Only time will telll as far as protection. So far,I am please.
Will be buying another one as is very reasonably priced.

Low-key black-and-gray protector with 6 regular outlets plus four well-spaced for blocks, tel protection, shuts down when compromised (so you don't have the illusion that your gear is protected when it isn't). I liked the first one so much that I bought two more.

Wide spacing allowed me to plug in a number of wall warts. I eliminated some extension cords in the process. The sockets were a little tight initially, but I plugged the strips own cord into each one which loosened them up. Overall, a good product.

After looking and pricing many protectors I was almost giving up on finding a 10 outlet surge protector that was both affordable and came with understandable information about its use. The guarantee on all connected products is worth it alone, but on top of that it is well thought out with 4 slots extended out for bigger power bricks plus covers that slide on/off to prevent dust getting in unused plugs.

If you do the research you will find how highly rated Tripp-Lite is. Can't beat their protection for the price. Very solid construction and you can always tell if it is working. Worth the cost for sure.

I love that there are two groups of outlets with differing amounts of space between them (so the space hoggers can be plugged in next to each other, and the normal/small size plugs etc. etc.), so that there are no wasted plugs due to giant plugs that cover the adjacent ones. So far seems very reliable and arrived in good condition.

Easy to use right out of the box, I chose this surge protector because of opinions based on engineers who know electricity. As I understand it, this inexpensive surge protector will protect some fairly expensive electronics. My fears are now gone that the potential nasty effects of a sudden lightening strike or electrical surge are now greatly lessened.

So far I am happy with my purchase. Although, I do not need the telephone protection (and this seems old school), after much research, this seemed to be the one to get. I like the spacing of the plugs, for large and small, and like the feature that it will stop working at end of life surge protection, versus continued juice with no protection.

Item arrived on time and easy to install. Some reviewers posted that it was difficult to plug components in but I didn't encounter that problem. Outlets may have been a little tighter than normal outlets but that might be expected in a device that hopefully prevents arcing in the event of a major power surge. Obviously I can't comment at this point about how the item works.

I have been a fan of Tripp Lite since I read about it in Consumer Reports at least 20 hears ago. I read about this one on AVS Forum. It was a very comprehensive review and it was very thorough. I especially like the fact that this model quits working when it no longer protects. That way you don't have to worry about whether the unit is still working or not and you don't lose valuable electronics that mean a lot to you. This thing is built like a tank as all Tripp Lite products are. I think they are the best. This unit has four plug-ins that are designed to accommodate block plugs. That is very helpful! I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a superb surge protector.

Great strip, mounts where I want, does what it should.
I like the form factor of the strip, with the spacing for transformers, and more than enough outlets for all of my devices. Also from what I've read from other sources, the best protection for my devices!

I have this mounted to my computer desk to get it off the floor as its about 11 inches by 5 inches wide. I have several computer components hooked to this like cable modems, printers, external hard-drives etc. I think its a shame the electric plugs have become so big and several plug in sideways now. This surge suppressor allows me to hook them all in. It is all around well designed and allows me to use one surge protector instead of two and it appears to be superior in quality. There are many good reviews of this product.

I would recommend so far.
I used this surge protector to plug in a small stereo, a small tv, a small lamp, and a digital converter with an antenna full time. I plug in an iMac and a couple of exterrnal drives as well to make sure they are protected,
I rely on the many positive reviews of this product. I also agree that initially it was difficult to plug in many of the devices but after use this ceased to be.

I was looking for a quality product to assist in wire management for my home entertainment center. After doing extensive research for something that could help wire cable management AND would protect my expensive electronic equipment, I decided upon the Tripp-Lite. I was sure with Tripp-Lite's excellent reputation and great reviews I could rest easy with the decision to purchase this unit. Great surge protector that is worth every single penny
I bought three (3) of these power surge protectors and I couldn't be happier. In my job, we use tripplite surge protectors and for a good reason- it is the best product. I researched this product for days and found it to be rated superior by a number of independent resources. The surge protector itself looks smart, it fits nicely, long cord and I have peace of mind knowing it will protect my valuable electronics.

Bought 2 units after getting a surge of some sort that blew out my TV, Blu-Ray, Firestick, and Receiver box. Had my old protectors for years - still lit up and providing power...I did not know that just because they provided power, they were not protecting my things. That's why I looked for another protector that tells me truly - when the lights go out - YOU HAVE NO PROTECTION. I would have purchased new ones had I known this. Tripp-Lite does this and is one of not very many that I found.

Best surge protecotor on the market..
Tripp Lite has don it again. We have several Tripp lite surge protectors that we have in use for 8 to 10 years. We needed another one for a mountain cabin so we tried two other brands (no Tripp Lite available locally) and returned them because the outlets were too close for the plug ins and their warranty was not as good a Tripp-Lite..
The bottom line is if you want a quality product with good warranty, get a Tripp-Lite

I bought the Tripp Lite surge protector based on the recommendation and related detailed article on surge protectors on the Wirecutter site. The research indicates that having a protector that shuts down when it is no longer functional is the safest way to protect your equipment. Then you know that it is time to replace it because (surprise!) they do not last forever. Also the 10 outlets provide plenty of connectivity and the equipment coverage provides some peace of mind. It's all good.

Good protection from power surges
Several neighbors suffered extensive damage from a nearby lightning strike which made me think about my surge protection. I installed the Tripp-Lite TLP1008TEL Surge Protector behind my entertainment center after reading good reviews about it. The specifications of 2395-Joule protection, response time < 1 ns, clamping voltage of 150V with a 400V let-through rating all sound like this should give me good protection from potential surges.

So far I have no complaints the first one I received the green light showing protected was not working, call the company they sent one right away, new one work great. I like the warranty that come with, try it you will like it. You want go wrong if you use Tripp Lite products. I do I am gadget kind of gal, if don't work I will send it back, this is a keeper

A Surge Protector that turns off when compromised
This surge protector has several excellent features. It is the first I have ever encountered that will shut off if protection is compromised; others give no warning unless the power surge is strong enough to leave visible damage. It also has 10 outlets, 8 of them spaced far enough apart to handle bulky power supplies. Other handy features include a side plug and protection for phone lines.

I liked this surge protector so much that I bought a second
I bought my first 10-outlet surge protector for my media center. It was easy to set up. I liked it so much that I bought a second one (to replace a very old surge protector) for my computer room. I like the LED lights that tell you if the protector is working and if it is properly grounded.

Works well.. Received quicky.. Very happy
I'm very happy with my purchase. It works as I intended it to do. However, my bad, I should've measured correctly. I needed 12ft cord instead of 8ft. Anyway, I had to do rearrange my setup a bit but nothing dramatic.

I trust this product and would buy again
I have my computer, printer, shredder and modem connected to the surge protector. I like the fact that you can connect phone cables to it.

I am not wealthy by any means; my computer and printer was a high end investment and one I cannot risk at losing. We tend to get constant lightening storms, here in Florida, and I was stressed each day wondering if I my computer would still have life when I returned home. I now have peace of mind knowing that my Tripplite will protect me and if for some reason it fails ... the warranty will take over. Thank you Tripplite, you are a Godsend!

Already bought a second one!
I love the fact that if and when the surge protection is compromised, this strip will stop powering your devices. The spacing and number of outlets is very convenient. The on/off switch and light on the top are also well placed.

Excellent solid construction.

I'm glad I bought this surge protector
This surge protector is an excellent one for my needs, with a little more than enough outlets, and a thoughtful design that spaces those out so your plugs (especially for transformers) don't get crowded. But the issue that sold me was that this surge protector will quit functioning and shut down completely when it has lost its ability to still suppress surges. My former s.p. didn't do that -- I don't know if it was still working adequately or not -- how could I -- it's lights all still glowed. How could I test it -- engineer a big load on it? -- I wouldn't know how to do that.

I picked this as a result of the reviews. My electronics are vital to keep going all the time. Living in a region of severe thunderstorms this appears to be quality insurance. I've only been using it about 10 days, so a better review isn't yet in order. Currently in a thunderstorm, things could change

Tripp-lite has a great reputation, the SPD has nicely spaced outlets with dust covers for the outlets not used. Plenty big with a long cord, works great for my entertainment center

I would buy this product again.
This product is used to protect 3 computers, a printer and a external hard drive. It worked properly right out of the box. I like the built in circuit breaker feature that will trip in the case of a circuit overload. I also like the fact that it stops functioning in the event of a power surge thereby avoiding damage to equipment plugged into the protector if the surge protection feature is damaged during the surge.
