Recycled Pressboard Folders with Two SafeSHIELD Coated Fasteners, 1/3-Cut Tabs, 3" Expansion, Legal

These folders are the best! My office uses 2 prong file folders for all of our files, and the coating on these fasteners makes a HUGE difference. Our files see a lot of wear-and-tear as they are frequently updated, and I often experience problems with the fasteners bending in the middle or cutting the papers (and sometimes cutting my fingers) as I repeatedly add and remove documents. These fasteners stay straighter and don't cut the paper or, more importantly, me! I also like that they expand at the bottom so I don't have to use multiple file folders for the same type of documents--it makes my files look much neater.

I have been using these folders for years. Very durable and strong. I won't use any other brand.

I use these folders all the time to organize employee personal files, the fasteners really help keep the papers in place especially when I have a lot of paperwork! Great Value!

I only order this file folder for all of our business projects. The use of this folder allows our company to access the file on a day to day basis, taking papers in and out of the file fasteners without the fasteners breaking or becoming loose from the file itself. The file can be handled by a number of people without the file ever tearing or becoming weak. Now that's my kind of file folder!

These folders are great for medical records. The 2 pronged clips are solid.

I maintain 100+ personnel files for my company and I constantly add/remove paperwork from the tabs. These folders hold up really well and no more painful cuts thanks to the safe shield! :-)

My only complaint about this folder is that, while I like the idea of the SafeSHIELD Coasted Fasteners, they are not attached to the file correctly and pull out far too easily. They SHOULD be attached through the back of the file as the old fasteners were. As is, they are NOT made for large, bulky files that get plenty of use. I work for a CPA firm and I KNOW large, bulky files - and have to repair these all the time. Just change how the fastners are attached to the files and these will be perfect.

I work in a law office and we use these daily! We're constantly ordering more to keep up with our inventory of new cases. These are sturdy and last a really long time! These make keeping files neat and organized a breeze! Letters and correspondence on the left and pleadings on the right! Couldn't get much simpler than that!

These are the best heavy duty folders...they are pricy...but you get what you pay for here. I've had flies dated back for 8 years and they are in great shape!

This is a great product. Really durable and keeps me organized.

I love the new safety coating on the Smead pressboards. They save me from many cuts and helps the folders slide into file cabinets much easiler since there is no metal prong backing holepunched on the outside. These pressboards are very durable. I am still reusing some from 20 years ago. I did buy more for the new safety coating.

My office uses these folders everyday. They are the best for quality and functionality. For depandability and durability get organized and use the Smead Pressboard Fastener File Folder 14920.

I work for a government agency and we manage files for over 500 individuals. This product is perfect for our our use; And this product is durable so we know it will last for years to come.

There we were, adrift in a sea of inadequate folders looking for signs of something solid on which we could depend. Then we spotted the well groomed jib of the Smead Expanding Pressboard Fastening File Folder on the internet. We had been a victim of the online fly by night ne ‘r do wells before so we proceeded with caution ordering just a few boxes, but when we received the chosen few...it was obvious there would be a new kid in filing town. "Man the filing cabinets and stoke the recycling fires!" We were going to replace our files tout de suite. Or, at least as fast as Purchasing could cut a check. This tale ends happily ever after, as will yours if you order the same.

I would recommend this product for anyone who needs to keep a large number of papers in the correct order.

Am impressed that the metal clasps are reinforced with a plastic sleeve for more durability. The folders hold up well over the years, too!

I love these heavy duty folders.  They are so good for Resident files.  We have so many documents and with the flimzy other products I have bought in the past, I have had them start ripping and falling apart.  These are great!

We use these folders for our grant project that mandates us to keep extensive files on students in the grant programs. I specifically bought the folders with the coated prongs because I remember cutting my fingers when using this type of folder years ago, so I think it's a great feature. I use removable name labels which come off these folders easily so we can reuse them when students drop out of a program.  I also like that both sides of the folder have prongs so we can sort out the records we place in the file.

I am a lawyer. It is important for me to keep documents for years. These file folders are awesome! They are a nice pastel color, which is nice when differentiating from the vanilla manilla folders. They are strong and durable! I love them. I don't use anything else. Worth the quality. Don't be afraid... try them!

These are great sturdy files to use for organizing papers that you don't want to fall out. One side I use for policy's or contracts and the other side is used for statements.

We use this product for loan files and there is a lot of paper in the file.  This product is sturdy and long lasting.

We use these file folders for all of our patient files. Very "tough"...can pull files by tabs and they don't tear, if they slide off the desk the chart doesn't fall apart, etc. Sometimes the spine tape will loosen but nothing that good packing tape won't fix.  Wish they were the same price as top tab folders, but at least the price isn't ridiculously higher :-)

SMEAD folders are in constant use at my company, being pulled in and out of filing cabinets, and having documents added to the folders.  These folders have outstanding durability and are able to withstand vigorous use year after year. With the coated metal fasteners I never have to worry about cuts.

these are by far the best file folder, particularly for legal work.  Durable and sturdy.  My only complaint - the packaging.  You get left, center, and right tabs for labeling but they are grouped that way in the box so you end up using all of one kind.  They should be boxed left, center, right (or vice versa).  This would make them easier to see in a file with multiple folders.

As far the best file folder I use for my work. They don't bend, they protect documents very well, they look professional. That's something I want to use. The only thing I don't like is that once labeled, it's really hard to remove the label without leaving mark on the folder. This is the main problem for all filing folders though.

we use these classification folders along with bottom tab inserts to make for compact, economical, filing of multiple documents for each case or project. everything is neatly organized into the one folder so anyone in the office can just grab it and go.

It is nice to have a folder that allows easy organization of documents.
