I am a mom of twin girls, one who contracted salmonella over the Christmas holiday last year after a dinner banquet at a restaurant. I have been worried ever since about the cleanliness of my home kitchen and cooking products after seeing her not feel well. Researching products I stumbled across this one and liked all the benefits of the brand as well as the beliefs of the brand to reduce unnecessary chemicals.\

I tried this over a two week period and I was astounded at how well the auto dish packs cleaned my dishes and made them smell great as well as shine from the wash. I also loved the product's lack of chemicals and could tell a difference in the way it cleaned where as other brands I used were harsh and left a gritty feel on my dishes occasionally. \

This detergent works great for me. It gets all of my dishes clean. It doesn't leave any residue or weird smell compared to other detergent packs I've used in the past. I will now switch to this brand. I received this product for free.

I love this dishwasher soap. Love the pods, even thought sometimes the stick together and break. I wash my kid's stuff with our dishes and I love how natural the product is. Is not super aggressive and my dishes are clean. \

This product cleans as well as any other dishwasher detergent I have tried, including leading brands. One thing that is better than many other brands is that it does not leave a scent behind. Silicone coffee mug lids have taken on the scents of other detergents and so I had to hand wash them; however this is not the case with Seventh Generation Auto Dish Packs. \

I love that I can feel comfortable using these in case my dishwasher ever fails and doesn't get all the "soap off". I wouldn't want harsh chemicals being left on my plates, and this is a relief.\

Lately, I have been more conscious of the products and chemicals I bring home to my kids. \
I recently tried these Powerful Clean Dishwasher Detergent packs and I loved them. Not only because they were convenient but because I knew they are completely safe and free of harmful toxins and chemicals. With 3 kids, I have to protect them as much as I can and I will thanks to Seventh Generation. \
What I really liked was that even after washing, there was no streaks, filminess, or white marks or any smudges. Everything was clean and shiny. Definitely worked well and the packs don't stick to each other or leak like other pods or packs I have tried. So you can use all of them in the package. Other brands and packs clump together and I end up throwing out some because they are so stuck together they are useless but not these. \

I received a whole pack of Auto Dish Packs for free.  I was happy to try them because they did not have benzisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone in this product.  We have recently found out that even though research is still on going that our niece is having a reaction to exposure.  The Doctor has recommended cutting back the direct exposures but we have decided to cut back on all possible exposures to these preservatives. Unfortunately, these ingredients are in a lot of products but that is okay we shall and will make do and the bright side is Seventh Generation has a lot of products out there that we can still use and are using as a replacement.\

These packs were just as amazing as the liquid detergent.  Our dishes, especially the glass ones, come out sparkling clean.  I love it, and I appreciate that there is no residue whether food or just a whitish grime left behind.

I actually was nervous to try these because I haven't used this brand before.. but, they are nice. A bunch of the packs inside of the package were broken up when I got them though.. so, can't use those ones. And they have kind of a funky smell to them.. But, they do clean! And I'm glad there aren't all of the nasty chemicals in them like the other brands!\

I got a sample pack of thisbdetergent from seventh generation and wasn't expecting too much. I mean I use cascade pacs a lot and they do an ok job and they're expensive and have all these added cleaners to them. I used the SG PAC on a FULL load and on a quick clean cycle to really test it out. No prewash or rinse cycle additives. I was shooooocked by how squeaky clean my dishes and baby bottles were!!! Just stunned! I really didn't think it would clean so well. I am very very happy with the results!!!!! Will be buying these from now on!!!

I used these with about how 10 loads of dishes before I decided to write my review just so I could see the full effects of the dishwasher packets and let me tell you these things really work!\
Normally I use the finish brand which doesn't always leave my dishes completely clean and have actually been leaving little soap spots on my glass.\
With generation good dishwasher packs I didn't find any soap spots and my dishes were left completely clean! I was very impressed not only did my dishes come out clean but when I opened my dishwasher I could actually smell the soap and cleanliness of the dishes which was a HUGE plus for me!!\
I also really liked the fact that it didn't leave behind any soap residue like some other brands of dishwasher packets do!\
All in all I think they're great and work extremely well I will be purchasing again!

They do not leave any residue that some dish washer packs leave behind and they get my dishes nice and clean. The only negative I have is that there is a very strong unpleasant odor when I open the bag. Otherwise it's a wonderful product.

At first I thought the packet must get stuck in the dispenser and not dissolve all the way, but had no issues with that.  Never found any residue inside the machine.\

I liked the fact that it was completely scent-free.  I much prefer that over synthetic aromas or even essential oils because they're usually too strong (too smelly) for me.\

Overall these did a decent job of cleaning.  I really have no complaints, but overall I think the dishes were a tad less shiny than with my normal brand.  However, since I tend to have to switch around a lot or eventually the dishes stop getting clean, I will probably use Seventh Generation as one of my switch-out brands when I need to take a break from my usual brand.\

I love the way these clean my dishes. I don't feel like I need to wash or rinse my dishes prior to washing as I have with other dish tabs.

I was skeptical that something that was so pure and simple, with no harsh chemicals, would actually clean. Well, it absolutely does! My dishes are sparkling clean with no residue and my glasses are spotless!! I'm so happy that I was able to try these!!

I received some dish packs for free and absolutely loved them!! they actually worked. I don't have a water softener and live in the city on city water, so getting anything clean can be a challenge, especially if I don't rinse the dishes thoroughly before using the dishwasher. This defeats the purpose of using less water when you have to rinse so much, so I was excited to see if these would actually work. And the did!! Didn't have to rinse thoroughly, just did a gentle rinse, and ALL my dishes came out sparkling clean. My dishes are white, and there were no streaks or gunk. I love that they are toxin free. Even works on the kids dishes, and on the glasses there were no streaks and grime, I love this dish detergent. It's amazing and works so well. \

So many times plant based detergents and soaps don't work at getting off tough stains, grease and living a streak free look to the dishes, and this product actually did!! The Seventh Generation Automatic Dishwasher detergent packs are convenient and easy to use. You don't have to measure it and there is no mess. I was given the opportunity to try the Auto Dish Packs and have to say I am impressed. I share the responsibility of dishes with others in my household so to know that they are using the appropriate amount of dish detergent each time is great! These clean the dishes well, ( even the stuck on foods). I have used the normal free and clear liquid from seventh generation and it comparable to it. From what I can find on it, the pricing is not to bad. But if you have to do multiple loads a day/week it can add up. \

I would consider the dish packs to be an acceptable option for the dishwasher.  It is "natural," leaves no funky smells, and cleans the dishes pretty well. It might be a nice option for those who like the convenience of a pack, as opposed to pouring out powder or soap/gel, or for a family in which children might be helping to start the dish washer (and don't regulate the amount of soap/gel poured in too well yet).  It might be a nice option for traveling (as when one stays in an airbnb place where there is a dishwasher available); carrying little packs as opposed to loose powder is much more appealing.   \

We did notice that the first time we used the packs there was a residue left on the dishes (kind of powdery-feeling :P ) and a slight smell (not a chemical scent, but a slight "ick" smell, though I will admit that I am very particular about scents in our home ;) ).  That initially turned me off from the packs, but we kept trying them out, and by the second or third pack and dishwasher cycle we went through, our clean dishes emerged from the dishwasher; they once again looked similar to how they come out when we have used the powder.  \

I honestly will probably not buy these packs often, because the powder seems much more affordable (I think it's nearly $5 cheaper for more product) and is not difficult to use.  But it is nice to know there are other "safe" options available for our beloved household appliance, the dishwasher. ;) .

I have been using a Seventh Generation dish washing pac every other day for about a month now. I like that it is scent free and it does clean most of my dishes well even without pre-rinsing. My only issue is that it does not clean plastic/Tupperware type containers well. I pack lunches in plastic reusable/dishwasher safe containers everyday but have to hand wash them because these pacs leave either soap, water-stains or food behind. I guess if you use glass food containers than you wouldn't have a problem. I should do that too since plastic is evil and all that. Keeping my dishes clean is important to me but my dish packs also have to be family friendly and easy to use. These Seventh Generation packs are biodegradable and gentle enough to be used daily and be safe for your dishes and your family. The packs are super easy to use, just grab and go and my dishes look awesome. I am amazed at the power of these packs and am happy to give my family another natural option to keep the chemicals away. The only thing I disliked is the price which I find it a lil pricey considering there are just 20 packs.

I've had success with other brands of free and clear pods in my dishwasher, but these pods leave tons of residue on glass items, especially those on the top rack of the dishwasher.  Very disappointing when you have to hand scrub half the items that come out of your dishwasher after the wash cycle is done.  Do not recommend!

They are now scented, fairly strongly, despite claiming not to be.  I will be returning these.

Like another person review said I am having to reclean my top rack because of excess residue left from these pods.  I got mine through The Grove Collobrative.  Going back to what I was using.

I always look for products that dont have a lot of chemicals and artificial ingredients, especially when it comes to washing my dishes. This cleans my dishes and I trust that I am not ingesting a ton of chemicals when I use my dishes.

Seventh generation free and clean dishwasher packs are great!! They are easy to use, just pop in the dishwasher!! They rinse away all dirt and food. Best of all they do not leave a residue. I use these all the time.

I tried making my own but a friend recommended I try seventh generation and Im so glad I did! They are affordable, safe and free from chemicals. I love the ease of popping one in my dishwasher. My dishes always come out clean and Ive never had a problem with water spots.

They’re really not that great. We recently switched our house to dye free / no harsh chemical household solutions and got these to use in the dishwasher and honestly, they aren’t very powerful. Every time we’ve used them we’ve had to release multiple dishes, polish water stains and are frustrated. We love other SG products but these just don’t compare

We love these pods and they work great! Only thing is theyre a little bit larger than most brands and our dishwasher was made for the normal sizes so they dont dissolve fully in the small spot designated for it, but we just toss it in the bottom and it works the same!
