These are the greatest notebooks ever, but I really miss the old "Mead Composition Book" label. It was a classic.

I use this product for journal and it does exactly as need I love the cover and the durability of this composition notebook my kids use this same product at school

I noticed that the look of the composition book has been upgraded. The sheets seem a little thicker then they used to be. i was able to write with a marker and it didn't bleed through. Its a good notebook for taking notes, journal or for kids doodling.

I like it for taking notes and making lists. But when it comes to tearing pages out it's not so good. All in all I like it

I'm a teacher and found this notebook too be of high quality and will deffinetly be purchasing more,being a teacher lots of notes need too be taken on a daily basis and this notebook is perfect for that,I absolutely love this product!

I am a freelance Makeup Artist so I am always taking notes and composing my schedule for the months ahead. I prefer using composition books over a standard notebook because of the binding making it more difficult for pages to tear out. The Mead Black Marble Composition  Book is perfect. It is very sturdy, the paper does not bleed through and it white instead of off white/cream like other brands. I was originally sent this product complimentary for testing purposes and have since gone and purchased multiple back ups for myself as well as for my children. This is definitely a product I will continue to buy for years to come.

I have the joy of homeschooling my children so we are always on the lookout for good quality products. I was excited when asked to try the Mead Black Marble Composition Book. My son is an avid note taker and journal writer so he was the perfect person to test it. He loves this notebook. I think it's easier for him to use since it doesn't have the rings and doesn't hurt his hand. I've purchased a few composition books in the past but I always go back to the spiral bound notebooks because I thought they were better quality. Now, I'm sold. I would definitely recommend these notebooks and I am pretty sure that he'll be asking for these from now on!

Writing my journal, notes and budget. Will buy for kids for school

I have used this product and love it.  It has bright colors and small but real good to budget finances in or write reveries or to use for a argument book for a kid that is in school

I use tgis product to keep up with notes, appointments,  and just to simply write. No cons, just great.

I get these for my kids to use for school or to journal in.  I will pay extra for this brand of composition cause other cheap ones seem to fall apart.  I was very aware of this product before I tried it out and still love it over others.  The binding is very sturdy and the front and back are good quality.  The only hard thing is you don't want to use it for something you need to rip the paper out of cause that's hard.  I would recommend the mead black Composition book to family and friends.

This is a good quality composition book. I've found that regardless of brand, the binding is a little stiff and you have to push the book down a bit to flatten the page you're writing on. That's just the nature of a composition book. But in other aspects, I find the Mead composition book to be of higher quality. The pages are a nice thickness; writing doesn't show through the other side. The pages are crisp and bright with distinct lines. Tearing out a page was slightly easier than the store brand books I've used, but it still wasn't a clean tear. The cover is pretty sturdy and protects the pages well. It's easy to transport and overall a great notebook.

I have been using Mead products for years and this composition notebook is the perfect size for everyday use.  It fits perfectly in my bag and I can make needed notes as my day goes along.  I have never had any issues with Mead products and this black Marbled composition is no exception.  This is a true classic.  My kids use these as journals and for notes.  I have tried other products and I always come back to the quality of Mead!

This is and always will be my #1 choice when it comes to wrtting. I love journaling an so writting short stories even a daily journal entry And always choose this to keep my things safe. It's durable and lasts.

Is it true that the "09910" is now a different product?  Is it true that the 0.044" cover thickness has been reduced to a floppy 0.017" thickness?  
I find note-taking with the book in my lap or on the seat of my truck to have changed from "very suitable" to "almost unusable".
Maybe it saves you money but it's costing in our productivity.
