Sure Start Packaging Tape with Dispenser, 1.5" Core, 1.88" x 22.2 yds, Clear

I use this tape for shipping online orders for a year now. Very easy to use with the dispenser and cutting blade, never have to find the opening and scissors again. Strong and durable tape that holds the carton in great condition when it is delivered to the customer, even when the carton is huge and heavy! We often receive compliments on our packing, and thanks to Scotch for such a great product! This is the only shipping tape that we would ever use.

Scotch is the only brand I purchase for shipping packages. It's the best product that i don't have to double layers of tape on the boxes I send..like a friend of mine does when she mails packages. She's wasting money using so much tape. Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape saves me money and is a quality product. I'll never switch.

I use thise tape all the time and it's so convenient , unwinding quickly and strong so I can securely use less. I always have plenty on hand for items I must get out! It always looks professional.

As advertised, this tape starts easily. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing I can say about it. It sticks very poorly, rendering it almost useless as shipping tape. It also cuts very poorly using a standard shipping tape dispenser, perhaps because it comes off the roll so easily and thus doesn't provide enough tension for the dispenser to work. Ultimately, I'm extremely dissatisfied with this product.

Bought this tape in a 3 roll pack. Sorry now that i did. Not sticky enough, useless as a packaging tape. Worst feature is how easy tape comes off the roll. Picked it up and about 20 feet of tape on the floor as it rolled away.Had to buy different tape to complete  the packing job. Stay away. You have been warned.Would have rated zero stars if possible.

I love this sure start tape.  It is easy to use and sticks well. A few times I had to go the the library to print shipping labels as my printer was not working.  When I used a different 3M Scotch tape I was told I was making too much noise inside the library.\
This tape is great for packages and shipping labels. I only wish I could still find it in the 22.2 yd size

This tape works well for taping boxes for shipping.  I like that it's a bit thicker than normal packing tape, on top of that it is very easy to start!\

This is a great tape for any type of box that needs to be sealed up good. This stuff stays in place even in my hot storage unit!

This has always been a great tape to use. Sometimes a little tight to get it rolling. Works well and cuts well.

I usually purchase off-brand packing tape to save money, but when I got a chance to use this free sample from 3M - what a difference!  It sticks really well and worth paying for.

After receiving this as a part of a tester board. I used it to move some relatively heavy boxes. Worked as well if not better than other 3m products.

Easy to use, tape adheres well. Does unroll quieter and easier than normal.

By far, this was the easiest and quietest packing tape I've ever used.  Didn't have to search for the beginning of the tape to get the roll started. No annoying schreaching noises either. 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate.

Have you ever been packaging up something to send to someone or even packing several boxes to ship and the loud, noisy sound coming from the tape dispenser was about to get on your last nerve? I know I have, and worse, I've even scared nearby family/friends because of the unexpected, loud, & obtrusive noise those packing tape dispensers make! Thanks to 3M's new Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape, I no longer have to be concerned about that issue. In fact, I can do my packaging late at night and not have to worry about waking anyone up now! In addition to that, this tape starts and stops seamlessly without fraying or splitting! Not having to spend ten minutes trying to get the roll of tape back to an even rolling pattern when it splits/tears is wonderful! As busy as my schedule is a lot of days, it's so nice to have another tool/product that makes your life easier and more productive and the Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape does just that and without compromising the excellent quality we already love with 3M Scotch Packaging Products! Needless to say, I'll definitely be stocking up on this new packing tape!!

I was sent a sample of the 3M shipping tape and right away noticed a difference in ease of use and quality from the shipping tape I had been using. Great product!

I have used this tape in the past and had no worries about my package holding up through the mail process.

Starting to use this roll of tape was hard, as the end started to come apart into several smaller strands of tape.  Once I got it started though, it was very easy to use!  The tape itself sticks well to packages, and it doesn't get tangled.  Once a roll has been started, the dispenser has a good place to put the new end, so the user doesn't have to pick at it to get it started again each time.

I had a few boxes I was looking to reinforce with tape and this stuff filled the bill.  The tear off was so crisp and the next segment was ready to go.

This tape arrived just in the nick of time!  I was already in the process of packing up to move and had grabbed some tape from the same place I got boxes...let's just say, it was pretty lackluster!  As soon as it arrived, I started using this packaging tape and the experience was MUCH IMPROVED.  I've always liked Scotch-brand tape because it performs well and after using a different brand, I don't think I'll ever switch.  I only had to tape the boxes along the seams once and I never felt like they would fall apart.  Also, this version was much easier to unwind and tear than previous versions, so the upgrade is great!  I will continue using this tape as I pack and once this roll runs out I will definitely purchase more!

I received this sample to try last week.  I was very impressed with how easy it was to use, it comes out neat and isn't difficult to pull out.  I felt like it was a very heavy duty tape and holds very well

I've been using 3M-Scotch shipping tape for years.  It's great quality, crystal clear, and easy to use.  How could it be improved?  Surprisingly, it was!  The Sure Start lives up to it's name  Each time I've used it, I haven't had to fumble with getting it started - something I was just accustomed to.  The coolest part though is the quick, smooth pull.  My first time using it I pulled as normal, and got a lot of tape.  Wow... it releases wonderfully smoothly and quietly.  I've mailed several packages with it now & it really makes packaging items simple. Thanks 3M!

3M sent me the Scotch Sure Start packing tape to review and I have to say I'm impressed! The dispenser is pretty normal, but the tape itself makes packing and shipping stress free. The tape dispenses pretty easily, still nice and sticky, but doesn't rip length wise, so you're not sitting there scratching at clear shreds of tape trying to find the end (I know I've been there)\
Overall it held up pretty well during the shipping process, which gives it two big thumbs up!

Reviewing a free sample from 3m. The Sure Start tape was high quality tape, easy to use and apply. I didn’t see a big extra benefit to the Sure Start label. Whether the tape does or doesn’t roll back into the tape roll still depends on how the user uses the tape and finishes with the end. But, again, quality packing tape as always.

I used this pack up some keepsakes and it was easy to use, easy to tear and easy to find the end. What more could you ask for?d

First, what I like: the refillable plastic dispenser is superb. It's designed with little plastic tabs on either side, underneath the blade, so that after you cut off your preferred length of tape, the end of the tape no longer flops down on the roll, leaving you to have to turn the roll around and around until you find the start. I received a sample roll of the Sure Start tape and loved how easily it rolls across the package.  Most of all, I loved how quiet it was when dispensing.  I have used other tapes that are very noisy and hard to maneuver, but that is not the case with the Sure Start.  I will be buying this in the future.

I was given this product as a free sample in exchange for my review.  I used it this tape early this morning to prepare a box for shipping and was pleasantly surprized to find that I did not wake up my whole family.  Usually tape makes a very distinctive noise and this one is silent!  As usual, it is a 3M sticky product and it works just like it should, nice and sticky.  Dispenser was a little confusing at first, but once I used it, it made perfect sense.  Another great Scotch 3M product

The tape itself did the job I need it to do, but I did have to press down on it with my hands to make sure it stuck to my boxes. Excellent clarity for taping on shipping labels. The dispenser is useful for larger boxes, but as I was shipping out smaller packages, it felt a bit unwieldy to use.

I am often shipping boxes and of all the packaging tapes this is so far the best one! It really sticks and keeps boxes closed, all my boxes were received with no issues.

The tape is great, just like all 3M packing tapes.  Good quality and keeps my boxes and packages sealed tight.   Easy to use the first time and the next.  \

I recently had to tape shut a large, heavy box.  Scotch Easy Unwind Packaging Tape made it simple.  It was easy to find the end of the roll of tape and it unwound smoothly using one hand.\

I got this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I regularly use tape around the house and office; my major problem is to start the tape, it does take time and I was excited to find out there is a tape that won’t have this problem. So far, I can say the tape is super easy to start, I just love to spend my time in the actual packaging rather than the tape going messy on me. I don’t give this product 5 stars just because I need to verify how good it stays in place over time.

This product was sent to me for review and I put it to work on a return shipment I needed to make. The tape came right off the roll easily, stuck fast, and was strong enough to handle the books banging around inside the box. Definitely helpful.

I received a roll of this Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape free from 3M and was ready to put it to the test.  I have used it for a while now, since these pictures were taken upon taping up my first box with it.  I am happy to report that it works great.  The tape glides smoothly in the dispenser and tears cleanly with ease.  The tape adheres well to boxes and the like, but is surprisingly easy to re-start if you drop it and it sticks back to itself completely.  Definitely recommend!

I received this from #M to test, but I have bought it in the past.  It's my go to for packing boxes.  it's always the best for packing in that it stays stuck and with the dispenser it's easy to use.

These smaller width rolls of ScotchВ® Sure Start Shipping Packing Tape, 1.88"W x 25 yds., Clear, 6 Rolls, are well priced and much less wasteful than the larger width rolls. I highly recommend them

As someone who has a toddler who’s inexplicably terrified of packaging tape noise, this one is great! Seems to hold strongly and can find the start easily. Is it the best value? I’m not sure. \
