This does not print even close to 4500 pages

I have ordered 3 of these high yield print cartridges and none of them have been even CLOSE to the advertised number of pages (and I only purchase genuine brother toner). The printer starts giving you a message about being "low" on toner far before it is. You can cancel this but after a few times it locks you out and you CANNOT USE THE DEVICE until you replace the toner, even if the print quality is perfect and there is plenty of toner left. False advertising for sure. The smart chip counts pages and does not actually assess how much ink is used. So if you print 4000 blank pages you will throw out an essentially full toner.

Reset

The thing that brother does not tell you is that you have to reset the counter on the printer when you change the toner. I work for a doctor's office and the ladies were seemingly running through toner quickly. Unfortunately I have to google how to reset the counter because the information is not on the printer or toner paperwork where it obviously should be. It should last longer once the counter is reset.
