Tough Grip Moving Packaging Tape, 3" Core, 1.88" x 54.6 yds, Clear

Bought this to pack boxes for storage. Loaded the next day to move and all tape came off.  Did not stick for even 12 hours. Worthless.

We have used 3M Tapes in all their forms and shapes for as long as I can remember.  Scotch Tough Grip Tape is yet another homerun by 3M.  It is tough, easy to use and stays put as it should be.  I received a free sample to test and review and I could not be happier

This is the smoothest operatingId tape I've ever used.  It takes almost no effort to unroll.  Smooths out on the surface to which it is applied and stays stuck!  Very pleased with this tape.

I sometimes have to ship stuff or pack things for moving and I always go for Scotch moving tape because I know it won't give out. That kind of peace of mind is priceless when moving important goods or delicate items! One time a box got wet and the cardboard gave out before the tape even budged. It even stayed on wet cardboard! Amazing. I got this for free to review but all opinions are my own :)

This is a great tool for packing boxes, especially when you're moving.  The package that acts as the dispenser isn't bulky or obtrusive like some professional tape guns, but this gets the job done and fits well in your hand.  It feels solid.

I am so surprised on how strong & durable this Tape is. I absolutely love how easy it is to use but most of all that I don’t have to worry once it sealed. Must have period!

I really liked how strong this tape is. You can tell right away that it's meant for heavy duty use. It didn't feel cheap or flimsy and the dispenser works just like it should. \

Since we have to pack things for a move next year, we need sturdy tape for putting packed boxes on storage.  This tape did he trick.  I did receive it as a sample from 3M but I will be happy to purchase some myself.  Thick and strong tape on solid dispenser and kept tape in one big piece!

This tape and integrated design is easy to use, with one handed operation. The tape is strong and will hold well.. You won't have to worry about the bottom of boxes blowing out.

I received this as a promotional sample from 3M. This Moving Tape comes off the roll better and smoother than the normal Packing tape I usually use. It adhered quickly and cleanly to both cardboard and paper surfaces.

I used this to secure a box for transport. The dispenser worked great, tape came out easily & kept the box tightly secured. Great product

I got the tape as a free sample and love it. I recently packed up several boxes to ship and never had to worry about a thing. Held up great!

I got this free from 3m in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Removing the yellow tag paper covering the blade was a bit difficult. The is a serrated flap that if not removed a certain way,  will leave part of the tag paper still hooked to the dispenser (see video). You'll have to be very careful not to cut yourself when trying to rip it. The scissors might be a safer route. I actually left it as is and in my case, it didn't affect the quality of use.\

The box I had to tape up was torn in corners and would definitely rip even more during transit if not secured properly.\

The first thing I noticed was how QUIET it was when reeling out! Normally, you would hear that obnoxious tape-screeching noise when going from one end to the other. It is very discreet when any noise is made at all. Thumbs up for that. \

Secondly, the thickness of this tape is a plus. It sealed my box corners and tears effortlessly.\

A hidden feature that i appreciate is the fact the tape is clear. This makes it harder for unwanted guests to attempt to peel open my package because you can't really tell where to peel if you double/triple seal it.\

I noticed the dispenser was a bit flimsy, but later discovered the hinge inside of the roll was loose. After closing it, it was sturdy again and did not loosen when using repeatedly. \

The tabs to catch the tape from sticking back on to the roll was very clever and a huge time-saver. We all know how annoying it is to try and find the end!\

Overall, great product and I am absolutely impressed. Unpacking for use just needs to be worked on. Perhaps, a sliding blade cover would be a nice touch for the next generation of tape dispensers? Just a safety measure thought. =D

I really liked this packing tape compare to most.  It adhered well and was easy to pack my box.  I have used other tapes and felt this one worked very well.

This tape is really easy to use as there's little resistance when you're using it. It just zips on quickly to your package. I love knowing it can hold up to 80 lbs because I know it will stay put & keep even my heaviest packages together.

I received this product free from 3M to evaluate.  I was pleasantly surprised how quiet this tape is as it dispenses off the roll.  I thought this might be because it is less sticky than other, more noisy packing tape, but no!  It holds strong and is easy to cut from the roll using the dispenser provided.

This moving tape is greatly improved! It is surprisingly quiet & so easy to dispense. It sticks really well & is holding up just as it should. I am very pleased.

This tape is perfect for sealing boxes for moving.  I recently had to move some items in boxes and Tough Grip moving tape is stronger than regular packing tape.  It is easy to dispense and there is a large amount of tape on the roll. I highly recommend it for sealing very heavy boxes.   You can rely on this tape to stay sealed.

I used Scotch Tough Grip Moving Packaging Tape with Dispenser to tape a cardboard box filled with books and it held perfectly!  This is a great tape to use when packing boxes to move that are filled with heavy items or when shipping heavy boxes.  The label says it "secures up to 80 pounds".  I trust the Scotch brand and I like knowing that this tape is made for those times when I've got boxes filled with a substantial amount. Having the attached cutting dispenser makes it so much easier to use!

My family is helping downsize a relative's home, and we used this packing tape when putting together and sealing the cardboard boxes. A few of the boxes were extremely heavy, but the tape kept the bottoms from falling out. We were really happy that we did not have to repack those boxes..\

Tape is strong and really sticks. The only drawback is the weird glue small.

Just exactly what I needed to use for packing up some boxes. Not only was it super tough, amazingly strong but also perfect for my needs.

I usually go over boxes multiple times with tape to ensure a strong hold, but not this time, this was an amazing grip, will buy again!

I used this primarily to boxed up some stuff that will be given to shelter. This withholds the heavy stuff.

This tape seems to hold really well and has a strong grip on boxes. It's frustratingId when you tape up a box and the tape starts to peel off after you lift.  This tough grip tape solves that problem and sticks really well to boxes.

Didn't see a lot of difference between this packaging tape and dispenser and others, but was pleased with the ease of use and the fact that the tape stuck well and stayed stuck- even in extreme summer heat (without leaving a residue on glass).

This Tape is Awesome, its just the right width to make sure you get optimal coverage.  The tape is tough so you know it wont ripe or fail you.   The dispenser is easy to use and help you in packing up your items.

I use a LOT of packing tape and this one is nice and thick. It has great gripping/holding power and was perfect for what I use it for. One thing I did notice is it tore easily, not across but when tearing across the blades teeth to cut it, it would tear down the piece I was removing, so I inevitably always have a corner missing. That could also mean one of the blades teeth has a burr that I cannot see. I still enjoy the tape, I just tear carefully.
