I'm liking this new version WRT1900ACS with its new features Dual Core 1.6GHz, 128MB flash, & 512 !!!! MB DDR3 RAM !!!. I am currently running 4 pc's and 22 wifi devices connected with no drop. I'm glad I choose this new ACS over any other router out in the market. I also paired this ACS model with Linksys newest switches model WRT8 Ports Gigabyte & with the Linksys model SE3005 /5 ports.... I strongly believe I made the right choice. I would like to see Linksys built a big big FAT wifi router just for the looks.
My last thought, good job Linksys ! WRT1900ACS is a winner..

I bought this router to replace an old Linksys router that was giving me issues. The router setup was wireless and simple. I set this router up with the same settings as my old router and my wireless devices connected with very few issues. So far this seems to be a great router and I am pleased with it's performance.

I've had it a couple weeks now, and I'm really happy with it! I replace an older linksys wireless n router to take advantage of newer 802.11 standards. So far, no issues to report, setup was easy, everything connected, range is great, fast, streaming is instant, what's not to like? I'm not doing anything super sophisticated, but this router has features to grow with should I need them.

There should be a trade-in or rebate program for those that purchased the previous model. I have the WRT1900AC and now there's a newer product WRT1900ACS. This is a great product, but there should be an incentive to upgrade from the previous model.

I bought this router for two reasons. My wireless security cameras were interfering with my air routerHP. Also seemed we struggled a bit having lots of devises connected. The WRT1900 fixed my interference issue. Also handles all our devises. Super easy setup, great product, Thank You!

Instructions Need Improved
I like the router very much once I figured how to install it. The instructions for installation were not clear for someone like me who is OK with that sort of thing. It took me forever to realize that I needed to connect my computer directly to the router to set it up. I'm sure a tech savvy person would had figured this out a lot sooner than me but I have had the same router for over 10 years and do not claim to understand the in's and out's of routers. Why don't you try handing a router and your instructions to a sample group of non-techies and see what issues they have in installing your product the next time. I also purchased a 6400 net extender and I am still unable to figure out how to get my phone to tell me where to find the optimum location for the extender.

I bought this because my other router was constantly requiring to be reset. I don't know whether it was because I upgraded 2 PCs in my house to Windows 10, or whether it had some other stability problem. Either way, this router has been great! I have not had to reset it since I got it, about a month ago. I use it to support 4 phones, 5 PCs and 2 iPads. It has worked flawlessly...

EXCELLENT PRODUCT, EASY INSTALL!
I replaced a very old Linksys router with the new WRT1900ACS by just following the instructions provided. They were simple and everything went the way the instructions predicted. I have never installed any hardware or software with such ease as what the case with the router. I anticipated significant issues with the installation and I was very pleasantly surprised; there were none! I then "hooked up" 8 devices to the new network. Again, not one issue. Finally, the extender that would not work with my old WRT 54 router was set up and functioned exactly as it should. Data transfer was checked at the extender and found to be exactly the same as next to the router. I am 100% pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product strongly. We have an all Apple household with 2 computers, an iPad2, 2 iPhone 6/6s, an Apple TV, and 2 older HP printers that are connected to network via Ethernet cables. I would definitely buy this product again.

Installed a couple of weeks ago. It replaced an older Linksys that was a work horse for many years. Upgraded simply for the advancement in technology. Very easy to set up and has been flawless to date. The quality of streaming video to my Roku box has improved the clarity and I had great clarity with the older model. Went with Linksys as result of great experience with my previous router. As others have commented on, a bit pricey. Have a Roku stick included at no cost helped on the sticker shock even though I have not needed it.

Reliability and Extended Range
I have been using Linksys Routers for quite some time now after switching from Netgear. I setup a network for a small motel using the Linksys EA6900 and have turned it into an access point to use the WRT 1900 ACS. The network map is amazing on the mobile administration app. Very easy setup and great range coverage. Operation is cool with the air flow, a fix from the previous WRT model. Professional packaging and great for business.

Great if you have fast service provider.
I needed more range and after reading reviews and talking to my service provider's tech support I chose the WRT1900ACS . But I was warned that I wouldn't likely see much difference unless my service exceeds 25 Mbps. My area only gets 10 Mbps. Range was slightly improved, speed not at all.

Perfect Router for home use
I bought this about a month ago and I have no problems with it so far. The setup is very easy, within minutes it was setup. The reliability of this unit, is good. There was few occasions that I had to reboot, and one time had to reset the unit. The signal range and the speed are good compared to what I had. Bottom line this router is GOOD and would recommend it.

Mostly Pleased with the WRT1900ACS
I moved from the E3000 to the 1900ACS for two reasons and those were better parent controls and hopefully better wireless coverage. I am pleased with the results in both cases. However, improvements in the guest control feature as well as parental controls would make this a superb router for those needing such features. I have had to restart the router a few times to be able to access the wireless side of the router. Using three different wireless devices produced the same message "unable to authenticate". Once the router was restarted all devices were then able to use the wireless connection. Not really sure why this happens, but it has only happened 3 times in about a month.

Great Router..............
I've bought this to replace an old Linksys router dating back to 2005. I love it. Although some say it's easy to set up, I did have to call Customer Service for tech help. They were fantastic, and had me up and running in no time. Have had no trouble linking all my devices to this router (either of 2 bands). It was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for :-) Yes, I would recommend this router.

Wireless drops out and can't log in without reboot
I'm having multiple problems. It works great when it's freshly rebooted but after a day or so the wireless drops connection and takes a while to restore. In addition about every day or so it won't let you log into the router (even when hardwired) without turning the router off and back on again. I've just sent an email to Linksyscare to see if I can get this resolved. If not, then the router will be going back.

Every other device works just fine, accept my Sony Z5. The issue is only seen when the wi-fi has protection turned on. Then i go from 52 down to 25 down steady.
Upload is 52 as it should be tough. Everything gets normal with password turned off.
My older router works just fine with my Sony Z5, and with the same type of encryption. Also tried with fixed channels. None of them fixed the issue.
The unit is updated, and have i tried another WRT1900ASC unit, with same odd result.
After that i must say that is a great unit. Easy setup and very fast. Works fine with 17 wireless units connected, and 25 LAN - Use it in a store, and at home. Both has the problem with WPA2 turned on, when using my Sony Z5

I have to admit I'm a big Linksys fan. This is the 3rd Linksys router I've owned and I've had very few problems with any of them. This new router replaced my Cisco Valet. I have about 17 wireless items in my house and I needed a router to stream Netflix and Amazon prime. It is much faster than the Valet and and it keeps my streaming videos nice and clear. Set-up was very easy. It might be a bit pricey, but I feel the performance is well worth it.

We bought this to extend the signal across a room for a ethernet connection.
That installation was way beyond what a lay person could be expected to achieve.
We were helped on two occasion by able people from Supportrix, the service you referred us to when we purchased our earlier base router
. All back in order now, but overall it was just too hard. Nothing in the installation CD could have helped us do what these professionals have done.

I bought the WRT1900ACS to replace my WRT54G. The WRT54G is like a Timex watch - it keeps on ticking. The WRT1900ACS seems to be a little faster and is supposed to be dual band but there is no documentation to tell you how to get devices to run on the second band. All the devices run on the same band by default.

Fast, Stable, Problems w Multiple VPN Connections
I have used multiple Linksys routers (the old WRT, EA2500, 4000 and even older ones) and have been generally quite pleased. No dropped signals, good speed (> 200 M with my wireless in the same room, slower in distant parts of the house), good overall interface, good quality and never had one fail in service. Only bought new ones to upgrade. I use an extender upstairs and we have about 10 devices connected, wired and wireless, fast and "drop-free."
However, I have one problem that is a real limit for me - VPN setup. My old routers easily (like no effort) allowed me to connect multiple devices via my office's VPN to my office Microsoft Network and Exchange server (e.g., laptop and desktop) simultaneously. Maybe it's just me.... I have searched online for several hours, including the Linksys Website and can't find the way to connect multiple devices with the 1900 ACS. Maybe it's easy, but I can't find out how to do it. When one device is connected via VPN, the others cannot. Maybe I need a router with an enabled PPTP table editor, but I don't know how to do it.
Is this a change in features from previous routers, or something available that I just can't figure out? I don't want to use open VPN and I already have Microsoft VPN on my office server. If I plug in my old Linksys router, the problem disappears immediately.
Two stars (and I will happily add back, if it's all on me) until this is fixed (? by firmware or some command line programming ?).

Solid Router for Today's Connected Lifestyle
I was previously running the Linksys E8350 when I received the WRT1900ACS to sample and review. My review will focus on the differences between them both. As we get more and more devices in our homes, the need for a more than basic router will arise. The WRT1900ACS fits that bill. It's slightly larger than the E8350, but the flat top is nice for putting a small USB hard drive on.
This is a Linksys Smart WiFi router. My previous one used the classic interface. While I still kind of prefer the classic interface, I have enjoyed what appears to be more port forwarding options. (With so many different computers and devices, the classic interface had a limit to the number of ports that could be forwarded.) However, I can see how the Smart WiFi interface is much more user friendly for the average user who isn't a network guru.
Another thing I have noticed is that the 5GHz network actually stays up. For whatever reason, the 5GHz network on my E8350 was inconsistent at best.
The one complaint I have about the WRT1900ACS has to do with external storage. I previously had a WD Studio II connected to the ESATA port on my E8350. Thgat configuration worked great. I plugged the same drive into the WRT1900ACS and it does not recognize the drive. The ESATA light on the front is illuminated, but the router itself does not find the drive despite hitting refresh under External Storage. I tried a few things to get it to recognize the drive such as rebooting the router, unplugging the hard drive, etc. Finally, it did recognize the drive, but showed the usage was 0 of 0. I don't know yet if it is because of an incompatible file system or something else. I did not see an option to format the drive within the router to make it a compatible file system, so having that would have been nice. I primarily use the drive for scratch anyways, so it would not be an issue to reformat it.
So far, I'm quite happy with this router and may move my E8350 to be in bridged mode to expand wireless coverage, although the WRT1900ACS covers all the areas inside my home.

Awsome features, feel & looks
I received this router a week ago, from the moment I opened the box briefly read the instructions, connected and went to the web link, it was amazing how fast the menu came up on my screen, it was very easy to setup as I did not have to change anything but the main password, all my wireless devices connected very easy, my android & apple IPhones picked up right away and automatically choose the 5GHZ connection (that was awesome) my external drive connected after a reboot and I was sharing my movie collections right away. It took me less than 30 minutes to do the complete default setup from opening the box to connecting and configuring the router. I could access my DVR remotely and it seemed to be faster when viewing my security cameras over the internet.

Best Router on the Market
I got this Router a couple of weeks ago to replace my old EA4500 and at first I didn't think I would notice a difference but boy was I wrong. The firmware on this product is much more stable than firmware on older routers, I get a consistent connection, and a more capable flow of data, I'm getting faster times for web page loading and faster download times Vs. my older router. The design of the router is a huge plus. This is a definite must have product if you want to stream movies or play video games at top speed and best connection.

Thumbs up to Linksys for the great features!
Received the router 7 days ago and have been thoroughly exploring the features.
Setup was easy. I cabled it up and powered on, opened a browser to do a setup manually and a setup wizard came up and asked it I wanted to use auto setup or manual. I figured why not and went with auto.
After it finished, I manually checked the settings to make sure they were defaulted the way I wanted, and I was satisfied.
I have two pc’s hooked via Ethernet (1 Win10 and 1 Win8.1), several android phones, 2 laptops via wireless G (both Win10), three android tables via wireless, an android TV box via Ethernet, a Chromecast, a Laptop with Win8.1 via 5G, and finally a Windows 10 tablet wireless.
I especially like the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi chance to manage network via a browser from anywhere, and the android app to use my cell phone. Only drawback is the limitations of the android app – it is more for checking and not so much managing my network.
I like the idea of having parental controls although I haven’t used it. I am using the feature that takes the wireless networks down at self-determined times for any day of the week.
Overall I’m very happy with the Linksys WRT 1900ACS. I was using a different brand AC1200 that I now have hooked up in another room as an access point off the 1900ACS.

Great features, build, and power...but...
I received the WRT 1900 ACS about 2 weeks ago, replacing another 11AC 1900 router. Setup was extremely easy using Linksys Smart WiFi. as easy as it gets, and I like having the remote app allowing me to access the router settings through my android phone. (My wife had a friend over who wanted to connect and I was able to change the 2.4ghz channel settings to allow her older device to log on from my office at work)
I like the "throw-back" look having started wireless networking with the WRT 54G. The router though large is not "huge" and it runs cooler than most recent routers that I've owned.
Also, the front indicator lights for power/connections/etc. are a soft blue - easy to view but at the same time not harshly bright or intrusive a nice design touch.
Signal strength and range on both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz channels is crazy-good, easily eclipsing my previous 11AC 1900 router, particularly extending the usable range of the 5ghz channel. We only live in a little over 1,100 square feet, but, there are a multitude of competing networks nearby, so a strong signal is important.
5ghz speed and performance is excellent, all of our 5ghz enabled devices perform very well and my ethernet connected computer and NAS run flawlessly.
I have not flashed DD-WRT, as the features that I use are available through Smart WiFi, but in the future I may experiment with it.
We run 10 -12 devices including a Roku, wireless printer, smart phones, tablets, laptops, a desktop computer, and NAS. Even when traffic was heavy with file back-ups and streaming video the WRT 1900 ACS handled everything easily.
Unfortunately, I experience random re-boots for no apparent reason (about once a day or less), and throughput on the 2.4ghz channel is slower than it should be despite having an excellent signal and connection.
I am hoping that a future firmware upgrade corrects this, but until then I can't really recommend this as "ready for prime time".

Quick, Simple and Powerful
The WRT 1900ACS was simple to setup, only took me about 20 mins from the timw I opened the box, till I was connecting devices. I use both Ethernet and Wireless devices. I have some devices that don't support the 5Ghz band, they connected on the 2.4Ghz with out any problems. The 5Ghz devices also connected with no problems at all. This router has the best range of any router I have ever used. I have no problem connecting and staying connected anywhere in my house. If you stream many shows or music, there is a setting that allows you to set a priority on up to 3 devices for streaming. It seems to ramp up streaming speeds faster and with no buffering. One of my favorite things is the ability to connect remotely via Android or IOS and Web.

Belkin sent free sample to evaluate.
It was an easy installation following instructions and connected immediately to the internet using automatic connect option.
Linksys Smart Wi-Fi software made changing the configuration to match my network easy after replacing an existing Cascading router.
Wireless Banks 2.4 GHz connects at 300.0 Mbs and
5.0 GHz connects at 867.0 Mbs
as I don't have a faster wireless adapters for the 600 or 1300 Mbs.
1 G Ethernet is Great.

This is one of the best router I've ever encounter
Although this router was given to me for free, the following is my honest and independent opinion.
Mnay routers had passed my hands and he WRT1900ACS is one of the best. The router itself is packages securely in its box but it is easy to remove it.
The setup process was quick and worked without a hitch. I was able to use it, along my broadband modem, in less than 10 minutes. Defining port rules is very intuitive and the overview screen provides all the necessary information.
As a wired router I was able to pull around 928Mbps between my computer and my QNAP NAS. The wireless capabilities are very impressive - speed is great and the coverage is excellent. The WIFI signal reaches points that my previous router wasn't able to cover and it is strong and stable.
I've been using this router about a week so I can't assess its long term reliability but considering Linksys track record I don't expect any issue at this department.

This router is easy to install, setup, change and monitor – no special knowledge or skills necessary. Wireless speeds significantly above prior router (Linksys EA6200 2.4/5 GHz) with extremely quick and easy setup.
Installed the WRT1900 ACS router in place of my prior router to Xfinity’s 150 Mbps down/25 Mbps up service. Connecting the router, powering up and initial log on to the router was less than 3 minutes (using SSID and password preset). Logging in to the router to change SSID, Password and to review settings took less than 5 minutes. This was the easiest installation I have experienced (at least 12 router installs that I remember).
Installing and setting up a USB drive and establishing an FTP site was very easy – took less than 5 minutes to set up – much easier than the 3 NAS drives I have set up previously and this is much faster.
The available application for the iPhone allows changes on the fly and control over your device – makes changes so simple you almost want to change things just for fun.
OK now to the big questions – speed and distance:
To get a good size sample I chose 4 locations inside the house (router on second floor) so test sites were same floor 25 feet and 2 walls apart; main floor 20 foot diagonal distance; main floor 35 feet from router and basement – two floors and multiple walls apart at a distance of 45 feet. Also tested from garage (multiple walls/floors 45 feet from router). Two outside locations were tested 65 feet from router. Tests were run 6 times each day at set times through day using new and old routers.
Tested on both 2.4 and 5 GHz and on b/g and n standards. Tests were done with single wireless device engaged and with multiple devices (11 devices 6 on 2.4 GHz and 5 on 5 GHz) to see if signal deteriorated. Additionally, a 2.4 GHz wireless phone was in area.
Happily, through the tests (Speedtest.net using same server), I found that speeds increased at all tested locations under configurations (2.4/5 GHz and b/g and n standards). Download speeds on the old router averaged 87 Mbps at 2.4GHz on and 114 Mbps at 5 GHz with n standard. The WRT1900 ACS provided average download speeds on the n standard of 114 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 133 Mbps on 5 GHz. Upload speeds averaged 22 Mbps in all tests on old router and just over 24 Mbps on the new router.
My only disappointment is in a few tests as I approached house from several houses away, the old router was a bit stronger at 110 feet at 5 GHz and the same at 2.4 GHz. Will need to check into adjusting the antennas or maybe see if a stronger antenna is available – maybe try a range extender – though I rarely do much off my wireless at a distance even as great as I tested – but we all want the best – right??

excellent range and easy configuration
Received the WRT1900ACS router and compared it to my Asus AC3100. The Linksys router matched Upload and Download speeds on all of my devices. The range was also comparable with both exerting the same gain at the longest range. The Linksys GUI interface made it easier to configure and administer while giving the user a better view of the devices connected to it. The Linksys router interface was better equipped for regular home users, while the Asus router had many more features for the more advanced users. I finally decided to configure the Linksys router in a bridge mode and the performance of my network jumped to the same speed on all of the corners of the house. The download speeds trippled at the farthest side matching the same speed I had right by the first router. It was great. I have 11 devices connected wirelessly and 8 devices hard wired.

I received this router as a sample for review. I have purchased Linksys routers for years now and this one tops all the other ones that I had purchased. It is definitely faster than the previous models. Performance is excellent, it provides fast and stable internet to all the devices in my household, which has 2 wireless desktop computers, 3 tablets and several cell phones. My husband plays online games and noticed that his game is running better. Overall, this is the best router that I ever had and I can only recommend it!

I replaced my linksys EA6500 with the WRT1900ACS and was rewarded with better wifi speeds and range. The antennas feel a lot sturdier than some other routers (I was also using a TRENDNET TEW-827DRU. The only trouble I've had is trying to configure the router manually over the LAN ports...the router took a long time to respond then asked for a password I hadn't setup. After many attempts I was able to find this password in small print inside the included manual (the other passwords were on the router itself).

Great Support. Easy to Set-up.
I am not too technical, so I was willing to pay more for a router that was well supported. I bught this router thinking that I would need to call Linksys suport to help with set-up. Instead, I was able to do it all myself with only a few IM conversations. Been working great on my 2 story house. Still have a few places with signal degradation, but no real signal loss.

A great overall improvement from my old router!
I've ran through so many routers in the past, and at this moment, this is one of my top picks. The packaging made sure it was secure, and everything you needed was inside the box- just plug and play, essentially. It was very well-packaged, and considering the price tag, it should be!
As soon as I disconnected my old router and put this one in, I was greeted with a first-time setup on my hard-wired PC and was thankful the setup was easy.
This was a major increase in range. From the room it is situated in, between two walls I would drop signal easily. Now, my signal stays the same from three walls away, and now the internet works outside, making it easy to sit in the backyard watching videos or streaming music! Not only that, but I haven't had a single hiccup yet in terms of connecting and disconnecting devices from my router.
The UI is easy to navigate, and everything is where it should be. Sometimes, some options are under tabs it shouldn't be with other companies, but what you're looking for is 9 times out of 10 in the tab you're clicking. Port forwarding was a breeze for my fish tank local server. Even the mass network storage I connected has given me no issues yet. Changing channels of the 2.4 and the 5.0 GHz networks worked like a charm too, so there's little to no interference.
At a price tag like this, the router does not fail to deliver. The sleek, aggressive look reminiscent of the WRT54G and it's features, speed, and range only does the original line justice, and takes what Linksys is good at and amplifies it (no pun intended) to a whole new level of wireless computing. A definite recommendation!

Great, but will not handle more than 14-16 devices
I have both the WRT1900AC and WRT1900ACS and the most that either of them can have connected it about 14ish. After that number the router(s) struggle to stay booted and have issues transferring data. I had the problem with the WRT1900AC originally and was told to purchase the new ACS router and everything would be fine however it is not. I have about 36 devices (Amazon ECHO, DOT, AppleTV, iPads, iPods, iPhones, MACS, PC's, TV's, Security Systems etc. But the ABSOLUTE most that each of these devices can handle is the 14 that I stated. I do hope that someone reads this and can shed some light on as to what router can handle that many devices and you don't have to have your home filled with 6 or more SSID's.

The WRT1900ACS had been on my radar for some time now, but I'd held off getting one limping along with my old wireless N unit in place. However as our household became more and more reliant on wireless networking while expanding our bandwidth needs it became clear that it was time to upgrade.
With the huge range of internet use, and virtually all devices connecting wireless, I wanted some way to prioritized traffic and even devices. This unit offers a very simple user interface to select preferred devices and applications giving them greater priority.
I was curious as to the difference between my old unit, which had been faithful, but was also limited. Putting this to the test I fired up two network servers, one which hosts Exchange Email, three computers, an XBox, two tablets, four cell phones and one laptop. Then put them all simultaneously online using them in normal ways. Facebook, Netflix, Xbox, web browsing, email, YouTube etc.
To my surprise the system did not bog down. The ISP bandwidth is fairly fast so the real question was how the internal network would handle things, not the internet speed. There was marked improvement across the board, and especially so once I reset the device priority. For example, while I edited a PowerPoint online using my wireless laptop, I also wanted my wife to be able to watch her online shows, and still not impede my Exchange server. Across the board all were able to function without any indication of speed issues.
Next I wanted to see how the multiple antennas would help, or if they made much difference at all. I mounted the unit vertically, tested, then horizontally, tested, then moved the antennas around. Interestingly enough, the orientation did not impact wireless signals with both orientations offering strong throughput. I did see some slight improvement as I moved the external antennas around, and suspect that this helped overcome some large obstacles like refrigerator and other things that would block and or scatter the signal.
Verdict - You cannot pry this from my hands. It has a permanent place in my network!

Linksys WRT 1900ACS Dual Band WiFi Router
I've been using the new Linksys WRT1900ACS Dual Band Router for almost a month now and it was a pleasure to set up and a pleasure to use. I especially like the ability to control the router from my smart phone using the Smart WiFi app where I can see which devices are actively using the network and I can enable or disable guest access very quickly whether I'm at home or not. The front panel display and especially the separate indicators for low and high band are helpful in gauging how much of my bandwidth is being consumed by WiFi connected devices. The effective range and evenness of coverage has been quite remarkable.

Great except it must be reset every 2-3 days
I like the features of this router:
1) dual bands works great throughout my home.
2) parental controls works well.
3) priority media streaming works well except you can only prioritize 3 devices.
4) UI is very easy to use and visualize the devices with customized names and icons.
5) ability to conduct speed tests easily.
6) I look forward to trying out the shared external drive.
My one complaint is that it sometimes just stops connecting with the Internet through my Arris cable modem. I have to power it off and on to fix the connection. This happens every 2-3 days.

LINKSYS WRT1900ACS DUAL BAND WIFI ROUTER
My review is of the linksys wrt1900acs dial band wifi router. I was having multiple network issues throughout our house between 2 network switches, a router, and cable modemn. I was sceptical at first, but this wifi router is a beast. It uploads and dowloads at amazing speeds across hardwired and wireless. All of out issues got resolved once we upgraded to\
this router. I love the app that you can access the router from anywhere. We haven't had any issues with our network once we replaced our old router with this unit. I would definetly recommend this router to anyone who is a cord cutter as well as gamers this router won't disappoint.

Long Time Customer - Mixed Review
This is my third Linksys router I've bought over the years and I was hoping the connectivity would have been improved with this newest model but not so much. I have multiple devices that for some reason lose their connection and you need to reboot the router to get them to work. It's frustratingId. I was hoping for a higher quality product for the price. I have plenty of coverage throughout my house but devices just lose the connection. I've looked for software updates but it says I'm current. I need to call tech support or it's possible I just got a bad one.

Only as fast as your ISP will allow
I purchased the WRT1900ACS to replace an old router which was compatible with Comcast. It had become very slow and required rebooting nearly everyday. After checking the Comcast site for compatible routers, I found two Linksys models that would work. I made this purchase for two reasons -- 1: Not having to pay an ever \
increasing monthly fee for an outdated Router and 2: The ability to change and hide my Home Network name and password.\
Hidding my network was very important to me. My old router was hacked because it could be seen and I could not change the default password which, apparently, was in the wild. This unit has been running for nearly a month without fail. I have 1 hardwired PC attached. I use wireless connections for 2 iPADs, 1 All-in-one PC, 1 ePrinter, and 3 laptops. Depending on what I am doing, the laptops are sometimes RJ45 connected. I am satisfied with this purchase.

I always used Linksys WRT, I think it's a great, easy to use product. and more than anything reliable. \
I was very disappointed with the new firmware done for this software. apparently there was a rebooting issue. I experienced some rebooting but nothing too bad. \
For the products/companies I trust I set the auto-update to on. I used to trust Linksys, not anymore. The new firmware remove more than 10dB in the signal and screwed up the device map really bad... no QA obviously because everyone is experiencing the same problem. I had to go back to the old firmware and wait (a couple of months now) to see if some developer work on it to get it fixed... \
\
I cannot say I recommend Linksys anymore and this is at least my 10th product I buy (and probably the last one)

This is one of the more expensive routers I have bought with WiFi, but works great, awesome range, before I could not get a signal in my garage and now I can get it two houses away! Setup was a little extensive, but three passwords later and a game of 20 questions, I was rollin good.

My old router had to be reset almost everyday. The Linksys WRT1900ACS Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router with Ultra-Fast 1.6 GHz CPU has to be reset in one month so far.

Solid Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router
Belkin asked me to evaluate and review their WRT1900ACS Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router. I received the router 4-5 months ago. The setup was easy and so far I have been very pleased with the performance and reliability. We have about 25 devices connected to both bands of the router without any problems. We stream HD video throughout the house to appliances connected to four different WUMC710 5GHz bridges without any problems. I am also impressed with the ftp speed which is about 300Mbps using a fifth WUMC710 bridge.

I bought a cable modem and this wireless router so I could get rid of the cable internet modem and stop paying a monthly fee. I also have VOIP for my home phone service. With the old modem/router, my phone would not work without a daily reset. With this new setup, I have not had any problems with my phone service, (knock on wood). I love it!!

I bought this as part of my plan to cut the cable TV cord. The setup was quick and easy and I was connected in no time. So far I haven't had any problems streaming or using the internet. The only thing I've noticed is that my internet download speed of 100mbps sometimes drops to between 30 and 40mbsp on wifi. It immediately goes back to 100+ over wifi if I reboot the router. I do plan to look into some of the other features but haven't had time yet. I'm especially hoping to find a setting that will auto reboot the router on a schedule.

I've now had this router for 6 months. I am amazed by the features and ease of changing settings. Within 3 clicks, I can activate the guest network when company comes over and turn it off just as easily. Anything I have to do in the router is quick and easy. I use this router with an AC1900 as a slave router in the garage (200 feet from the house) and a switch for the living room TV and DVD. My external drive connected via a SATA cable transmits videos to my living room TV flawlessly via DLNA. I must say that this is the best router that I have owned so far.

great for tree device at the same time online
this router is great for one or two device at same time use internet online,\
if you like me you would not buy this router. example i have a NAS storage running all time and other device is streaming video on a smart tv and another computer is gaming at the same time. so now i have three device running on the internet and if i add another device running on the internet so is will low down the internet speed but my internet provider give me a good speed at 105 Mbps download and 35 Mbps upload.\
(here why) so one of the four device have one device low down the internet and go very slow because this router is not have mu mimo function.\
I was not recommended this router!!\
DON'T BUY THIS ROUTER LOSS YOU MONEYBUT IF YOU WANT TO BUY A GOOD ROUTER BUY THE ROUTER WITH MU MIMO FUNCTION FOR EXAMPLE LINKSYS EA7500 MAX-STREAMв„ў AC1900 MU-MIMO GIGABIT ROUTER

Works great sometimes. Suddenly at least once a day all devices get disconnected.\
Also when you try and print the printers are listed as offline. I have to reboot to correct these things which is very annoying.

I have been researching for a way to increase speed and range for some time. This is my pick for a quad level house. I have it set up and let me tell you, I have never had something so simple to get started. There is a dvd with it but didn't have to use it as it automatically recognized itself on all my devices. I only had to set up one time and the other smart phones etc followed right along.

Works fine - except VOIP!
It routes everything, except VOIP! This is year 2016 (almost 2017) and routers are still having issues supporting VOIP? HUH?

Finally a wireless router that reaches everywhere
This is my 3rd and last wireless router I will ever need to buy. I have a very large two story brick home that always had spots where wireless would not reach. Now every corner of my house has a strong and very fast wireless signal. I now have 4 computers, 2 iPads, 3 iPhones, 1 amazon fire stick and a wireless printer on my new router. The speed test on the computers is just as fast on wireless as it was on Ethernet. I can now be outside in the furthest part of my yard and still get a five bar strong and very fast signal. The setup was a "piece of cake". I am very happy.

Good Router so far. Longevity in Question?
I've had Belkin, NETGEAR and Linksys routers in the past none of them last very long from 2-4 years. Belkin was the worst, all have only 90 day warranties and tech support. \
Belkin now owns Linksys and I question their quality control. Having said all of this I do like Linksys software especially the iPhone app. If this router doesn't hold up I will either rent one from my cable company or consider an Asus router.

Nice interface/wireless, but no OpenDNS
Pros: Well organized, relatively easy to understand, downright pleasant web interface. Powerful wireless signal with individual internet schedules and ability to individually turn on/off wireless frequencies. Overall, seems relatively stable and reliable. No apparent limitations on MAC filtering or DHCP reservations like some competitors. I like the idea of the support for open source firmware but I've been too chicken to try it yet. May need to due to some concerns below...\
\
Cons: One of the most useful Parental Controls in a router is to be able to choose your own DNS Server for content filtering, such as OpenDNS. Although there are fields that seem to be for this purpose, tech support tells me this router doesn't support OpenDNS. Either the function doesn't work properly or it's very misleading in how it is organized. I did my homework but, had I known this, I would not have purchased a Linksys. Barring this, I thought that at least I could ban specific web sites using the built in functionality for that purpose. That didn't work either. I'm still debating if I should use this device as nothing more than a wireless access point (a pretty good one) and go back to my old router to get OpenDNS working again.\
Also, I purchased a 256 GB USB 3.0 SSD drive to connect to this router and use as my primary NAS server. I continually had dropped connections, file problems, etc. so that a forced router reboot was becoming very common. I finally gave up on it as a NAS server since it behaves much better as a router.

Have been using this router for several weeks and have not encountered any issues. Works reliably and has excellent range. I also really like the PC utility that allows to set priority devices like my Roku. My only complain is their isn't an App like this for my iPad.

Great product! If it has a flaw it would be...
The only possible area it could improve is the fact that it has no protection from my "in home" hacker aka teenager who likes to reset it and completely change the setup an for lock me out of it at least once a week. Lol

I would recommend this product.
Linksys WRT1900ACS Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router with Ultra-Fast 1.6 GHz CPU. I have been a Linksys fan for years. They have never let me down. The hardware always works and the online support is USA based. They were very helpful. I am not knowledgeable in this area and probably didn't need to buy a product this far up the chain. But, when I saw "Ultra-Fast" I went for it. It works perfectly. They only installation problem I had was self inflected. They helped me right away. No problems.

Incredible Linksys router
I've had this router for about a month. What a difference in speed and signal over my older router. I am delighted with the performance and the price. A family member also has this router, and has a strong signal all across her large house. I use it on a Uverse system with the wifi turned off in their modem, allowing the Linksys to show its stuff.

Random reboots 4-8 times a day. This seems to be a very common problem with absolutely no fix to be found. Will never by Linksys again.

What a great router! Setup was a breeze I used the Android app and was up in and running in less than 5 minutes. I bought this to boost my 5 GHz band and it did great I replaced a Linksys EA35000 with the WRT1900ACS doubled the range. I would recommend this to friends for sure.

My old WRT is about 3 years old and was very slow, but when I installed this new router, things changed drastically. Super fast down loads and up loads. since I already had Linksys Smart Wi-Fi, the set up automatically picket it up. I had to re-add the devices. Everything else was automatic. I am very pleased with this unit.

It has worked flawlessly for a year now.
I have been using this router for about a year now with no problems and much better wireless coverage than my previous router. It just sits there on a high shelf and works for all my 12 wireless devices. I just received a request to upgrade my attached SAMKNOWS ISP monitoring Whitebox router to more accurately monitor the speed of my COX ISP, prompting this review after using it for a year. Yes, I work for the govt.
