Product reviews for Storage Tape, 3" Core, 1.88" x 54.6 yds, Clear, 6/Pack

I have used Scotch Package Tape for MANY uses; most recently for sealing boxes of recycling materials. My family is ne to recycling and we are excited to recycle our paper products and are using Scotch Package Tape to seal each carboard box when we fill it to take it to our local Chamber of Commerce. We also use it for practical uses, such as sending gifts in the mail and household needs... but nothing has been quite as exciting as our recyclying experience!

I purchased a different brand of packing tape in the past and ended up throwing it away because of how poor the quality was. Once I purchased Scotch brand, I will never purchase anything else! I used this tape in my recent move and not one box opened in transit, even the ones with heavy items like dishes. I also use this tape for other household projects, like laminating a self-made luggage tag. I love this tape and will never buy another brand again!

This tape is the only tape to use when shipping,I have been shipping package's for more than 20 years and this is the only tape I use.
The tape is the strongest,safest most secure for packages ship anywhere in the world.I ship all over the world and for safety and security when I ship internationally I use Scotch Brand heavy duty tape the only tape to use.
The Tape is so easy to use my 3 year old grandson does it for me.

I received a free sample of Scotch Brand Shipping Tape. It was very pretty and very efficient. I didn't have any problem with it sticking and It made my package unique. I also liked that it had a built in cutter so that I didn't have to search for the end each time I needed to use it as well as the fact that scissors weren't necessary.

I used the Scotch packaging tape to send pacages. The packaging tapes that were used in the past were not as good as Scotch. I will always use Scotch tapes for all my taping projects.

Tape does not stick to boxes. The tape came loose on every box it was used on. Was forced to re-tape every box a second time with another brand.

We used this tape on all our moving boxes and stored them in the garage for moving day. After several days we noticed the tape came loose on many of the boxes. We ended up having to retape them and hoped it stayed in place so the bottoms didn't drop out during the move. I won't buy again!

I'd give 0 stars if I could on this product. I should've read these reviews before I wasted the money on a dispenser pre-loaded with one roll and then a 3-pack. This tape is absolutely terrible. I don't understand why the company continues to make this product. All 7 boxes that I packed last night will need to be retaped (with a different brand of tape) because none of the tape is sticking to the boxes, even with reinforcement. Very disappointing and a huge waste of money.

I purchased this tape to use on all of our boxes for moving. The next morning the tape was not sticking to the box. I have never been so disappointed with a scotch brand product and I doubled my work and cost with this tape.

I purchased 16 rolls of this tape and used it to construct and seal 40 boxes of various sizes. The tape has peeled off the bottom, edges, and tops of the boxes. I am concerned that the boxes will open up from the bottom when movers pick them up. I started to reinforce the boxes with Gorilla Tape, which actually works. Scotch Moving and Storage is inferior quality and it has created many more hours of packing since I need to re-tape with another brand.

Bought this tape for our move and it's been frustratingId I find myself having to add more tape to keep the box shut and the tape isnt sticking well to the boxes. I'll be buying another brand to tape all the boxes

I have always used Scotch brand tape.  And when moving or storing boxes have used the Moving & Storage tape.   We are packing to move at the end of the month and the tape quality is just horrible.  The tape does not stick!   We have had to tape the tops shut with at least two strips of tape along the top and then often have to go back and put another piece crossways on each side so that the tape doesn't lift.  The boxes are not overstuffed.   Very disappointing as we have never had this issue with Scotch brand before.

Moving & Packaging tape doesn't stick!  All our moving boxes are opening up within 12 hours of taping!  Seriously?

I have over 200 boxes taped in the last week.  The tape is now coming off?  Very disappointed!  All the boxes are opening up. Definitely not long lasting!

I am moving and bought two packages/four rolls each of the Moving & Storage Packaging Tape that is supposed to be long lasting.  It was more expensive than the other brands of packing tape but since it was Scotch brand and said long lasting I bought it.  I packed numerous boxes and taped them shut and the next day the tape was coming back off.  I put more tape on and it starting coming back off.  Every box I packed the tape has come back off of the cardboard box.

I bought Scotch brand tape because of its history of being such a good company.  I should have read the reviews.  This tape is terrible!  Doesn't stick to the boxes!  Just pops itself off so everything I thought was boxed and ready had to be completely retaped.  What a waste of effort!

This tape was used for moving. Even on light boxes the tape literally fell off of the boxes. I hadn't to go out and buy new tape to re-tape every box I had originally put this tape on. An infuriating waste of money on a sorry product.

After reading the first eight one-star reviews, I have experienced the same problem -- the tape will not stay stuck to cardboard boxes, no matter the box.  I agree with the reviewer who would not have imagined needing to review a 3M/Scotch brand product.  Suffice to say I will not buy this product ever again.

It's clear, it appears to have glue, I was not aware it was a joke and I would have been better off using static window clings to seal my boxes.

After a lifetime of using Scotch tape, I've made my last purchase. Your Storage and Packing tape shreds into tiny strips before you can get it off the roll. I'm sure I've thrown away more than half of the roll that was pieces that shredded one way or the other before I could get a full strip to seal a package or label. This is my last roll. How disappointing from a once great company!
