3M sent me a free laminator to try out, and I'm very impressed. It was easy to use, and I've found that it's handy for preserving all sorts of items. For example, I laminated a biking trail map for my husband, and it came out perfectly. I also tried it on luggage tags and other miscellaneous items.

The unit did take almost up to 7 minutes to heat up, but once it was hot, I didn't have to wait to feed items into the laminator. Be prepared for the unit to start automatically feeding items through, so make sure your items, especially small ones like luggage tags, are positioned correctly before you attempt to insert into the laminator.

I never considered owning a laminator at home until I tried it out, and now I'll be using it all the time.

I've typically enjoyed using this product in my classroom. Recently, I was using it and it shut off without warning mid-way through laminating something. I unplugged it and let it cool off before trying to use it again and it would not turn on.

I bought one of these laminators to use for my classroom. I used it 3 times then I went to use it again and it wouldn’t turn on. I took it back and exchanged it and I turned that one on and in the middle of laminating it jammed. I put the lamination in correctly and did everything right. I do not understand how a NEVER jam technology can jam when you follow the directions. I will be taking this back and will never buy another scotched brand laminator, I will find one that actually works and is well worth my money.

Bought 3 month ago and never used.  Should have at least tried it.  Today first day of school I plug in to use and the ready light never come on, it has been over an hour of waiting.  With cover open then closed, then open again.  And nothing.  Don't waste your money and time.

Worked great for about a month, (This was bought in the middle of July)  then the rollers quit rolling the pages through. The machine would not even heat up. Several times I could unplug the laminator and then turn it back on and it would work again, but not even 2 months after purchase it quit working. I am now contacting the company to see if they stand behind their product. Being in education I cannot afford to purchase a new laminator ever month.

It worked great and I loved laminating both in 3 and 5 mil. They have held up great.  Unfortunately, I went to laminate on Sunday (after only having it for three months and using it infrequently during that time) and it absolutely conked out.  I think it  overheated even though I was on the second page I tried laminating.  It kept getting hotter. I powered it off and unplugged it to let it cool down. Now it won't turn on.  Absolutely disappointing that it broke so quickly.

I use this laminator for a couple of days and sadly every single paper waves at the bottom. I laminate some of my children's drawings and its looks horrible.

I am a teacher and love to have a laminator to use in a quick pinch.  The great thing about this is that it doesn't jam.  The terrible feature is that it breaks rather quickly. I've gone through two already and need to find a new one.  Both times the laminator wouldn't heat up anymore after about 15 uses, which isn't much! Very disappointing!
