Product reviews for Optima Staples, 0.25" Leg, 0.5" Crown, Steel, 3,750/Pack

Other than coming in a nice metal container, on close examination, the staples seem to be nearly identical to the far less expensive standard Swingline staples. The packaging claims "advanced tip geometry". What the heck this means is anyone's guess _UO as I examine them with a magnifying glass, I could see no significant difference in their tips as compared to Swingline's standard staples. Unless you want a nifty metal box, I would save your money.

When our Electric Stapler was jamming, the first thing the Rep from Swingline asked was "are you using the Optima Staples"? ... we were not.  So I bought them.  I guess there are less jams now, but I sort of agreed with the other review.  They really didn't look much different, just more money.  So I lined them up side by side, and the "special" staples seem to be a tiny bit taller than the Standard ones, and they do feel a little heavier.  So it looks like I am forced to spend a little more money in this case.
