Product reviews for Seventh Generation 100% Recycled Bathroom Tissue

This is the only Seventh Generation product I won't buy again. Have used Charmin Ultra (and formerly White Cloud) for my entire life, so I may be spoiled. This stuff is really bad on the bum when you're having to use more than the usual amount. It requires using 3-4 times as much to avoid the thrill of your fingers or moisture going through. I'd really rather buy recycled. I'd really rather support a business with values more similar to mine. But this is where I excuse myself.

Saw the other reviews, quite frankly I'd be surprised if it was as thick as some of the other more mainstream brands, but honestly it works great. I know it's more expensive, but really I buy it for another reason, not because I'm concerned with what I wipe mybutt with. Although if it was bad, I would definitely not use it...

I have allergies to inks, perfumes and chemicals. This TP has saved the day for me. I was having some rather serious and unpleasant problems with the name brands. All of these issues began to be relieved immediately. I am so happy I found this brand.

I hope they change this product, as it is really inferior to the other quality products they offer. The toilet paper rarely tore at the perforations and would rip so unevenly, to the point it would take more paper each bathroom visit. Although the sq.ft. ratio to price was comparable, after normal bathroom use requiring more paper, the cost equation changed to more expensive. I hope this feedback helps them make a better toilet paper to carry their quality name.

We buy in bulk and have been long-time purchasers, very happy with this product. Not anymore. This product has gone through a noticeable change, and is now too thin for its intended purpose. If things return to the customary thickness, we'll post again and return as customers. Otherwise, we'll have to find another solution.

I'm pleased with the product and am planning to switch to the non-bleached. My concern though is with the prominent competitor advertising of no-tube rolls: Extremely powerful, incremental improvement re: waste. I hope to receive here some word on what 7thGen is doing in this regard.

I have been using this toilet paper and also their paper towels. I am very pleased with these products and so its my family.

I’ve been using this TP for years, willing to pay a little more for the healthier alternative. (I even liked it so much that when my local stores stopped carrying the larger quantity packages I started ordering them online.) I just received my new order and there’s much more than the packaging that has changed.\
The paper feels and looks much thinner. It looks and feels like the paper has been rolled much more loosely to give the appearance of having the same diameter as the old rolls. I am including pictures of one of my old SG rolls next to a new one. \
It is also a bit stiffer and more rough. I am very disappointed and will be looking for a different brand to order next time.

It really does pain me to give any seventh generation product a bad review because I am a die heart user of almost all their products but I’m in the group of really disappointed customers after the changes they’ve made to the paper. Here’s to hoping it changes back..

I have been a customer of Seventh Generation products for over 10 years due to the environmental consciousness of the company and products. However, I am completely dismayed at the recent change for cases of toilet paper to be provided in PLASTIC WRAP. I am sure this is to reduce costs, but especially in this day and age when plastic waste is so clearly a major environmental problem, I can't believe SG has stooped to single use, non recyclable plastic, that most assuredly will end up in land fills. I will be changing to a no plastic product.

This is a lot softer than you would think it would be considering its made of 100% recycled materials

I am the type of person that likes thick, soft, and cushy toilet paper, the kind with lotion or aloe in it that feels nice. Unfortunately, this is not my favorite. It is on the thinner side and a little scratchy. In a pinch I'd buy this again, but I think there are better options out there.

I love this toilet paper. I like that I know that it is 100% recyclable. It is strong and durable unlike some other brands that I have used in the past. It is a bit pricier than other brands but I think it is worth it.

Bought this to try out and really liked the price. It is affordable and something I will definitely buy again. I don't believe on skimping on toilet paper and this gets the job done.

We love this toilet paper. It works well, is good quality, and is made with recycled paper (so its less waste & better for the environment). Highly recommend!

I really like this tissue. It feels ok on the skin, and doesnt feel rough like some of the other brands. I do wish the price was less. Always boggled my mind that recycled things cost more!

Works just as well as the other brands, and you know that it came from an environmentally responsible source. The price point to similar to the alternatives, so if youre living your best sustainable life then go for it.

I really like this bathroom tissue! It does the job and I have no complaints! I love that its 100% recycled as well, I dont want to buy another bathroom tissue now

I just purchased this toilet paper and it seems to have a scent. But I can't find anywhere on the package where it says that it is scented. Can someone please explain? \
In general I do love that it is better for the environment, but scented items are not welcome in this household.

I love this brand! I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible and this makes it possible in the bathroom.

First off, love that its recycled. The rolls themselves last a pretty decent amount of time.

Love that its 100% recycled product, but does its job well and well priced as well.

Ive been trying to use more recycled items and be more conscious of what My family and I use now. This is a good step in the right direction.

I love seventh generation. All of their products. Every environmental friendly and crunchy.

Love that this toilet paper is recycled because I want to lighten my impact on the planet. It does the job. I just wish it was softer and thicker.
