Product reviews for Clean Release Painter's Tape, 3" Core, 0.94" x 60 yds, Blue, 24/Carton

The paint tape worked well but there was quite a bit of bleeding onto my baseboards. I also had a roll of this really expensive stuff that worked much better.

So, do I go with the OK brand and get a few mistakes.....
Or, do I go with the expensive stuff and not be botherd with cleaning up mistakes.

We have recently painted every room in our home. We used this tape to go around all windows, baseboards, and vents. It went on easy, stayed in place, and the paint did not run behind it. It worked great for us and less expensive than most brands!

This masking tape works really well. It won't peel or scuff up your walls. Love this tape; comes in good handy.

I applied this tape and removed it as directed and it completely ruined my brand new paint job! I have to re-paint an entire wall because when I removed the tape, it took the paint that was connected from the piece of tape to the wall and completely peeled it off. It happened in 4 different places with 2 different brands of paint so I know it was the tape.So not only did I waste money on the tape, but now i have wasted money on paint. Not to mention there was definitely some major bleeding and adhesive left behind on the surface it was supposed to be protecting. I followed thew directions to the letter, but this product just didn't do anything for me but cost me more money.So this product was utterly useless and cost me so much more money. I would have been better off not using anything at all.

I loved using this tape for my painting. It is easy to apply to my surface and easy to remove when I make a mistake (quite often, lol). In addition once I was done with the project and the paint had dried it removed easily without ripping any paint away from the wall. :) I highly recommend this product and it works amazingly if you know how to use it and follow directions.

This product is great for painting. Anytime you need to paint this will give you clean lines every time!

I recently repainted one of our bathrooms, and it had a lot of wood trim that needed protected from the paint. I was able to use this product, and I was impressed with how well it kept paint bleed from getting on the trim. I was easy to put on and easy to take off. I will definitely recommend this product to anyone that has a painting project.

this tape was so good. it went on so easy and we easier to remove. i did a great paint job by using this clean release tape. it did not hurt the places i put the tape. it came off clean

If you don't want to worry about painting mess when doing doors , walls and windows this product is great. Even works for a messy painter like me and doesn't peel off paint as it is easy release.

Very easy to use and leaves perfect lines. I would highly recommend it to all my family and friends!

It will not even stick to the surface that I need to paint. I can't even use it to hold up a piece of paper on the wall there's no stickiness to it and definitely has no adhesive. I'm usually impressed with Duck brand products but this is the 99 cent store version of blue tape it doesn't work & I can't return it so now I'm just out my money and still have to go buy new blue tape.

I have tried getting it to stick to metal, wood, paper, plastic, all with very poor results. I thought maybe I purchased a defective roll but after reading the reviews it is highly unlikely. What a waste of money, will be going back to using Scotch 3m blue tape.

I'm an experienced painter and never had problems with other painters tape. This product ripped paint off my walls, and completely bled through the tape onto my trim. Horrible product. I bought this because it was inexpensive and now I see why. I will spend more on a better product next time.

Used this brand of clean release tape for the first time today while painting my daughters room. Taped this morning, painted this afternoon and removed tape tonight only to be left with a thin blue line at the edge of the paint. The tape didn’t tear, it just left blue behind on all the trim! Never had this happen before with 3M- we are so disappointed and upset.

This is the worse painters tape I have ever purchased. Paint bleeds under. Would NEVER use again!! I took time in the middle of painting to leave this review, that’s how displeased I am!

I painted the walls of my hallway over a week ago, and taped off the trim around the doors and windows yesterday. When I peeled the tape off not only did it not peel off in one piece (kemp’s ripping and i’d have to stop and pick off the corner to continue peeling off the tape) but it also peeled huge spots of the paint underneath. It also bled EVERYWHERE. I’m going to have to go back and touch up like every inch of the trim. Might as well have not used this tape.

New off the shelf this tape trimmed a room for painting. Every place a small amount of paint got on the tape it bled through. Each piece of tape came off in 6 pieces or more and then we got to get the paint that bled through off of the trim. I would not buy this product again for painting.
